I’m a property claims adjuster. If you have Renter’s insurance, your policy should cover food loss. I am an adjuster for USAA and we cover food loss for power outage with no deductible (for most states). Many people in the hurricane have taken advantage of it😊
This is true, unfortunately a deductible does apply and my deductible is $500 then you submit your claim for what you lost. I did not have much more than $100 worth of food in my refrigerator, so obviously I did not file a claim. Insurance definitely helps, but you have to lose pretty big to see any type of a payoff.
@@brandyyolidio4213 I’m sorry. I’m not sure who your insurance company is. Of course policies can differ. Our homeowner’s and renter’s policies cover up to $500 with no deductible applied (except NC which is $100 ded). I have processed SEVERAL in TX since the hurricane. I’ve never seen a policy that charges anything over $100 for that coverage. Most people don’t have more than $500 in their fridge. I’m sorry your insurance company applies the deductible. I’ve never seen that in 20 years.
Just me over here hitting the like button, downloading the video, so my girl gets extra coins, and recommending you to a friend. I love you so much. I love how you are so funny without trying, so humble, and relateable as f.
Girl I completely understand the whole hurricane mess. I live in south Louisiana and when hurricane Ida hit, it was crazzyyy. We had to go to Mississippi just to get gas, and thank God we had a generator bc our house was one of the last 300 homes in Louisiana to get power back so we were out of power for over a month😫 and had to drive 30mins just to get cell service!!! It’s the worst, definitely praying for all the girls in Houston🫶🏻
I’m from Houston and that’s where my fam is, they JUST got power back and my sister is 9 months pregnant. She due on Friday and her doc office STILL has no power. Thank god it wasn’t worse damage and that her husband bought a small generator not too long ago so they had fans and fridge so no one lost their food. My other family took their food over there too which was a blessing. Stay safe girl and I hope you find ice and all the things soon!
Glad you're safe Queen. So sorry about your garden but you can replace and replant everything, you and your babies cannot be replaced and that's what matters most. Love from Australia. xx ♥️🌹❤️ xx
So glad you have power back. I'm praying for everyone who doesn't. I live on the outerbanks of NC and we go through it a lot. I was out for 10 days after Florence. It was horrible! I hope we have a better season this year. My son's are handicap and it's rough when that happens.
Look I got to leave another comment to say how damn adorable best friend is without makeup on. She starts off beautiful and adorable and ends up a goddess. It's a win the whole video. ❤
my grandmother just got her lights back on the 11th she lives in an assisted living facility (it was on the news). their lights went out the night of and the facility did nothing until the night before the lights came on, 8 tenants ended up having to go to the hospital 🙁
I ain’t been on my p’s and q’s with the uploads😂, but I’m binging them all now. You help me through my toughest times💕please never stop making content.
I was in NM after my moms funeral when I learned of Beryl so I stayed an extra day despite my bf telling me to stay. Came home after 13 hrs to no power, despite everyone else having power in my complex but 3 buildings. To add insult to injury someone had broken into my apartment, smh. It was a mess but yeah pray for HTX cause some are still without power living in horrible hotels. They spike the cost so high on regular ones it should be a crime. I loved the story as always. I love your content and am sorry you were without power so long. I really love your book suggestions I read the "One" couldn't find "Tender" at the library so bought it online. Keep up the good work❤
I have always seen this photo of this girl and she looked terrified and no one has ever explained to me what happened to her and I’ve thought about it for years so thank you for doing this video
Generator prices have gone up so much. My family did w/o generators for about 25yrs. Always using coolers during power outages in hurricane season. Finally these past few years we have an old generator that was my brothers. He bought it used and left it with me when he moved to NY. So my family now uses it during hurricanes.
❤ relieved to know you're all good. I look forward to seeing you every week! My prayers n thoughts are with everyone down tin your area right now. Stay safe love
Girl, I’m in Illinois and we got hit with 2 tornados, 2 days in a row. We’re on day 2 without power but fortunately have a generator. I feel for everyone there without power and/or resources. Glad you’re ok!
New here been binge watching your channel. Your videos has been my go to riding to and from work in this Houston traffic and to hear you here in Houston a plus. 💖
I’m so sorry that you’ve been through this. Being without power isn’t easy. I’m glad you’re safe. I’m so sorry about your garden though. We had a windstorm here in Seattle in 2006 that knocked out power for 10 days in my neighborhood and longer in certain parts of the Pacific Northwest. We had hurricane force winds, which is unusual for us here. This storm was on December 14th if I recall correctly. It was right around my husband’s birthday, which is December 15th. Thankfully our house at the time had has stove and 4 gas fireplaces. So we weren’t cold. We just didn’t have a way to charge our phones or shower. We bought a generator after that. Since it was winter we put our refrigerated food outside in a cooler with ice and it kept cool. Ice was hard to get though. So was gas. Our daughter 3 years old and she was so bored in the dark and it gets dark around 3 pm here in December. We set up play dates during the day time at local parks and we had went to a friend’s home that had power to put our frozen food in their freezer. I’d completely forgotten about this storm until I saw the photos of your garden. Our banana trees were a mess. They were my favorite trees in our backyard. The gardener was able to salvage them. He was a miracle worker with plants. I’m a plant killer.
Very glad to see that you’re safe gurl!! You and the pups, sorry about the garden but it will regrow. That boy Robert looks like he’s suffered a stroke!
Babes. I know your pain. As a born and raised coastal Floridian beach brat I definitely feel you. I've been doin the hurricane song and dance for 40yrs now. It's just something we deal with to live within a block from the ocean my whole life. So we've got generators and it doesn't make it much more comfortable. Granted it's better than loosing everything. We still can't run the AC or much power. Still. We live in an area that usually get power back shortly after the bridge gets structure checked and vehicles are able to move across it. Those hotels and businesses that gouged should and most likely will be charged and held accountable for the disgusting ways they wanna take advantage of people that are desperate... They do here at least. So they don't even try the b.s. any more for the most part.
I'm sorry Beryl got your garden. She was disrespectful! My Jamaican family are going through it too. Not many people still have a roof and they don't have electricity either xxx
Glad your power is restored. Your locs are lovely.💞 I am a Sagittarius and feel a little weird about being a tad bit excited we made the list today.😜 I love your content -thanks for posting! 🙌🏾
Bless you and prayers for you!! And, all of H town. It was supposed to hit us (Corpus Christi). When that crazy freeze happened here in South Texas (it was 14°), we had four vehicles and only one had heat. You can bypass that leaking heater core because we don’t need any heaters. And our other truck was a 97 dodge truck and it had a plug in it. It took an hour to make a pot of coffee!! We didn’t have lights for like five days. I can handle 115° but not 17°!! Glad you’re okay and sorry about your garden.
I was thinking about you last night, I was like, where has she been. I haven't heard anything from her, then I woke up to your video so I'm happy asf. 😂❤

Soo soo glad you are ok I know that storm was a bit much🖤 also Can you do a vlog on food for the children ?? I want to start making food for my babies but idk where to even start🫣
I feel ya honey! My family and I live in southeast Ga. Right above Florida and hurricane season is no joke! Our last power loss from a hurricane lasted 5 days! Yet my street was first street in our county to lose power and last street to get power back on.
Aw girl :( if you have jars with lids in your cabinets, that are empty and not being used, put water in there! In case of emergency never store empty jars ❤ you’ll always have drinkable water
🙏🙏 praying and positive vibes for you and Texas. I know the struggle. We live in SWFL hurricane Ian hit us so hard. It was the first hurricane I was actually really getting scared.
