I thinks if one can understand this video, than there is no need to understand other things.it is whole, but it wants maturity, wisdom to accept this.I am doing meditation from 25 years.i can understand what bliss is.but sometime i missed this point,as I become aware after the thought but when awareness remains in front of the thought then there is no any problem.I think this is nirvana.liberation etc.

Let me begin with the fact of consciousness being with the whole of its content at once and not bit by bit but as a whole As regards thought observing itself as it arises In both the cased the seminal fact is, observation without the observer In attention in the living present there is perception without the perceiver I This is pure perception There is no thinker without thought Only one thought assumes the authority of the thinker separating itself with self as the centre One who is free from thought only has true understanding what action is

Can you tell me the difference between thought becoming aware of itself and me becoming aware of thought?
Is first one about being aware of thought arising without having a thought or comment about it and second one is me which is a thought commenting on last thought which had arisen!!?

    • @scottjolland7086

Thought cannot become aware of itself. The thoughts can think it is thinking the thoughts but it is not so.
When a thought says: I was just thinking this or that, or I was aware of what I was thinking, *that is still just thought*. One has become so identified with thoughts that a person has developed from thought which actually doesn’t exist. This means that thought thinks it is thinking, or the thought thinks it’s someone thinking thoughts. But actually There is no thinker, only the thoughts in movement, Literally
When you can observe every thought without being identified with it in anyway you will be free from it completely. All your mental suffering will not exists.
Observe even the thoughts that say I like this or I want that, or I am sad, or I am stressed or I feel pain or I want enlightenment or I am scared. When you can observe even those thoughts, you will be looking at this person you thought and believed you were your whole life and will see that this person is nothing but a bundle of *thoughts*. They are just thoughts that’s all, NOT a person. That is real meditation. One that is not bound by even his own mind or his illusory self
You will be observing the thoughts without any reaction as all reactions come from thought and there is no (person to react) as you are literally watching that (person in the mind) saying i want freedom, i must rush, I don’t like that etc. You are observing all this which is called the i thought.
Try this right now while your reading this: say with your thoughts in your mind, I am me, I am sad, I am happy, I want money. You’ll see you are not the thoughts, you are what observed them.
You’ll see that awareness watches even the person thats thinking it is thinking
There is no good or bad thoughts. Simply they are just thoughts. We give them positive and negative charge with our beliefs
There is no (person) thinking. There is only thought itself. This illusion is the ego (the idea me) that is made up by thought and it comes from thinking that I am the body and mind
When there is no thought, there is no mind, and no me
You are what is aware of the body and thoughts. You are not the body, or any of the contents of the mind. You are not thoughts or the person that thought has made up. The true self is what observes all this drama happening
Just observe. Literally. But not from the mind. If you try to observe from the mind it will be just thought thinking it’s observing. Completely Observe with awareness the whole thought process

I know I’m a year late but I want to share something. As far as I can understand I can be free of all conditioning, illusions etc, while still being fully active and operating on the world. Just by understanding that the mind is not my deepest essence, I can be free even of my memory and knowledge.
Which knowledge is needed to apply, let’s say for my job/career, but while I’m free of it, it still re-emerges when it’s needed naturally. Right?
I wonder if I’m just overthinking now or I’m close to some insight 🤔

I have an experience of what he is saying. Once I was empty from within and it was feeling very heavy from within. So I reached a point where silence was present and i sit there on grass and feeling the sunlight. It was a winter morning and the sunlight was making my heart very light and i found peace in there. While i was sitting for some moments there and looking or seeing the blue sky it was very good. Suddenly a thought arise in my mind from no where as it was like the sky give me the thought or said to me "tomorrow and day after tomorrow 2days there will be fog and after two days it will be a beautiful sunny day again". As this thought came to my mind my whole peace got disturbed. I stand up and was wondering from where such thought came in my mind, may i have became psychologically Ill or mad as how can I think such thing which is just as a kind of imagination. But my mood was off as how this thought came and destroyed my peacefulness. The day went and i wake up next morning and I was shocked because it was a very dense fog completely in contrast to the previous sunny day. Oh i thought it is just a coincidence and the day went off again. The same thing happened the next day was completely foggy morning again. It happened just as a coincidence maybe. But the day after these two foggy morning was a very fine bright sunny morning and there was a beautiful heat and warmth. Here I got shocked because it was not mere a coincidence or imagination what I had thought previously it was completely true. I feeling experience of life i had that day and till now I'm thinking about it from where that thought arose in my mind and i can completely understand what this highly educated old man jaddu Krishnamurthy sir is saying and why he is finding it not easy to explain. Thanks for this video of Krishnamurthy sir he is a good man.

I do think that thinking being aware of itself is something that is not very easy to do,because it needs you and the brain to break the pattern without a pattern,to change without motive. For us motive ia everything, even the brain works from cause and effect,if you r leg is sitting weird,at some point the brain tellas your body to move, everything is cause and effect, every action has a motive, its pretty insane to do something that breaks the order of how things work, but i do like the challenge though

Yes, when thought becomes aware of itself, thought stops, it's dead, another dimension emerges, there is attention, complete silence, vast space. The opposite is not paying attention, being distracted. realizing that not paying attention is paying attention. There are only two states: thinking and not thinking (not paying attention and paying attention). When one exists, the other disappears. There is no single entity there to be aware of thought. What is aware of thought is the whole, the sacredness that lies within the human being, a part of the source, the sacredness of the entire universe. it is also the energy of life, of the universe. all is one, life and death are one.

  • @youhustlinmeboi5335
    @youhustlinmeboi5335 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Being consciously aware of a thought isn't the same as having a thought, it's a vague question because what type of thought are you having? I sometimes daydream and when I become aware of a thought in the daydream I'm aware, I'm no longer having the thought but I actually like when this happens and i will backtrack my thoughts sometimes i have jumped 5 or 6 thoughts back to the start and understand why I'm thinking of my childhood because my subconscious noticed a similarity from my memory or it can be another random experience, and I can backtrack my thoughts consciously successfully 90% of the time. But being in thought connects you to emotions and sensory stimuli You can even physically lose focus to what your physically looking at and you lose awareness, mentally which can be so deep in thought you lose local physicality to the thought.
So being consciously aware of a thought while having a thought is possible .but depending on how much energy and sensory stimuli is involved in the thought would delegate how much conscious awareness you have of it while in it.

paul stuart I think a lot of people stumble on ego. They think it’s that thing that you can get rid of to be nicer. Like a smaller part of you. That’s sort of the western ego that still let’s us be an individual and proud. When K talks about ego he’s mentioned it as the entire thing in the skull. He literally means the “me”. The “I”. What we are, from the subconscious to the super ultra consciousness ideas we come up with is the ego. The me. That entire center.. that’s more or less what I’ve seen him mean by the ego. Subtle but radically different perspective. :)

    • @robduijf2752

@@Thegooob95 There is no objective ego in the brain; no spot of witch one can say: there it is! There is only thought as an objective proces that can be measured through various techniques, but the content of thought is imagination, which is illusion. Out of that imagination thought creates the ego as a set of identities with wich it identifies. If you're not aware of it, that illusion becomes reallity, because it gets manifest through your behavior and it materialises in the institutions that you create.

Can there be whole observation of your wife? Not just face....whole quality of human being....That is possible only when there is abandonment of petty 'me'...!
Can there be awareness of jealousy as it arises?
Can there be awareness as soon as first word of a thought arises?
    At last
    There are only thoughts.

The unconsciousness manifesting itself (it is you (Az), yet, not aware of it, a priori actualization) vs. consciousness manifesting the unconsciousness (a posteriori), bringing your awareness in it.
The common denominator would be the change (manifestation).
The first one has the change as its cause, and involve change as its effect. The second one is pretty much the same, but here change is being brought to the consciousness. Actualized change of the unconsciousness.
Here is your root for evolution - the change!
While change happens, you are moving, evolving.
You (Az) - being part of the Whole.
Once you stop being part of the change, and there is no more You that perceives, there is only One - Whole. There is We (Us-Az) becoming the change (the Whole). For many more You's to come (and go).
    The subject and object Union.
