But mine was a return from another customer. it doesn't seem used, cuz it smells like beautiful florentine leather. but no wrapping on the bag..I think it was returned because it was super pebbled. I checked and it's very clean no bad smell or dirty. so I kept it cuz it was at a discount and it's one of my unicorn colors. So I have heard from other Dooney sisters.. most Navy Florentine comes pebbled rare when it's smooth florentine. Have a great day 😀
I always admired the Clayton on others and wanted at least 1 in my collection, I tried it on at the outlet and it was too heavy for me. I am able to carry the Kingston though. Gorgeous satchel too!! TFS
Enjoy your Clayton. My florentine black Clayton has pebbling . I truly enjoy the Clayton. The bag can hold a lot and it does not change shape. I hope you keep it . It is a wonderful bag . I had to get my Black Florentine out and shine it up while you were showing your Florentine Clayton bag . You won't regret keeping the bag. The midnight blue is so beautiful. Please keep it . Years from now the Clayton will still be in style.
I definitely understand your concern with the Florentine. I ordered the Clayton in black black and I was surprisingly happy. My first Florentine I was unhappy with. I hope you find the perfect fit. It didn’t seem to excite you. I hate that for you. Purse unboxings days are so exciting! I participated in the glitch sale and I didn’t do a live unboxing because I never have any luck. I did do a reveal. I got a Clayton as well! That satchel is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! TFS🌺
Senise based on the indentation you pointed out on your Clayton and that you’re not happy with the pebbling, overall you don’t seem happy with this bag, and we all know that not being thrilled with a bag tends to end in no arm time. But Clayton would be SO pretty in suede! 🤣 on your “Placed in rotation” comment!!🤣
You didn’t seem as excited with Clayton, as you normally are with the other Dooney bags. I own a Clayton in chestnut and it was my 2nd purchase of donned bags way back in 2014 or 2015. My first Dooney was the classic Florentine satchel in natural, 2nd purchase was Florentine Smith and Clayton. I probably carry my Clayton in fall and I love my Clayton. It’s is a heavy leather bag. I would keep if you had a good bargain. Otherwise I would return it and get it later. I love the yellow wallet very much. You are pushing me towards buying this wallet. I saw another video of yours about the same wallet in a different color. I am sold now.
It looks to be a beautiful bag. But if you are not satisfied, you could try to reorder and see if you get a better bag like someone else said. We pay a lot for these bags and like you said you weren’t feeling it. You should get everything you expect in your bag. Good luck.
They are all so nice! But I get how you feel About the Clayton. I have a Black Florentine that's pebbled all over. I kept it and it is pretty...the plus is I'm not as careful with it (its aged well) but the level of enthusiasm I have reaching for it isn't the same as with my smooth Florentines. If it's your dream bag to carry you want to feel happy about it.
I received the navy Clayton over the Thanksgiving Holiday and my bag was terrible so much pebbling and looked worn and used sent it back that following Monday so disappointed I did not reorder.Good luck have a great day 🌞👜
Hi, I’ve owned a natural Clayton for at least 7 plus years. It is a “rough” Florentine lol. I view it as character in the leather. This is a quality bag and it only gets better with wear. IF you don’t mind leather with character. It is “flimsy” but not thin. It’s not stiff like the pebbled satchels. If you watch the qvc Clayton videos you can see differences in the leather on some of the bags. If you are particular then you may not enjoy the Clayton. I mean that w/no offense. It’s ok to have preferences. 🙂

Your Clayton is an iconic silhouette. The only Florentine bag I returned was a Navy - it looked so much like pebble grain. I kind of regret it now so I’m no help. I love the mustard color! Your midnight satchel is stunning. Thanks for sharing! Peace and love..Suz What ☮️💚🌻
It’s so disappointing when you are so excited about getting a Florentine bag and it comes pebbled. I ordered the Clayton in Bordeaux when they were having the promo glitch on ILD and ended up being $149 plus tax. Wow, what a deal right? Well, ended up there was 17 available when I ordered and I didn’t get it. They sold out even though it said 17 available, Whomp Whomp!😩😩 I love the Clayton and if you got it at a steal I probably would keep it, but that’s me. It is a beautiful bag and I love the Navy too!! Tfs!! 💜
You have some great items. I understand about the pebbling, but from a distance it looks great. Whatever you decide is your choice, but keep in mind they increased the prices with florentine items close to 600 dollars.🙂

I love the silhouette. I love bags with “character”. Bags that are meant to be carried and showcased. I ordered two. One in Black and one in Natural. I am so excited and looking forward to wear them.

I decided to keep it. No two purses are exactly the same and each bag comes with it's own flow so I'll rock with it and see how far it takes me
