imagine looking out onto 100,000+ people knowing they know every word to a simple little song you wrote one night well you were alone. i want that someday.
I've seen Green Day in concert 3 times. They always end with Time Of Your Life. And you can always see tears in Billie's eyes when he sings it. It's amazing how passionate he is for what he does. He enjoys every second of his concerts and I think that's why they're so good live.
Had the extreme luck to have two tickets to MTV’s punk disaster tour… took my sister and we had the crummy seats, did not care! Singing along with crowd…. It was an amazing time… also lost hearing in my right ear, did not care! Would do it again! Good memories! RIP my dear sister…
I feel like the look on his face when he finishes the song perfectly exemplifies the dream of any musician/singer. Thousands of people singing along, cheering to your song.
Take a minute and appreciate the crowd at that concert. Everytime they zoom in, you don't see them on mobiles, or even recording the show. They're busy enjoying the moment, living right in that moments. Awesome!
This has to be the best live performance I have ever seen of Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day. I love it how at the end, Billie Joe calls Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt out to accept the applause with him.
This is my favorite live version of any song all time. The guitar specifically, him using the Les Paul Jr instead of an acoustic sounds massive, and the vocal performance is perfect as well
Because of billie I got my gibson guitar, becasue of billie I play punk rock. Hes my hero. The end of the performance always moves me. Look at the kids singing..what a way to end the concert. Wish I could have been there.
I was at this concert on Sunday 19th June 2005, I was 16 then. As soon as I hear this, it instantly takes me back to the moment in time that I will never forget
This was the dvd/cd that got me into rock music. I couldn’t believe my mom bought it for me but she did lol. I was in middle school and too young to understand the songs but I LOVED it! Loved the sound. I watched this religiously and now I’m 28 and I still prefer this over the original versions of the songs. I still watch this on dvd and on TH-cam from time to time but the audio will always have my heart. I hope I get to see them live someday
I can 100% confirm as a 14; almost 15 year old (now almost 34!) I was somewhere in that crowd in Milton Keynes that night and it was pretty fucking insane!
I attended night one, I remember being in complete awe during this, Billie Joe Armstrong stood alone on stage in front of 60,000 people, every single one of them in the palm of his hand. That feeling in that moment still sticks with me today.
The dream of every artist is to create something that taps into the very core of the human spirit. This song is not just one of the greatest songs ever written, it's one of the great artistic achievements ever. It could have been written in any decade in any country by anyone and it would always be one of the greatest songs ever.
Use to watch this concert all the time and dream of seeing Green Day in person. I finally got to see them in person back in 2017 and I remember crying tears of joy that I finally got to see them live & they were just like they were on dvd. I absolutely loved it!
Raging Love I learned to play the same song at age 8, but no where as good as Billy. Electric is easy to play. But im still trying to play the same as this video and cant quite nail it yet at age sixteen
2:55 that ending g chord is just powerful. Not because it’s on an electric guitar, but it just sounds wow. It’s haunting. Makes me want to get a Gibson :)
That feeling of sadness and emptiness that washes over you when something you don't want to end suddenly does and you somehow want it to continue on forever. That's the feeling you get at the end of a Green Day concert.
For my 13th birthday I bought Bullet In A Bible and Blink 182 Greatest Hits CD and was so stoked, watching this is crazy to think how fast time flies now I’m 19 smh
This song is so awesome, far best live version of this song. I always smile at 2:33 because you can see a tear coming out of Billie's left eye. Best band ever. :)
-it's not a question but a lesson learnt in time...... I hope u have the time of your live..... ❤️❤️❤️ Billie joe Armstrong thanks for making my childhood memorable 🙏🙏🙏
no es en vano que fuera considerada el 7mo mejor concierto de la historia del ROCK y la mejor (hasta ahora) del punk rock.. ojala algun dia vengan a PARAGUAY
Bringing back some memories this is, I was at this gig. Great day, great gig - best of all I could walk home and heard it from my garden the previous day :D
Have no idea how many times I listened to and watched the CD/DVD of this concert as a 10 year old.. was one of the first albums I learned to play all the way through on guitar by ear. It also started my love for the LP Jr… still not got one though, waaah they’ve doubled in price since 😭
This ending to the show changed my life.... The passion and the love Green Day but into this show and the visible tears on Billy Joe during wake me up when September ends , and even in this video just remind me why i got into music......

this aint a one night song. i believe its been around since dookie but rob cavallo did not encourage him to put it in the album until nimrod
It's 8 years later, hope you somehow found some sought of success with your music - even if you do small gigs at pubs and stuff.
This song ain't the original it's years old buy a Irish singer but green Day is the better version
@@stevemoult85 Wut? No iss not. Billie wrote this about his ex unless I'm mistaken.
@@ThisDude234 it was done by a Irish singer

Agree. This was billie Joe in his absolute prime. His voice is perfect across the whole repertoire of songs. Especially This. It’s brilliant.
Because of billie I got my gibson guitar, becasue of billie I play punk rock. Hes my hero. The end of the performance always moves me. Look at the kids singing..what a way to end the concert. Wish I could have been there.
You are like me, you like green day and achievement hunter!
He is one of the reasons that I picked one up in 1995
Billie changed my life too. He is the reason I play guitar. He is definitely my music hero.
Billie is why i play guitar, hes why i want to start a band, hes why i love music more than anything, i love green day as a whole
Billie joe is the reason I play guitar that’s simple but fun and write songs that go with it
The mans a genius
I was at this concert on Sunday 19th June 2005, I was 16 then. As soon as I hear this, it instantly takes me back to the moment in time that I will never forget

Green Day are the greatest Punk Rock band to ever exist
i second that! :]
They arent a punk rock band.
JimLahey1234 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Day follow this link and you will be proved wrong
JimLahey1234 that's why they are even better :D They took Pistols' noise and turned into music.
nobody can deny that they have tons of punk songs: geek stink breath, stuck with me,longview....
BJA playing this song on electric guitar really does 'electrify' the song
