This is so timely for me! I’m also 60 this year and my husband wants to renew our vows probably next year. I’ve been going back and forth wondering if I’d look ridiculous in a “proper” gown but you’ve totally won me over. Unfortunately I’m in Northamptonshire but maybe a trip to Essex is on the cards 😉. I thought the 2nd plain satin one was absolutely gorgeous with the pearl veil....stunning for a more mature lady. I feel as an almost 60 year old, that classic elegance is key to looking groomed....personally for me, it would be hair up and pearl stud earrings and slim pearl collar necklace, but that is just my taste, I love paired back elegance and a sleeve of some description on brides in general x

I tripped over your video and turned it on instantly when I saw your heading. I'm a relatively new widow (7+months) and no I'm not a crazy woman who wants to remarry my late husband in the cemetery. Having been with my Alex for 38 years (he was 16 years older than I was), I thought through much of our life together that if he died before me, I'd never wed again. I think it was a sentiment that he enjoyed hearing because I was only 29 and he was 45 when we got together, and there were times he felt a bit insecure about the difference in ages. It never bothered me because he was the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate, my lover, and the one person I could be with 24/7 and never be bored. After he passed, I continued to think I'd be alone forever. However, things weren't quite what I'd expected. I assume that by the time this all happened, I'd have changed from a high maintenance glamour girl (and Alex liked me just that way, although he was content if I had no makeup and jeans on too) to an elderly woman with grey hair and sneakers on my feet. Why I thought that I'll never know. I was 67 when he passed (68 now) and due to incredible genetics on both sides of the family, I look around 40+ (depends on how good I'm feeling that day). The only plastic surgery was a nose job tacked on to sinus surgery. When I was 35 my dermatologist told me (when I asked when I'd need a facelift) that when I hit my mid 60's I might want my eyes done but due to good bone structure, I probably wouldn't need a facelift. I have worked for years on keeping my skin in line; no sun, sunscreen, a great skincare regime, and religious use of Retin A. So after 6 months passed, I realized that remarriage was not only a possibility but something I really needed if I found the right man. I never had a real wedding (2 husbands, but #1 didn't really count) and if I do remarry, a lovely wedding dress would be so romantic and lovely. The only problem I foresaw emerging was that I'm a very devoted Christian Bible student as half the guests there would be, and all the gowns I've seen were quite plunging as well as strapless. I would want to feel feminine, as well as romantic but I'm quite busty and the last thing I want is my breasts falling out of my dress. Your gowns are not all covered up but some are and show me that I might even be able to wear strapless if it was cut high enough. Your video made me feel so hopeful that I could be a "real bride" without having to resort to a discreet suit or knee-length dress. I am so grateful to you for creating this video; it is flattering and encouraging to those of us over 50 or 60 or older. Final thought: I hope no one thought I was bragging when I gave my true age but also my believed age. I'm not criticizing any woman who prefers natural grey hair and a no makeup look; it just isn't the real me. I do have silver hair at the hairline and sprinkled on top (another inherited family trait), I just feel better when the hair is tinted it's very dark brown. I've noticed when I'm around the house in no makeup, jeans, and a ponytail, I just don't feel as happy. Even a bit of makeup with clean hair and a colorful tee embellishing my jeans is great. So thanks for the video, the thoughts on the subject, and the encouragement to all women, no matter their style or needs. I'll give you comment again if I find that man and marry him.

And remember that the décolletage area can usually be made more modest very easily, so I’m sure that if you do find that new man, you’ll find a perfect dress too
Bless you. I was 20 when I married. Widowed just before our Ruby anniversary. In my sixties met and married a widower and yes, I did wear a wedding dress. My grandchildren were my bridesmaid and page boy and my best friend, whom I've known since we were 15 gave me away.

I turned 60 the end of may happy birthday to all of us 1962 babies. Loved the dresses and all my ladies age has nothing to do with your wedding dress. Your all beautiful.
I bet you have to convince people of your age! My goodness, I never would have guessed you were over 45! And you have nothing to hide! Your figure is stunning! Next year will be our 50th, I'll be 67, he'll be 70 and I would love to renew our vows. Kind of like the whole shabang! I know it's probably to much info, but... we are still quite intimate with each other ❤ 😍 💖 ...

The last gown would look gorgeous with a bedazzled high-neck, 3/4 sleeve lace sort of dickie over the gown………if that makes any sense…… I would wear it with a length just below “the girls” 😀 to class it up for church
Or-in colder weather some bling on a faux fur or velvety short type of over jacket with stand up collar and add white gloves for real glam ❤️

2 definitely! 3, possibly but without the cape. 1, 4, and 5 ate a no. 5, if it wasn't so full at the bottom maybe.

Great dresses! Mine was long with a tiny train, peach and lace all over. This was my second marriage so it was perfect!

I was widowed at 58. Met a widower aged 60. Married two years later. Struggled with finding THE dress. Everything I looked at made me look Mother of the Bride. Been there, done that. Didn't want to buy a dress a guest could turn up in. Make-up artist I hired suggested a local bridal shop. Plucked up courage and went in. Bought a beautiful vintage style wedding dress and, no, I didn't look mutton dressed as lamb. Instead of a veil I bought a shawl to compliment it as the wedding was in November.

Maybe we’ll renew our vows on our fiftieth. I want a sleek two piece silk suit with a long skirt and beautiful jacket in ecru. For a vow renewal, I would really like it!
I'm 50 and the 2nd gown looked elegant and regal. I would add a little bling with a belt tie around the waste.

If we renew our vows I will definitely be looking for something with a modest neckline front and back, not see through aside from sleeves, possibly the yoke area depending on how it's made, no slit up to the thigh, not too tight, not too short . I am Apostolic Pentecostal so I dress conservatively and the above are definite no go's for me. While it would be nice to have a long dress, maybe in ivory, I will probably go with a nice dressy tea/midi or at most maxi length that I can wear again for church.

Nice dresses, i am 65+ & dont like cleavage showing. My 2 favourites were the 1st and 3rd one shown, however if i were to purchase the 1st one, would perfer neckline a little lower, dont like turtle neck type attire. Dresses were all beautiful

Wonderful! Perhaps J am a bit invidious. All those wedding's suits are beautiful. Not eccessive, romantic, delicious, nice and pretty dresses. Every moment is good for a wedding J think. Not for me, but for you. J am a zitela, but people tell me they never say zitella, thay say single. Single is more polite and kind.
I think when a woman is older than her years yes she should have a beautiful gown yes but I don't think she should wear white because God knows we know that she's not a virgin I think beautiful beige creams ivories I think those are the wonderful colors for a bride of age. But for the design of the dress go all out make a statement.
It might be rare, but a woman can be 100 years old, and still be a virgin. You can't judge someone just because they are older.

The dresses would be perfect without the train. Don't really think that trains are appropriate for older brides.

How about more of a fashion show instead of all the chat? Walk.....move, walk out, stand for a second showing us the front, show us the back and on to the next, and next. Show us styles. I think I saw 4? in 11 minutes.
