মাহেশের রথযাত্রা ৬২৭ বছরের পুরানো। পুরীর জগন্নাথ মন্দিরের পরেই সবচেয়ে প্রাচীন জগন্নাথ মন্দির ও সব চেয়ে পুরানো রথযাত্রা মাহেশের রথ। মাহেশে প্রথম রথযাত্রা হয় ১৩৯৬ সালে। শ্রী চৈতন্য নাম রেখেছিলেন নব নীলাচল। মাহেশের রথযাত্রায় ভিড় জমান লক্ষ লক্ষ ভক্ত।
Mahesh Rath Yatra is nearly 627 years old. Mahesh Jagannath Mandir, second oldest Jagannath Temple after Puri Jagannath Mandir, in the world is situated at Serampore Mahesh Hooghly, West Bengal. Mahesh Jagannath Temple was found by a saint Dhrubanand. First Mahesh Rath Yatra was organised in 1396. Prabhu Sri Chaitanya Dev named this place 'Naba Nilachal'. First, Mahesh Rath was made of wood. Later, an iron made Rath was introduced. Thousands of pilgrims gather during Mahesh Rath Yatra festival. In this video, I am telling you Mahesh Jagannath Temple History and Mahesh Rath Yatra history. I also describe the Rath Yatra process elaborately.
