I remember 87 and 91 vividly, but I’m ready for more. Halfway through this season I said we had championship pitching and AAA hitting. They did nothing at the deadline and I will say I was disappointed, but I’m not anymore. I get it. They knew what they had. This is a dangerous team. I’m a fan win or lose, but I’m excited for this team.

Micheal A Taylor was such an underrated signing. He’s an elite defensive center fielder and had a career year at the plate.
He definitely has had to play CF more than anyone expected and has gone above and beyond
A decent portion of the new acquisitions the Twins took in this year have panned out. Gray, Taylor, Lopez, Castro, Pagan. Front office really put in the work to create a team with a deeper bench
Re-watch that Correa recovery at home from the backstop camera angle a few times.

Absolute goosebumps listening to Provus/Gladden, and the crowd on AM radio all game long, electric!! We need more than just Lewis’ bat on offense if we want a deep playoff run, fellow Twins fans.

The way I figure it, if Lewis hits four home runs per game, as seems likely, we may not need much more offense than that.
The streak is over. Twins finally win a postseason game for the first time in like 30 years technically since 2004 but feels like 39 years since they've won a postseason game
The last time the Twins won a playoff game before this was 2004 I was born one year later in 2005 this was the first playoff win in my life and I will never forget it we ended the win drought now time to end the World Series drought

Sonny Gray saying just after leaving New York in 2018 he learned the Roger Beshens Football Slider was interesting to hear. Roger taught Sonny to grip it like a fastball, and just throw it like a Football, Stiff Wrist. Sonny like Charlie Morton might just be out of baseball years ago without that slider.

The Lewis and Taylor show for the Twins in this game. Those two were playing way above their pay grade 😉 If they can keep this going, and the ither bats start connecting and pitching stays strong the Twins could surprise some teams.

@@truthexplorer5600 I knew what you meant and I'm usually not the pedantic type, it's just that the Twins were the first MLB team to be named for the state rather than the city. This was because when the Minneapolis Lakers moved to LA due to low attendance it was considered to be due to fans in St. Paul and other towns feeling no investment in the team.
Fun fact, the next year the Vikings joined the NFL and became the first football team to do the same.

They thought that he might have been tipping off when he was going to throw the split finger instead of the fastball. None of the hitters were budging at all when he threw the splitter.

So just because they weren't swinging at the splitter, they automatically are cheating or something?
Meaning he might have been tipping his pitches. Meaning he was giving something away in his delivery. Not cheating just reading the pitcher. The commenter was saying this because gausman leafs the al in ks and was throwing nasty splitters and the twin didn't looked phased. Perhaps they saw something repetitive in his delivery when he throws the splitter. He wasn't accusing them of cheating

B. We share a birthday
C. The Jays have been my 2nd favorite team since I was a kid.

Never understood why the Twins went after Correa when they had Royce Lewis
Royce hasn’t been healthy or had no season cause of Covid
He’s been injured for like 6/7 years. He got drafted all the way back in 2017.
He's a gold glove caliber SS. They got him back this year by accident, but it is obvious he knows how to perform in the postseason. You can never have enough good players.
Correa is one of the best defensive SS on the league and always shows up in the postseason.
