Tama po kayu sir, kulang ng support sa gobyerno natin ang mga small farmers, isa po akong ofw at balak na mag-alaga ng mga ruminants na hayup, kaso nakakatakot kasi kulang ang supports ng goberno laging nasa isip paano pag hindi successful? Kaya ang daming mga tanung. Sana po isa po kayo sa mga bobo-o ng mga samahan sa pagbanaka.

Always dreamed of owning a cow farm for beef and dairy since I love both, would look into it more but I don't know if I'll be able to manage it since I'm entering the maritime industry.

We can't rely sa Philippine Government. Tatanda na lang tayo wala pang improvement sa cattle industry. Matagal na na panahon konti lang vomiventure kasi limited lang land area natin. Converted pa to commercial or tinataniman ng high value crops kesa sa mga damo. It is more economical to buy import beef. Sad but true. Im optimistic sa beef production ng pinas. But to address it we need to address corruption first.

Large scale cattle raising in phil is a big no no... san ka kukuha ipapakain mga yan? Kaya nagiging disyerto ang africa is because of over grazing...
The third crop cycle of our farmers is 100 days enough to plant corn for Silage to be harvested 75-80 days. It will give our farmers 3 croppings a year and extra income. Also feed source for Cattle Farmers. A hectare of Corn can harvest 30 to 40t of Silage maybe more if taken care properly.
@@KabakangArnel that harvest on 75-80 days is on paper only.. large part of phil is already way below normal rain, corn planted by farmers is already dried due to extreme heat if not didnt grow at all!
We are currently experiencing El Nino at the moment. 1 hectare of forage plantations can sustain minimum of 20 cattle whole year round. If we dont consider the option on cattle farming whats our option chicken (bird flu), hog (asf) or just import?
