The song was originally released on Sigh’s visionary album ‘Scorn Defeat’ and the clip here is a new performance captured recently in Japan
The track details the story of a Japanese goddess ‘Dakini’ that rides on a white fox, according to Buddhist religion. Kujaku-Ou is a Japanese manga published around 1988 - 1991 and in it featured a lot of oriental occultism and were often the inspiration behind Sigh’s early material. Originally Dakiki is a goddess from India that would eat human flesh, however in Japan she is considered to be the goddess of sexual lust.
Mirai Kawashima: 'A Victory of Dakini" is the opening track of our debut album "Scorn Defeat". I believe the first track of the first album is something special for most bands, and this is true to our case, too. Of course the song is way more primitive and simpler than what we are doing today, but obviously it's got a magic feeling, which we will never ever recapture. "Dakini" is a goddess riding on a white fox in Buddhism. I wrote this song inspired by a Japanese manga, "Kujaku-ou".

More "Divine Intervention" on this, but, with less talent, sorry. I'm not intended to smallen Sigh's effort, but the things are as it seems to be has been put on agreement for now: modern metal inclinations for teenagers is the main course. Waiting for the next step of evolution.

@@vishnu2407 ..I wanted to say not about that actual song, but the style of performance, in general. The band, of course, sees their legacy and understands it better than somebody else could. But, as from listener's point, it looks like this direction. I do see their change of perception, and their mindset towards the old works. Maybe I said some edgy words, trying to express what I feel about it. Just for the comment's sake. We need some discussion, you know.. -To help the views of this video. And when bands trying to emulate Slayer's technique, it sounds rather good, by all means.
@@williamcheek2778 Right, I knew about it. On Peaceville channel was the interview with Mirai talking about the times before release. And Euronymous answer concerning the release of debut Sigh. Pretty interesting, for those who still want to create not emulate. Euronymous got strong sides, and this can bring something constructive to the mind, despite all the critic upon his person's memory.
