Finally some commentary about Itzy where some actual thought is put into it. The hate is real. There's so many angles people have used against them whether it be "they need a refreshing sound", "They should follow the trend" to "I want the old itzy sound back" and "lalala, cake cake cake, repeated chorus is boring" but yet other groups seem to get a pass. They've even gotten criticism about the "lack" of challenging choreography which is pretty crazy. They've literally dived into all aspect of things but there seems to be a never ending criticism. The girls have been improving so much over the years (Albums have gotten better and better to the point people praise a lot of their B side tracks than title tracks). Lia has been absent in this comeback and they have their RAPPING lines and lead vocalist to legit cover for her. That's pretty damn impressive if you asked me. They've even gotten some creative flexibility in writing their own solo songs this album. They released a total of 7 MV's for this comeback. They've even gone on the record to say that the choreo in this comeback was hard. With all of this in mind, they're still catching heat over which "title track" should've been used.
5:47 you know their situation about the UNREASONABLE ITZY hate train, that's probably the reference for this song. "I'm unbreakable, I'm doing what I am good at, no matter what you say, I'll be doing whatever I want." 😢
People have basically been just screaming at itzy in regards to them trying different genres/concepts both musically and choreo wise for a WHILE now. Even in alot of reactions to this mv you will get people saying "old itzy is back", "Finally this is what we wanted," and just a lot of rude backhanded comments but when other groups try different songs, different concepts, they have nowhere near as much pushback as itzy is getting. I just think people just don't want them straying away from the "girl crush" concept.
