Music like any art is up for interpertation, still a great reaction. Huge respect that you wanna keep it real and just be you. Great story telling btw!
someone like Propf is a real artist. his words are not just gonna be literal. they’re artistic and have meaning behind it you have to think critically about what and why and how he’s saying it
I feel like it's really important, if you're going to understand who Prof is as a person, and how he was shaped by his childhood, to listen to Myself & Flower Boy. He actually is in therapy & doesn't endorse gang lifestyles. I've Smoked Crack Before will give you a solid handle on the heavy-handed sarcasm in his more light-hearted songs.
Thank you for touching on people getting mad blowing up all the time because I feel like they can't talk to anyone anyway no one understands them, if we communicate we will understand each other❤ Just listen to bit more and that's really crazy that you're this calm cool collected and rational when you grew up with that kind of a family vibe. RESPECT to you 🎉
Tough boy is written ironically at least the course is. I like how PROFs lyrics flirt with the line. It’s unfortunate if the lyrics are seen differently than they are meant. The song itself is therapy.
He explaining how he was raised not really promoting it, but how his dad thought he needed to raise his kid and he was traumatized by it if you heard his other darker songs like Flower Boy hes got issues
Yeah I’m not gone lie bro i definitely am starting think I’m literally fr missing the over all point of this man’s music and I’m actually not even trying too
@@TheDonDannLove that you’re humble and curious enough to take a deeper look and consider another perspective. This was definitely his way of speaking on how his father basically whupped him into believing he had to be a ‘tough boy’. His dad also literally burnt their family house down… which messed him up good. That’s why he can’t ’love no one’ and is broken… but for real he’s working it out in his art (and therapy)
I agree with you 100% about not glorifying that in the culture. In this song I don't think Prof does glorify it, I think the tone of the lyrics is critical of the parenting, but also does, yes, glorify it in a way too. Maybe "own it" and turn it into a source of pride. You could maybe argue that is the point of all the "tough guy" stuff in the culture, trying to flip trama into something to be proud of. And, even if a song attempts to criticize it or take a sarcastic tone, are people paying enough attention to the nuance to accept the critique, or does it just become more glorifying? I don't disagree with what you said on this.
my first memory was watching my building get raided and watching ppl load up in the paddy wagon. Yo i had to edit after the song finished. i feel like dude is clowning the current thoughts of what a "tough boy " is. i dont think hes pushing it on the culture i think hes sayin hes tired of hearing thats what makes us tough
Also idk if anyone pointed this out, but he is speaking from experience, so that line he says about his dad eventually burning down their house, hes gone in on that in interviews. His dad had some brealdown and torched they house, he even went as far to say he lost most records of earliest memories, pictures and so forth, due to that.
Check out his Big Hungry Monster live performance video next. Then after that watch about 30 more of his videos. He puts real work, and real emotions in his music. I've been talkin' this guy up for over 6 years cuz he just keeps getting better.
@TheDonDann You had a little case of tunnel vision with your initial reaction. The good part is coming to a conclusion that you might of missed something, it's that kind of humbleness and humility that will keep your channel improving at a fast rate. Keep on grinding Kiddo ✌️🎙🤟
Do your reactions the way that you want, people will gravitate towards the authenticity. I prefer that you stop and speak when you have a thought, because unless you're some type of genius, you won't remember every thought you had by the end, just make sure to rewind a few seconds every time you pause so you don't miss something, but like I said, my opinion shouldn't affect how you choose to do this, do you man! And it believ that Prof is on the same page as you, what i take away from the song is that he's not necessarily proud of how he was raised and being a "Tough Boy" is necessarily a good thing, it's just how he was raised and what it turned him into, and raising your kids that way is a sure fire way to force them into the life style.
Na hell nawl you good I ain’t think you was rude at all I said Jesus Christ cause I actually thought I did good wit this reaction and I’m learning through you and others I fumbled on this one too and I like literally didn’t catch this one right at all. I really didn’t get that he was describing his upbringing
I like your reactions. I got into Prof not long ago. I think he's pretty amazing. Love watching others go down the same rabbit hole i did. Don't worry so much about the algorithm. Stop and say your opinion when you want to. It's your natural reaction. Start the song over if you want to. Be honest. Be wrong. That's ok. It's art. Did i think the Mona Lisa was smiling first time i saw it? No... Lol.
This song by Prof brings up a lot of stuff about his own upbringing and these songs are therapy for everyone! I love how Profs music makes you think❤
He isn’t promoting it. He is speaking to what his dad taught him and what he went through as a kid growing up. It has a sarcastic undertone.

He doesn’t agree with that, he’s talking about his upbringing not now love
Homey... He's being sarcastic
Prof IS telling you what he went thru
I think you almost had it! ✌️🎙🤟
No do not watch others, I love you because you are you!!! No that’s why Prof is successful he does his thing!

@@Michele_Ferguson bro…. I’m not missing the point I’m giving my opinion based on what he said Jesus Christ yall keep saying that lmao 😂💀
He's not pushing anything he's telling you what was pushed onto him at a young age. He's just speaking his truth.
@@Michele_FergusonJesus Christ I’m not gone lie I think these songs really are going over head in the most embarrassing way possible
