As a first-generation Haitian, let me make this clear. Haiti 🇭🇹 is a beautiful island. HOWEVER, it is a place where the spiritual walks among the living. The times I visited, I've seen sirens at the beach, lougawou on top of houses. Go in with protection, mind your business, and you should be fine. None the less I love my island 🇭🇹

My grandmother use to tell me my sister and cousins a story all the time about how a great great uncle was fishing along the Mississippi River way back on the day. He saw a mermaid out on a rock and she was crying. When she turned and looked at him he said " it was the ugliest woman he had ever seen in his life". We ran. The purpose of my grandma telling us this story was for us to not believe the Disney version of mermaids. They are NOT beautiful beings.

My Granny was born in 1914, in Live Oak, FL- it was nothing but woods and farm fields in those days. Her Mama was born in 1880- something. She was born in the hills of Kentucky- a LOT of questionable stuff up there. And my Great Grandmother on my Dad's side was half Cherokee- HER Mom was the medicine man's only daughter. The other side of my Dad's family and ALL of my Mom's family was Irish and Scott. I was raised by people with their "superstitions". (Really common sense stuff when you have no idea what's on the other side.) I told my Granny when I got my first place about this sign I got I couldn't wait to put up. She told me then "If you want to welcome in guests, put the sign on the wall BEHIND the door as it opens. Never, ever put a welcome sign outside or where it can be seen thru an open door." Best believe I listened to her- still to this day!

I had a physical cat who had human intelligence, spoke full sentences and conversations, appeared to me in dreams and spirit form. She was my only friend as a teenager, my sister who comforted and loved me thru the horrible years of my father's abuse. My constant loving, and loyal sister. Because of her trauma she understood mine. I miss her so much. Even after her health declined when a horrible person hurt her, she still cuddled, played, talked and walked with me. 7 years with her. I was sleep with my bedroom door closed. She opened the door. It scared the shit out of me. I do believe that my cat Cali is a person reincarnated into a cat. She is a pure menace🙄She understands and communicate. Shes hard headed and stubborn but have a loving heart. But if she start talking. Her ass gotta go😂😂😂😂

I've always had cats and never felt fear when I see one except once. I was living in the countryside in Brasil (we have a lot of spooky stories down here) and this white cat jumped up on my living room window sill. My sofa was backed up to this window and it startled me but nothing scared me more than when I looked at it eye to eye...its eyes were solid black and that cat gave off the most terrifying, evil vibes I had ever felt! I jumped up and told my kids to close all the windows and to NOT let that evil cat in the house. It glared at me like it knew that I knew and then it disappeared. I knew most of the cats in the neighborhood but that one was not one of the local cats. My grandmother taught me that some times animals (especially cats and dogs) can be vessels for low vibrational entities and can bring harm into your home. You gotta trust your gut. Maybe you can do a video about all the spooky and spiritual stories that happen here. Brasil is really rich in spirituality and spookiness!

I had a paranormal experience with a doll that my family does not believe. I swear that the doll was possessed. I was 12-years-old when I woke up in the middle of the night with the doll dancing in front of me. I wouldn’t have believed it had I not pushed the doll to the floor and watched it stand back up. I jumped off the couch so damn fast and jumped from my aunt’s bedroom door to the bed which was quite the distance. I’ve always questioned religion and everything an adult has ever told me. I’ve had experiences all my life in America without going to Haiti from sleep paralysis to watching jars burst from my own anger on its own. The stuff happens everywhere.

When I get anxious I can't be near electronics. Power windows, computers, registers, they go haywire. I failed a final in college once because my computer kept crashing. My professor had no idea what was going on because mine was the only one having problems so he let me switch spots. Same thing happening, I'd become anxious and the computer would crash. He gave me a passing grade though. Funnily enough, I married an electrician. One day, he was working on a project and something wasn't working or powering up. I put my hand on it and told him to try one more time. It started up and he asked what had just happened. I joked that I was a good luck charm.

I have so many stories like these and I’m in the Midwest 😩
Recently, there was a cat all summer that was obsessed with me. He started following me. He came to my building and was looking directly up at my window. Something told me to look outside and he was staring in my face. How did he know what apartment I was in?
I kept telling ppl he was a person cause he was demanding my time & attention. He would sit outside and I would smoke and he’d chill and fall asleep.
Needless to say, when I stopped talking to an ex…he stopped coming around.🧿
Then I was blinded to an extent, but I told this “cat” “I know who sent you and I know who’s watching. Tell him he’s gotta come harder than that”. The cat stared at me in amazement. He went and relayed the message 🧿

One night if felt I felt especially watched. There was no one there. I got out of my car to lift the door and this big ass black cat with human eyes was staring at me! It made me feel weird. This continued for a LONG TIME. My mother told me to tell his ass he’s not welcome at my house.
I saw him again and I talked to him and told him he’s not welcome near me or my home. He looked at me in disbelief as if he wanted to say “How do you know?!”.

My parents are Haitian and I was born here. They were incredibly strict, super Christian, I couldn't go to friends houses (unless my parents knew them) and forget about going to parties, and eating food from other people. It was strictly "lekol, lakay, legliz" (school, home, church - all Haitian kids know this quite well 😂). My mother grew up going to ceremonies with her mother, and she never talks about it. Growing up going to prayer meetings, I loved testimony time, because that's when I got to hear people's wild stories about zombies, and shapeshifting, and other things that made the horror stories on TV look like tame fairy tales.
Now that I'm older and have learned about the culture, I know why my parents, and especially my mother, were so strict. They were protecting me. 👀
My maternal grandmother died 8 years before I was born, but she's the reason why I'm on the spiritual path, because years ago she appeared in my dreams and encouraged me to learn. I find these stories so incredibly fascinating, because it's in my blood. Creepy, yet intriguing! Thank you for doing a 2 part series on this. ❤

She was preparing some gravy for the biscuits, and her cat came up and spoke plain as day "milk mama, milk" and my dad watched that cat. It kept watching him too. Finally the cat looked at him strangely and he grabbed it by the neck! He was squeezing the neck and it said to him "please let me go" and it sounded like a witch voice..my dad threw that cat up against the wall really hard and it scurried off. He said they never seen that cat again. I believe it was a lougwau as well. The lady had no idea it was one! But ot scared her and my dad told me never to trust stray cats. It is not strange that you did not see the cat again, it was subjected to gross and brutal abuse.
Cats are never evil, they have been with us humans for at least 10,000 years and without the cat we would not be where we are today. Cats have saved the lives of humans by catching mice and rats so that the grain could keep humans alive over the winter.
Cats stopped the plague from taking human lives in several places by catching the rats that were carriers of infectious fleas. Small villages survived in several places thanks to cats that caught rodents. Cats are God's gift to us humans and it is a grave sin to treat cats with evil.

And people wonder why I only get pets as babies, from breeders where I see their parents, I don't pick up animals from the street or the shelter. Especially when you don't know their history. Being part Pacific islander I can relate, there's certain rules you follow living in the islands! I'm part Hawaiian and my husband is Sāmoan, and we both had a custom of burying our loved ones in hidden places, in ancient times and in more recent times in Samoa in their land, or in cemeteries in Hawai'i. So spirits are everywhere! It's why one must be respectful everywhere you tread, because you could be treading on sacred ground and on graves, and offending ancient chiefs and powerful ancestors. And it's discouraged to be out at night making noise, swimming, and doing certain things. Because you can see things you might not want to see like the night marchers, a chiefly procession of spirits that can snatch you. If you see them you must prostrate and strip naked like the old days and let them pass. And you must tie your hair up at night because certain spirits either get jealous, and they can enter through your hair, but also your hair is powerful and unleashing your power at night through your hair can cause problems to arise! Also you must be careful during your menstruation not because women are impure, but because women are overflowing with mana or spiritual power and will overwhelm the energies if certain places or disrupt the energy of people. We have choking ghosts, mermaids, spirit animals that represent ancestors that if they are peculiar or ancestral to your family they are there to deliver messages. We also have gecko people, who can be half lizard half human, human, or giant lizard, with extraordinary abilities, and flying gods, basically balls of fire you see at night especially on the big island. There are giants, dwarves, and the Gods that still live to this day. Especially in Hawai'i where the volcano Goddess pele and her clan reside. So listening to the Haitian stories as someone who has African ancestry but is also Pacific Islander, it is very believable! I don't doubt a word! Not a letter. We have these stories here in the USA! Skin walkers shadow people, the hairy people, the nakani giants, lake monsters, giant thunder birds, and even little people were described by my native American ancestors! So much was destroyed by Western colonization destroying the ecosystem and altering it so that it's a totally different place than before Columbus arrived. He wasn't the first to come to the Americas but after he came, the continent was never the same, the world was never the same. Sadly I wonder if many of these beings have either died out or are endangered. Because some of them are actually not spiritual beings they're animals. Either way if I ever get a chance to visit Haiti, or any place for that matter I am a rule follower, and I don't do night life anyway.

I am born and raised in northern Midwestern US and I never heard any stories of animals being dark magic practioners until a couple years ago. I've had all kinds of situations in my life where random animals (some wild, some domestic) have found me and either they became my friend and visitors or sometimes I helped them but I would've never thought not to interact with them. I also will continue to befriend and help them. I don't discount others experiences. I believe these things are possible but I also think we have to be careful that we don't mistreat animals seeking our help or companionship because of hearing such stories. Not only was the government at his job. As far as the guy on the ship goes Sauce90, they came aboard the ship in the middle of the ocean! In addition, he was mysteriously in a car accident with a semi that by the looks of the vehicle he should not have survived. It was only his vehicle and the semi involved. That sounds like the government tried to take him out of here to me.

I'm from Mississippi, I don't know my Ancestoral heritage but I know my maternal grandmother's side is very dark complexion. My cousin and sister and I were 6-7 yrs old and played outside all the time, but you know you have to get in before dark. We were playing near the barn and she yelled come in, but I didn't immediately. My sister and cousin left me, well when I noticed I was alone and it was getting dark, as I turned SOMETHING was standing in front of me. I looked from it's feet up. The feet were look hooves, standing on two feet, the skin was black and was like tree bark, ears or horns and ugly! I couldn't believe I could run but I did and I didn't go through the ba k door, and the house was a good distance away, but I ran completely around to the front of the house and scaled the porch. I ran in the kitchen and told my granny and all she said was...I TOLD YOU TO COME IN THE HOUSE!😮
I told my mom about this a few years ago and I'm 49 now, my mom says it sounds like what sat on the side of her bed when she was young, she kicked it, and it punched her leg...she still has the bruise from way back then!!!

Listening to these stories has brought back some memories from the time i live in Jamaica. I was talking to my sister a month or so back and she validated a lot of the things i experienced. Some were scary and others were quite pleasant. She dreamt about the lady in white, i saw the lady in white and became quite ill after. I encountered a rolling calf, at that time i didn't know about them until i explained what i saw and heard to my uncle. We had a lot of acres and i would roam said acres. My uncle stopped me for a while after that encounter. I remember him being gone for a few days and he came back and sat me down to explain a few things. Now that i think of it, the dog was always with me after that. Like she was my guardian, she saved my life twice. I have a lot of stories to tell from my time in Jamaica. Some say Jamaica have a lot of duppy (ghosts) and its so true. Anyway, im enjoying your channel and im looking forward to watching more of your content. Peace and blessings.

When I was in college, there was a Haitian girl who lived directly in front of me in my dorm. She was an amazing writer! One of the English professors we had, told us that if we got at least a B- on our midterm paper, we’d be exempt from the 10pg final research paper. The Haitian girl left her paper in the student lounge and was picked up by a girl who ended up passing it off as her own. She had loooong, beautiful, thick black curly hair past her buttocks. Word spread that she was the one who took her paper and it got back to the HG. She was obviously pissed because she failed midterms and had to take the fina…The morning of the English final, you could hear screaming throughout the dorm. Some people said they heard it outside. Ol girl woke up with all that pretty hair laying on her pillow. We all knew what happened but who was gone check her so they could be next????

I have some stories 😅. My grandmother was a hoodoo practitioner and was an Eastern Star. I’m still trying to figure things out but she passed away before she could pass everything down to me. She treated me like a protégé. Taught me about Zodiac signs, dream books, numerology, and was starting palmistry before she passed. Anywho, I used to have clairaudience. It was really creepy because I could only hear the voices of my mother and grandmother calling my name anytime I was in the bathroom; specifically during my bath time. I still think about it, b/c whenever I told my grandmother, she would tell me not to answer back. However it was ONLY my mom and grandma and they both ended up passing away when I was 9 and 11 respectively. After my grandma died I prayed to no longer hear the voices or have dreams (because my dreams were very vivid /detailed). I still think that it was their higher spirits calling for me to tell me to prepare to lose them early. Idk, it still baffles me. 😔😔
Anywho, my entire family (maternal side and paternal side) have strong spiritual abilities and then there’s just me 😅 no strong abilities like the rest and that might have been due to my fear during my adolescence.

You're from a coven family, that's not good. Both sides of my family are coven families, they tried and are still trying to sacrifice me to steal my path. If you don't have the same spiritual abilities they have, it's because they're using witchcraft to steal your gifts and use them for his/her/themselves. All Eastern Stars and masons are agents of the devil, and most of them pretend to be devout Christians to deceive you. Every family member you have that has ever hated on you is doing witchcraft on you, I'm 100% sure of it ... I've been dealing with coven families my whole life.

I also happen to be the great - grand daughter of a Haitian who moved to Liberia in the 1940s. I guess he felt at home here because he could go to the river and make his annual sacrifices. His daughter, my maternal grandmother, told me stories of how she used to escort him and saw mermaids and a lot of other things. But most of these practices were already in Liberia. Still are today.

He kept trying to run but his grandfather held the back of his pants so he could not run away and he soiled himself. The entity asked him what he wanted and he said I want nothing. The entity roared with laughter and repeated the question while his grandfather encouraged him to ask for what he wanted. He asked to be the top scholar in class so he was instructed to do an egg ritual breaking them in four corners on a particular street. He then became the top scholar. He also showed me a trick his grandmother used to do when someone was lying. It consisted of wrapping string around a bible. If you lie the bible will spin in a certain direction. I could not believe my eyes when I intentionally lied about something and it started spinning in circles. I had completely forgotten about this until today.

One time when i was at coney island beach i heard a beautiful singing coming from the sea. I felt drawn to find it .i walked to the water a bit and my father told me no its sirans they are not nice .im not going to let them take you .lets go and my whole family left. You heard it so loud. I was a child then. I do have love for the sea but i havemt heard the sirans for years now, but i feel im being watched everytime im near the beach ,as an adult now. I feel theres eyes underwater waitng for the right moment. I was told the sirrans eat kids. It was evening. I believe in mermaids . I was in new york when this happen. I felt though i belong to live with them. I love the sea dearly

DOPE CONTENT! I would like to suggest Gullah Geechee culture and the passing of a baby over a casket at a funeral to keep bad spirits away
