Even though it is a happy ending... I truly despise this trope where the gay main character cannot fight back... It is very tiring 😫 to be honest. As a bi man I definitely took no shit from no one! Having a black belt in Jujitsu helps too! 😂😂😂

This treatment at the beginning of this story was 100% common 50 years ago when I was in Jr to Sr high. It really didn’t matter if it was public or private school. I knew I could have been a victim but it was physically obvious I was treated far worse at home. I wore bruises and welts like fashion accessories until I ran at 15.
    But this isn’t about me.
Cruelty and worse were served like menu items from the school cafeteria. I never understood how school staff and admin had blind eyes and they failed to address the constant bullying and assault some students endured. I tried talking to school counselors but they didn’t do anything. In so many cases, bullied kids disappeared and I questioned if parents intervened or the kids committed suicide. A half century ago and it’s still hard for me to read or hear stories like this.
I read to escape, and for me, my choices were clear. I could go out on my father’s terms and die, give up and kill myself, or run. Having read a book called Logan’s Run a few times (it doesn’t have violence to kids), I chose to live so I ran away. Today’s kids have another choice and to many take it. Some kids get a gun and decide to use it at school. We hear the murderer walked around looking for targets. To me, that sounds like someone being bullied. They feel dead inside and decide to take their abusers with them. In a few cases, classmate survivors talk about how they ostracized the shooter, and how they made the shooters life a living hell while at school and with the internet now, after school hours. These school shooters become real heroes to other kids suffering from abuse. Personally, school shooting is what those kids did, it’s not their identity. Those kids become murderers - murderer is their identity. Inside, many of them are lonely, lost, and then they die. None of that is justification for their actions though. And, I believe almost every school shooting could have been prevented by adults in their lives. Parents, teachers, administrators and school boards can prevent the conditions that breed children to commit murder or commit suicide.
Please, don’t accept or turn a blind eye to the conditions some children face every day.

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with this kind of relationship because both Markus and Lean are not related by blood. The father of Lean and the mother of Markus married each other when Markus and Lean were 16. Markus and Lean are not related to each other at all until their parent decided to get married.

I was touched by this story. But I also felt a tinge of make-believe. Markus and Lean went through alot in keeping their relationship a secret from their parents and the rest of the world. But finding Klare to go along with this charade, I found hard to believe. Is it possible, yes; but I think highly unlikely. All in all I found this story tugging a little at my heart ♥ strings.

Far too many individuals fail to remember that the pathway is 'filled with ruts and potholes'. The reality is that those very ' ruts and potholes' are the learning lessons of Life. Some may feel strong, while others often 'believe' that the obstacles of Life feel 'like a wall that can't be breeched . . . . .
Learning the lessons of the Pathway create the Life Lessons that take us to the next dimension of living Life to the fullest!

Incest taboo is totally ridiculous even between biological brothers, as they aren't able to make handicapped children.
When your father and your spouse's mother are widowed or divorced and fall in love with each other, would you separate from your partner? As soon as they marry, you are technically step siblings.

This is one of the worst-written ones. There's only so much you can do within 30-minutes of storytelling, but the rush towards the last 10 minutes or so just to tie a pretty little bow with all the loose ends on this story just emphasizes how implausible everything is.
