Johnny understanding the importance of getting to know someone before sticking a camera in their face is one of the many reasons i like this dude a lot. Thanks for all you work!
Keiji seems like such a great guy, and I could tell from watching him skate how much he's interested in learning new stuff and really understanding how a trick works. That session seemed like so much fun, too! It's awesome to have others around you get so hyped up for so much, even for stuff that we've seen Jonny do nearly every time he picks up a skateboard.😂 Another awesome Japan vid, Jonny, it really makes me want to travel there even more! And you're right, too; the scenery around you really makes it. I love all the trees and mountains!
I love how you are the same embodiment of this guy. Amazing at skating, kind and thoughtful, and humble about it. I aspire to be like you , good sir. Thanks for all you do Jonny!
as someone who fights with my own nerves and anxiety it's really cool to see you overcome those obstacles that allow you to follow your passion. Thx for sharing
I was an exchange student early 2000’s in Okinawa, hitting all the parks I could find near my host family. Changed my life. So awesome to see and can’t wait for more footage
Danke dass du all die Insights und Eerlebnisse mit uns teilst. Das ist wirklich ein Traum. UNd ein mega Lob für dein Japanisch. Ist ja echt der Hammer.
you must have been topping the ranks at Duo Lingo Jonny, you were killing it with your japanese skills! I've seen you skate, play piano, speak japanese... as with lots of us you've got the try-fail-learn-repeat bug too
Jonny, i used to skate as well, and your videos captures so much of what great people are into skateboarding. It makes me smile every time, and humbling to see you enjoy such great camaraderie. If someone is not wanting to teach others, no matter what skill, they are not a real skateboarder imo
Re-watching this video and absolutely loving the session you guys are having at the start. It looked like so much fun. So many mellow, creative tricks that I want to learn. As always, the filming, vibe and skating is on point. :)
The way you said skate sho was right! Shimashyo is just using keigo (honorific form) but it sounded very natural. And for shyo in particular japanese tend to really enunciate the shio so dont worry it doesn sound like salt hahahaa. スケートをしょう!They also say suberou which Suberu means slide technically but its what they call skating so youd say suberou! like lets skate!. 滑ろう!
12.26 that hardflip had more style than Frank Sinatra in his prime, I can't even comprehend how perfect his feet moving around the board looked. So close to his feet, yet perfect control. Catching it on the way up like that was beautiful.
idk if im just imagining things but Luiz style of execution is more like Luan Oliveira. and the huge pop man and Luiz is just so chill about it. and Johnny please do Merlin twist 2023 trick tips love you man❣️ skate safe
Living vicariously through you, man! Japan is such a beautiful culture and country. Also, hanging with Jason must be such a fun time. Dude rips! Thanks for all the time you put into your vids. You rock.
Keiji's trick tips are so awesome. I've been watching them for a while and they definitely help. I haven't seen any other trick tips as good as his, honestly. So cool that you met up with him!
Jonny, this video really inspired me today, and i went out to skate with a friend and had the best time and got some clips. I love skateboarding. thank you for the content!
Loved this, awesome that you got to experience that and am very interested in seeing some more footage from the trip. I am also a big Japanese culture fan on multiple fronts so that makes these extra special and enjoyable to check.
日本語のtipがありますよ!I love you videos, been watching for years. I have also been studying Japanese for a long time. If I could give you tip sir. When ever speaking to something especially after meeting there for the first time, I would suggest not using あなた because it can be considered very rude (I know this because I made the same mistake). Instead when wanting to address someone you just say there name (けいじさん). It’s confusing because in English we use “you” always but you don’t want to use the literally translation of “you” in Japanese. 👌🏻👌🏻 Your videos are great and your personality is so humble. Please never stop! 🎉🎉
Unrelated to this video, just wanted to say thanks for the amazing videos!! I haven’t skateboarded in about 18 years and you’ve been a huge inspiration to pick the board back up. So far I’ve very sloppily landed a kickflip and an exceptionally sloppy heel flip 😂. Cheers dude! Keep up the great content
Incredible!! Where is this planet??? Big thanks to your new friends, I have realy take pleasure to watch them. And big thanks to you, your sessions in Japan are so pleasant... Good work! 🎌👍
Es isch Unglaublich wie mer mit Skate so en unglaubliche und einzigartige Vibe chan kreiere Ich verehre Dini Videos für das unglaublich schöne bild vom Skate... Big Love!!!!
2:17 shiyou is just informal shimashou. So I'd say you're good here. Shiyo (salt) also has emphasis on the 'shi' iirc, and you put emphasis on the 'ou' putting it more towards shiyou than shiyo :)
Seeing Nana at the table with you guys surprised me. If I was sitting at the table my heart would be doki-doki-ing so hard. I'm sorry Jason for coveting your wife! She is just too pretty!!!
One day the emperor is going to introduce Jonny to his prettiest granddaughter and he's not flying back... The emperor says "I'm glad she's good enough to convince you to stay this time" And Jonny replies "I came on a single trip ticket, but I'm definitely marrying that princess"
Actually, ''Chotto sukeeto shiyou'' is totally fine. ''shio'' definitely means salt, but in spoken japanese ''shiyou''(lets do) and ''shio'' sounds almost identical, so no worries. You have a very nice Japanese pronunciation.
Ok small detail but I think what you said was correct. "スケートしよう” would be a friendly way to say "let's go skate" which would sound essentially the same as "スケートしお" (skate salt). And then the しましょう was a confirmative "yeah let's skate".
Japan and Switzerland are the only two countries that have ever given me the urge to travel. Beautiful in so many ways
Bro u never been to Portugal
Jamaica is beautiful as well and Cozumel
Hey me too
Come to Spain bro it's beautiful over here lmfao.
ultimate secret: everywhere is beautiful; there is beauty everywhere.
so endgame wasn't the most ambitious crossover...
HELL NO

Whaaaat! jonny speaks Japanese. That’s so dope. I get more and more impressed every freaking day with this man
Yep, skate salt! 🧂😁
Only joking. I couldn't speak a word, fair play Jonny 🙏
He also plays guitar and piano.
Jonny and Jason are two of my favourite skaters of all time 😊♥️
Basic Japanese. Like what a 5 year old would be able to say. He's doing good, but has a LONG ways to go.
@@watchmesquatchr u white bro

The vibes are impeccable! Thanks for the introduction to Keiji! Cool to see you and Luis ripping too -and Jason! All my favs in one place 💕💕
Luis genuinely has one of the best hard flips on skating. Such good vibes in this one, Keichi and his good have such a good bag of tricks.
never failed to bring positive vibes, love you Jonny!!!!
Luis and Johnny finally crossed paths. Love em both. Already subscribed to their channel years ago.
Thx for sharing
shiyou is the casual way of saying shimashou jonny!! youre killing it
That flatground session with luis makes me want to go practice all day
I was an exchange student early 2000’s in Okinawa, hitting all the parks I could find near my host family.
Changed my life.
So awesome to see and can’t wait for more footage

Such gratitude and humility is really endearing ❤ you're a great guy Johnny and great example to the next generation👍👏

wow, this video is a masterpiece! moras style is impecable! is something different
I never expected this crossover but I am here for it.
Watching all you guys eat soba together was so heartwarming. I follow everyone at the table lol
grew up skating w Luis as a kid in Gville. was one of my brothers best friends in high school
that's one of the most fun videos I've watched in a long time! Seems like you had a geat trip
12.26 that hardflip had more style than Frank Sinatra in his prime, I can't even comprehend how perfect his feet moving around the board looked. So close to his feet, yet perfect control. Catching it on the way up like that was beautiful.
8:11 is the most authentic Japanese moment you could’ve caught
I find it really funny and humble that you an amazing skater was nervous to even try to meet luis and the crew
Jonny X Luis, great collab!
3:59 was wild dude.. ive never skated. i used to BMX but your videos are soo chill and wild
idk if im just imagining things but Luiz style of execution is more like Luan Oliveira. and the huge pop man and Luiz is just so chill about it. and Johnny please do Merlin twist 2023 trick tips love you man❣️ skate safe

amazing cameo from the hawaian skater with the model wife
Yo this video was so good bro. Keep up the great work.
Street and parks are so clean and no one try to steal your camera, they are very lucky.
Keiji's trick tips are so awesome. I've been watching them for a while and they definitely help. I haven't seen any other trick tips as good as his, honestly. So cool that you met up with him!
Is he on TH-cam
@@ChronicSkater I’m not actually sure. I’ve only seen the videos he posts on Instagram. 🤔
Jonny, this video really inspired me today, and i went out to skate with a friend and had the best time and got some clips. I love skateboarding. thank you for the content!
lol people in asia seem to have more fun skateboarding than out here. they just seem happier about life in general. that is so great to see.
Wild Jason Park jumps out of nowhere?!
Thanks for sharing this mans amazing gift and teachings.
great vibes jonny
I LOVED this video!! Beautiful human beings indeed. I look forward to much more footy from this trip!
Loved this, awesome that you got to experience that and am very interested in seeing some more footage from the trip. I am also a big Japanese culture fan on multiple fronts so that makes these extra special and enjoyable to check.
Japanese is difficult, respect for learning the language too. I've been to tokyo and I regret not learning japanese beforehand. Wonderful video!
this was so great to watch!
Jonny, du bist der 'bomb'. Vielen dank für alles. Forever an inspiration.
Your skills are legendary in the skate community Jonny Giger 😊🙏♥️
Johnny finally came to Japan😍

Livin' the life, Jonny! Great job!
BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
Actually, "Suketo shiou" (スケートをしょう) is correct, it's just informal. Nailed it first try, Jonny.
luis got me into skating
Fantastic episode My Good Man 🙏🔥🙌

Как же приятно смотреть видео Джоника. Просто кайф.
Always a good and positive video. 👍
2:08 You were actually right! shiyo is just the informal form of shimashyo :)
tho shio is salt lol
I think Johny needs an axle bolt sponsor to hold up the water and tear on the bolts when doing the primo slide
Hey Jonny! Du kannst ziemlich gut japanisch sprechen 🗣️! Bin voll imponiert
2:17 shiyou is just informal shimashou. So I'd say you're good here. Shiyo (salt) also has emphasis on the 'shi' iirc, and you put emphasis on the 'ou' putting it more towards shiyou than shiyo :)
Bro's getting tooo good
I've always loved Japanese culture, and those samurais can churn out great skateboarding.
Nice vid,thanx!
Awesome videos brah ❤
Seit wann bist du verheiratet?

The emperor says "I'm glad she's good enough to convince you to stay this time"

Skateboarding salt!🎉
I feel like I would hop out goofy footed and first try a kickflip and watch it spin like 15x before I landed. lol
The wheels.
About a seven foot kickflip.. hahahaha(could be wrong/speed factors plus abec 7 ball bearings. . .)
Yo can I get some tips
Actually, ''Chotto sukeeto shiyou'' is totally fine. ''shio'' definitely means salt, but in spoken japanese ''shiyou''(lets do) and ''shio'' sounds almost identical, so no worries.
You have a very nice Japanese pronunciation.
By the way im Japanese and love your content🔥
12:25 hardflip:)
IS THIS ADAM LZ ???
this is big
Is it Animal Chin?
