My friends waited 8 years. They filed mandamus against the USCIS in July 2023. They got approval in early August 2024. But I hear that people have been getting mandamus refusals for the last 2-3 months because there are too many applicants. Tell me what do you think, should I apply for mandamus now? Can you tell me how many months it will take to get work permit?? How many months I will get interview?? I am an African immigrant with a little child 3 year with development issue. We are family. I applied for asylum visa 2019. But this application final hearing date was 5th December 2022. After going to the court the hearing was cancelled. The judge was sick that’s why .now I’m waiting for the another hearing date. I made a motion to expedite the case. After how many days the result of Motion is available. how long does it take to get a date. Does motion really work??

I think I live in Utah. Too far away from the USCIS office thats why I'm still waiting for the interview.
