This is why I love the molded vinyl headliners used in many Japanese cars. Maybe doesn't look as nice as this leather sure, but my car is 23 years old with no headliner problems.
I just got my 430 back from having the F1 accumulator replaced and was cleaning up the inside since it sat in the shop for a while and the headliner fell as I was wiping it down. Damnit!
did it smell strong when u used it after they put all that adhesive- I realize after your video that it is not easy to do that liner work. I have a jaguar xk and Maserati gran turismo that have the liner on my head and I just don't want to do it- The idea of an upholester pulling it out and the surrounding pieces doesn't sit well w me. Much less leaving the car at one of those run down looking shops that do that work. Its a shame that fine cars have this issue and that the authorized dealerships don't want to do upholstery work and refer u out.
As a interior crafsman myself I have to agree protection inside is the best way to go. Even when working inside covering of seats is a small effort and great please towards the client. There is no risk in damage, better than be sorry. Same with the spray gun (I use the same glue) it is better to cover the dashboard and seats. After spraying remove this cover and replace it. The glue rains (sometimes) down and the infected cover will cause stains which can not be removed, agressive (and illegal to be used in confined spaces)
You don't think you have the DiY skills to repair a headliner... what?! Come on Dan, remember you live in Texas. Git'r done. Five minutes, some super glue, and a roll of duct tape and you could have that baby as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar.
Having said what I have about you headliner. I think it is totally unacceptable that a headliner should fail on a car. I noticed that the glue seemed to be applied in strips from the factory. Your guy did what should have been done from day 1, an even coat of contact adhesive over the entire part. A premium brand like Ferrari should be ashamed of that. Those failures are less likely in the UK because we don’t have your temps, but hey Ferrari your worldwide. Still would love one. 😃
Ahmad Farhan , you're right, but for some reason I see more European and Italian with this problem. But then again, here in Austin because of the heat, the headliner problem is more common here
Dan, you did it right... mechanical is one thing, but upholstery is different. We all need a good upholstery guy that we could count on.
I have an interior guy that's pretty amazing, but I like being able to do things that I have skills to do. Which is fairly limited. Lol

Great job, love this at home service for things.
Great video Dan .👍

Ah crap. Well better than while driving I suppose. It does seem to happen to most of them.
Funny, I've never had this problem before with my 360 Spider, LOL
$500 well spent I mean it's a Ferrari and his Craftsmanship is Impressive....Looks Factory Fresh
I wonder if Hushmat or Dynamat or similar would help with thermal and noise here.
Hmm possibly?

how i install dome light of this model?
I don't know
Thankfully I don't have a headliner to worry about, lol--just a fiberglass shell when I choose
Wow! Nice job! Good forever now....LOL
Scared me watching Jay spraying contact adhesive all over the bare roof inside a non dustsheeted ferrari interior.
A Fool With A Tool. I appreciate the feedback
And to think I was worried when I had adhesive sprayed on my iPhone
I did have a piece of carton to aid in keeping overstay down, but yes, I do cover the seats in most cases.

How much did this repair cost you? My new car has this issue.
$400ish
daniel hurlbert, what kind of company are you a software engineer for?
Better than the original ;)
Should be!
Now you can wear a10 gallon cowboy hat while driving and not hit the roof!
Hi-heels are rough on headliners. LOL
:-)
Smart move. Get the pros do it when you do not have confidence doing it yourself. It's like new.

Wise move Dan O, if you would have messed it up it would have cost you a lot more $

the headliner issue is not a ferrari thing. it happens with 99% of any continental car. had to replace my 08' tt headliner last week
