It's a very important topic which is raised by you. I tell you one thing about this topic that it's time to take necessary action against red light areas opraters and request to govt pls take a strict law against red light areas across the whole india.
Prostitution should be made completely legal. Before you badmouth me, hear me out. According to a report by Amnesty international, 95% of these sex workers can't approach police or law authorities because they think that they have done something illegal. Perpetuators commit heinous crimes against them because even they know that these women can't approach police because prostitution per say is illegal. This issue was first raised in Germany where prostitution is a huge problem. Most prostitutes over there begged the Government to legalize it so they can seek help if something bad happens to them without the fear of going to jail. But then again in a country like India it may have some controversial results because even if prostitution is legalized, the lack of literacy will do it's job and most women won't even know about it. It is evident from the fact that how most of the people are afraid when police arrests them for no reason as they are not aware of their rights. DISCLAIMER: My intention is not to hurt anyone's feelings. All the facts I mentioned are well documented on the Government websites and news channels. Let's keep the debate civilized if possible.

First of all, Indian laws should be much strict for public servents and politicians who have been given power and misusing it. People related to trafficing should be punished like hell.
In my opinion, prostitution should be partially legalised otherwise there would be opposite impact in the society. Prostitutes should be licensed and considered as a designation. No work is mean. Society needs to change their view.

I believe you are right licensing and dignity of work. Some form of prostitution is inevitable. It should not be forced on anyone.
But the problem is if forced prostitution will be banned then there will be very very few sex workers available in the market which will not be enough to meet the demand so trafficking is inevitable until prostitution exists

Before you badmouth me, hear me out.
According to a report by Amnesty international, 95% of these sex workers can't approach police or law authorities because they think that they have done something illegal. Perpetuators commit heinous crimes against them because even they know that these women can't approach police because prostitution per say is illegal.
This issue was first raised in Germany where prostitution is a huge problem. Most prostitutes over there begged the Government to legalize it so they can seek help if something bad happens to them without the fear of going to jail.
But then again in a country like India it may have some controversial results because even if prostitution is legalized, the lack of literacy will do it's job and most women won't even know about it. It is evident from the fact that how most of the people are afraid when police arrests them for no reason as they are not aware of their rights.
DISCLAIMER: My intention is not to hurt anyone's feelings. All the facts I mentioned are well documented on the Government websites and news channels. Let's keep the debate civilized if possible.
