Aw man I love this type of fusion so much. Larnell and Jordan on the track is crazy lol. Fellow keyboard player question: How do you improve your soloing? Is the best way simply to transcribe? And also, how long have you been playing keyboard/piano for? I strive to reach your level some day!
Thank you ! To be honest, transcribing solos is not something I ever did on my own... I would say that learning and mastering scales and modes and being able to improvise freely in them is really usefull...but really the most important is to be expressive, play what you hear, and play as if you need to breath in between phrases. Simulating guitar players is cool too ;) (pitch bending and vibrato with the pitch bend !) I've been playing for over 30 years now :) Thanks for the questions and have fun with your soloing !
Thanks ! I setup my keyboard that way mostly because it looks cool haha ! But I find it more comfortable to play while standing up too :) The angle of the wrists is about the same as if I was playing sitted. I got that from Jens Johansson by the way ;)

wow, those cymbals were very dirty and muddy was that Zildjian or maybe that was how they were mic-ed up. I have to say that cymbal to the left of Larnell looks like someone shot it several times with a shotgun then put it on the boom stand. Amazing speed in this music is mind blowing! Curious about the cymbals... Amazing Larnell as usual and all the musicians in this video! Such wonderful composition and the musicians compliment their sound just perfect and very harmonic together!

Sounds amazing. Drums a little too compressed for my taste (maybe too fast attack and not enough popping through but it's very slight, not bad). But otherwise sounds incredible. Great energy in everyone.
