Train Jits x 2 per day( 10-12 classes per week) Spar at 100% Conditioning x 2 per week Judo/wrestling once a week Always go 100% and tap fast Average class: ~10 rolls Closer to Tournament chill for 2-3 days
I've seen many people training in my life and nobody trained like Bernardo. He is the most impressive guy I saw in terms of intensity. He is definitely one of the best of all time! Great interview!
Its all in the schedule, and how much you can stick to it. I lift in the morning, go to work, then jiujitsu in the evening. 5 times a week, maybe 1 or 2 more over on a good week.
I’m 41. 7 kids and two jobs (one part time) plus my wife has her career. I train jj five days a week for 90 minutes and I lift four days a week. Jj training is usually self defense, technique, specific training then live for about 30 minutes. For lifting I only do compound lifts and get in 120 reps per body part, per 7 days, and I hit each body part twice in those seven days (ex. chest Monday 60 reps and chest Thursday 60 reps) This routine doesn’t destroy my body and I still have lots of free time for my family. I hope this can help anyone trying to balance jj, weights, a family and a career. God bless.
Thats some awesome advice! I've been training 3 years, and I'm still surprised how much I learn about my own body from different tweeks, tightness, or failed techniques. Always learning! Thanks for the video! An awesome reminder to be evaluating yourself

13 sessions a week, plus weight training. I feel beat up if I train 5x a week. That's commitment!
well he probably didnt have to earn money when he did train 13times a week

Also, there is a good amount of conditioning that you have work up too. Pay attention to your body.
Five a week? I trained thrice last week and laid in bed all weekend making dad noises.
@@rubenquezada3999 lol what do you work part time

He stayed 10 - 13 classes a day. How long have this classes been? Thanks for the awnser.
I think he meant 13 sessions per week
@@ICEMPIREdemon Thank you. God bless America

Currently training 18 bjj sessions a week. Wanna follow the same path as bernardo!
@@MonkeyHop hope you succeed!
This is why i don't but the "khabib never taps at the gym" thing, if a 4 time bjj champion taped once a day there is no way anybody never taps imo
He trains in Dagestan, it may just be there he’s the guy and nobody is on his level. Just a guess
@@CalebSpears1 je also trains at Aka in the us, but maybe you are right, je maybe doesn't train with élite grapplers like the Renzo academy deth squad
Wonder how he'd do at ADCC
