@@PsychedelicMakai Dude normal heavy metal never disappeared, it just moved to the underground. Sumerlands, Visigoth, Eternal Champion, Megaton Sword... (All these bands formed around or after 2010s). Look up a channel named New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal, it's got a lot of that stuff.

I can totally imagine totally imagine Grant on bass, Alucard in the back doing drums, Sypha playing the keyboard, and Trevor rocking out on lead guitar.
I remember downloading an mp3 of "Castlevania metal cover" in the early 2000's and it was this song and it blew me away. Then a decade later I discover that its from a full album that even had the original composer involved in production. I'm yet to hear a better rendition of most of the songs on the album and I listen to a LOT of VGM covers
I remember there was one theme in particular that had a wolf howl at the end of it. I wish I remembered the name of it but I do know that it is a castlevania theme. BTW I really appreciate the upload of both volumes of this music, one of the themes on this volume was in a castlevania game I played online many years ago, probably early to middle of the 2010s, those were better days and I've had so many good times with this kinda music. Brings a tear to the eye... What can I say, this music brings out me inner werewolf!^-,=,-^(HOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWL!)
Ironically - my two favorite solos on this album both open with BASICALLY the same guitar lick (different key/notes but the pattern is the same). Check out Cross A Fear (2:30). Just makes me laugh cause it's like... you got a guitar riff so good ya can't stop busting it out.
@@lordfriedrick7911 The aptly named "Zombie Horde" mod via Doom Zandronum :) Was quite populated 2011 - 2016, truly was a grand time! It still technically exists, waiting for the player count to rise again.
@@RavingRaptor Oh boooy I was there in 2011 when it was still in beta and XSnake was still around, he was such a nice guy to chat with and ZH was a lot of fun back then. I clearly remember the first time I played this map. The music got me so pumped every time that it gave me goosebumps and made me take on an ungodly amount of Zombies in the rooms with the gemstones. It's a great map, with a great layout, and epic music. The only other map that I've ever loved so much was ZM06 Hell's Pass Hospital, with its eerie atmosphere and the Uboa/disco mode easter eggs. Sometimes I miss that mod. Hell, I miss Zan in general but nowadays it's just so dead and everyone is playing that overrated Megaman mod. Things were more lively and fresh in the 2007-2009 Skulltag era IMO.

Hell's Pass Hospital I still know like the back of hand heh. Those were some great times man.
It's funny to see how many peiple still think this is Iron Maiden for some ungodly reason. I think maybe it was titled as Iron Maiden on the limewite/frostwire p2p programs way back in the day
