- In the dark of the earth, in their pupal chamber, that is where they are born after a long life as larva in rotten leaves and debris of trees and wood. I always wonder what they feel, if they realise that they have wings inside a ball of dirt ! With our kind of "believe" we would die instantenously. Don't we ?

Diese Blauen M. torquata ugandensis hab ich auch. Ich finde besonders diese verschiedenen Farb-typen innerhalb dieser art toll!! Mal sind sie blau dann wieder mehr Grün oder sogar fast Schwarz. Man weis nie welche Farbe der Käfer hat bevor er schlüpft
Meiner war grün, ist aber leider beim schlüpfen gestorben.
