I totally understand about Miss Callie!!! Our GHD (Great Pyrenees) Miss Sakura is now 16yo & spends most of the day sleeping in the house or sunning herself on her favorite high spot overlooking the pastures. She no longer comes upstairs, but still will give a warning bark to unwanted critters & to discipline the other ThunderPups!
Yep you can look at poor Callie and tell she is looking worn out. 12 is very old for that breed. Thanks for the update 😎

Great Pyrenees are awesome dogs and make good watch dogs. So sad that Callie has the health problems as I went through that with my Ginger. Gee those were some good looking deer at the feeder and do know how to jump the fence. Thanks! Y'all take care.

Its sad when they get old, my youngest of 4 right now is 8, one 10 and 2 are 12. 2 are stock dogs that work the couch real good now and the oldest are little ankle biters. Just found your channel this week and I have been binge watching between chores this weekend. So enjoy watching you and Houston.

Daniel, if you can, check for organic food for dogs. I know she's old, and, according to you, about to go, but organic food I heard can duplicate the life of dogs up to around 20 years total life. I know is expensive, just if you can because I know it can be expensive. Take care and thank you for honoring Callie by providing her home and nice meals. May God bless you Arms Family!!!

Poor Callie. Big dogs live such short lives.
Just as I was watching your vlog I felt the bed shaking. My sweet 11 year old Chihuahua, Pinky, started having a seizure. Shes been having them for several years. Shes a rescue so we are not sure when they started. We've used CBD and it didn't work very well. Now we're using a herbal powder. She is still having seizures but they are milder. Its just about midnight and Pinky has her eyes wide open, and Shes waiting for me to rub her back.

I'm jealous it was only 12 degrees above zero with a wind chill of -4 in Indiana today. I feel your love for Cally. Our little farm dog, Tito, is 16, blind and deaf. He is half Toy Rat Terrier and half Chihuahua, and has saved more cold lambs than I could have ever saved. We think he only has about a month left, maybe less. It's hard to think about replacing him. Good livestock dogs are hard to come by. I had a doe almost walk in the hen house with me last Saturday. I've seen her really close, in the garden about 20 yards from the hen house, but she was being really nibby and we almost bumped into each other as I came out with a feed bucket. We both jumped. She took off for the woods, but stopped to look back a couple of times. It was cool and scary at the same time. They come in to eat some of our round bales when the weather gets really bad in the winter.
I love big dogs, but when they are 10-12 years old, be ready for some heartache. Houston does need him a dog though.

Love your dogs, they are such characters, and I've noticed the white one just chilling with the goats and looking kool while the baby goats give her love, The fence appears to be keeping the hogs out ,

So sorry to hear about Callie . For some reason many You Tubers are losing their dogs these days . Large dogs only last about 10 -12 years . Lost mine last year and it still bothers me big time . As long as she's still eating and no signs of pain you can still give her a good home .

I think you gonna need longer stronger temporary posts to hold back those tiny little posts man. Double zip tight them to it and you'll be good to go. More than one of us realized that setting the power thing inside the net will protect it, and, consider setting the cams at a distance they can catch the wide diameter or perimeter of your fence plus an extra area out of the fence so you see what comes around.
Aw, Callie, poor baby. They have supplements for old dogs. It's such a pain getting old.

Callie is a beautiful dog, I use to have a dog like her.
That's so funny with that daschund. Our dog has a sixth sense and knows before I do when a vehicle is about to be started up to leave. Happiest place is laying on the pedals of the golf cart or side by side or laying right next to the driver door of the truck, he will not be left at home!!

she's a pretty old girl I had wondered about her when I saw her in the background, I had a pair of newfoundlands my female lived to be 11 and a half before I had to put her down, I still miss her, dogs don't live long enough I'm jealous ya'll having great weather and we're getting snow in virginia

Siren like that around here are for the volunteer fire department and EMS. and it snowed bad here in Northeast Ohio. A bunch of cars wrecked on I-80 and it was closed. Had to find another way home. Hate the snow.

Oh Daniel its not easy having to decide a date for your beloved Callie! They do get into our hearts & don't ask for anything but love & kindness! Be strong young man! That is a good age for a big dog. I'm curious, I never see you feeding the dogs, do they eat the deer/goat feed or do you feed them somewhere else?? Thanks always for your fun videos, I do enjoy them, but don't always get them to follow on, hence why I watch old ones from 3yrs back! Have a safe lockdown from South Africa
