Earning a living versus trying to be ruthlessly financially independent

Don't lose your humanity while trying to make a living..You still have to live in other aspects of llife.Trying to be ruthlessly "financially independent" produces cruel way of thinking. And if you become hooked to this, ask yourself what kind of a disposition you have. With that disposition, can you pray to Allah, have family relations and have friendships? You are thinking "I can just give some charity and things will be changed".. No, you don't have the attitude of being charitable or generous to begin with.
For Muslims, the best way to get blessed wealth( or rizq) is to offer people something that can change their lives or something that make them better Muslims and have hope in Allah's generosity ONLY. This is difficult because it requires a very caring heart. Giving people something is easy but to have a caring attitude is not easy. Allah judges your intention, not the output.
One good charitable act done with a sincere attitude can bring life time prosperity through ways you can't imagine. That's how Allah's compassion and generosity works.
If you depend exclusively on your skills and pinning all your hopes on your efforts to bring you an earning,you will be living a restless life
May Allah bless you Aisha we are here for Allah and InshaAllah we will be in jannah too.

I have been listening to YC videos from some time. I wanted to meet the organizers and wanted to participate in the gatherings. I was thinking about it when last week I suffered a great tragedy of my father's sudden demise. The pain is unbearable and excruciating but we accept it because it is the will of Allah. May Allah grant my father Jannat-ul-Firdous and make his grave a garden of heaven. Aameen Summa Aameen.

7. Punishment and trials of the day of Judgment
8. Good deeds gifted by the loved ones( Dua, reciting Quran, Hajj, Umra Sadaqa etc)
9. Intercession of our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) on the day of Judgment
