The first time I watched this episode, my heart was warmed when I saw the deaf child, for sure. When Morgan cried though, it made me cry. And I literally went "What! I'm never emotional!"
I love the scene between Fizz and the boy with the broken horns speaking sign language. Imaginehow how it must feel to be a hero to someone you see yourself in, it was so heart warming! Also, I thought Fizz's last song was amazing, but "2 Minutes Notice" knocks it out of the park. It was so satisfying seeing him stand up to and break ties with Mammon for good. And Fizz and Ozzie have once again proven to be the most adorable LGBTQ couple in Hell.
The thing for me with the sign language scene is not just how wholesome it was but the fact that’s representation very RARELY shown in animated media, I can’t even remember seeing any before (maybe once) this show does amazing things, also the similarities between fizz and the kid alone just make it so much better
If you haven't seen it already I recommend Dragon Prince. It's got great representation in my opinion. But if you have already seen it, then my apologies.
I completely missed that the little fan is missing their horns too! Fizz taking a moment to be kind to a fan all by itself is sweet. Adding the ASL and missing horns and… hell, how did I not tear up? That's unusual for me.
"I'm not weird...YOU'RE weird, you sick fuck!" (points at random guy in the audience) Fizz doing sign language for the deaf imp kid was so goddamn heartwarming, I nearly cried.
I loved the sign language moment between Fizz and the imp kid. Makes me wonder if Fizz either went temporarily deaf or is deaf and uses hearing aids to hear and had to learn sign language. Also I’m absolutely loving that giant Foxy head in the background and the Alistor toy that keeps wiggling on the shelf.
I've watched multiple people react to this episode and its interesting to see to what degree people pick up on Mammon's abusiveness, it seems to vary depending on how aware they are of what abuse looks like, and it's refreshing to see somebody react so strongly to it, because Fizzerolli's situation truly was hellish and he deserved soooo much better. Thanks for this vid I enjoyed it! You've got a new subscriber!
Unfortunately I’ve both seen and witnessed abuse a lot of others and even myself so I’m very familiar with the different kinds. Its also why it affects me so much. Thank you for your kind words. Also welcome to the channel! 💜
What I find funny is how long the title is compared to the last episode which is simply called "Oops..." XD You don't have to worry about Valentino in this because unless they visit Pride, more likely not gonna see him. (That and I think it now being an official show, they wouldn't put him anywhere due to copyright) but sinners can't leave the Pride Ring. They're stuck there.
copyright will keep him away hopefully, but half of this show takes place in pride. the IMP office is located in pride so the sinners can get there to actually give the crew their business.
I absolutely loved this episode. I did agree with you when it came to mammon reminding me full on of the relationship between Angel dust and Valentino. It pissed me off and had my blood boiling like crazy. I just be growling at the screen telling him to fuck off. as for the song, can we PLEASE GET ANGEL DUST TO SING THE FUCK YOU SONG TO VALENTINO!? that shit would make my day! hope your doing good, keep up the nice work!
Even tho ozzie is my favorite character in the show, I am glad we finally got an evil prince. Beelzabub and Asmodeus aren't evil, and lucifer doesn't seem like a bad guy too. Mammon is finally evil. I wonder which direction satan, leviathan and befalgor will go
As someone who’s born with a disability (I’m on the spectrum), I almost cried when seeing Fizz and the deaf imp interacting with each other. Shows the accuracy and representation of people with disabilities and that like everyone else, we are also allowed to follow our dreams. Back then, I was looked down by my peers due to my condition. And at one point, I went through that same anxiety attack that Fizz had and I laid to the floor crying while everyone else kept on making insults. That’s where I went through rejection. But I had my family who helped me along the way. They loved me for who I am. Even with autism. And with that, I am now a college student in my 5th year and on my way to graduation next semester! Overall, this episode helped me move on from my trauma and had me looking forward to my future! 10/10❤
There are definitely exceptions to the "don't meet your heroes" thingI recently got to meet J Michael Tatum and Brandon Mcinnis they did not disappoint they are absolute sweeties
Best episode yet in my opinion. Popular belief is that Glitz and Glam, the aquatic twins, are native to Envy. Hopefully, we'll see that Ring soon. Whilst Asmodeus and Beelzebub are more benign and hedonistic, Mammon is a more malovelent Sin. He's an allegory to bosses who exploit their employees for profit, particularly those in the entertainment industry. I think Asmodeus and Valentino deliberately look similar to show they're foils to each other.
I didn’t even read that, but I thought the same thing. Glim and Glam have that sea monster thing going on. Also, while they’re incredibly gifted, gifted, they’re not, in fact, funny. It’s got nothing to do with Mammon’s prejudice, which was and is common, btw, but because they don’t try to be funny. Fizz is right when he says, “what an attractive attitude.”
I'm guessing the reason Fizz's chest is still red is because he was lying face-down in the fire. It never actually burned him there since he was in the dirt.
As he says the comment about women underneath in the corner, it says written by Vivian Medrano… So it’s implying that Viv wrote that particular line. So she’s literally taking the piss. Also, Mammon’s voice I think is Kiwi aka New Zealand. His voice actor comes from New Zealand, so his voice is Kiwi.
So, apparently the horse show is called “Peg-a-Sis” from what i found out. Apparently there was a discussion in the lunchroom about what shows everyone would watch, and it devolved into puns and innuendoes, and that one won out as one of Blitz’s shows haha
8:42 That was me when I met Dav Pilkey, the author of the Captain Underpants books. He was so sweet, and even recognized my art from Instagram, which just made my life. 😁
The twins, I believe, came from the Envy ring and I also think they are the resident demons of the ring (like how the sucubus and incubus are from lust and the sharks from greed). Also, if you haven’t noticed before, the hellfire color changes depending on the ring it came from (like green for greed and light blue for lust).
Now that I think about it, Ozzie’s line of “sometimes heroes let you down” is interesting because he has been “let down by a hero” before. Whether he’s referring to the big man that who cast him and his siblings out or his brother who led their rebellion is debatable.
14:40 You're right about that. People telling others to "smile more" are just bored with their lives or they're living in the past, or both. Just like Karens, they need to learn to mind their own business
You know. This always had me curious if one day Morgan would do a collaboration reaction with Elijah regarding Helluva Boss or perhaps when... HAZBIN HOTEL officially begins?
What Fizz went through really hit me hard. Sometimes I feel like if I’m not debilitatingly hard on myself, that it means that everything I am or have ever accomplished is completely worthless.
As a guy am I shocked by how fast other people cry like in that scene with the deaf kid my reaction is always just “awwwww” and I have noticed other people just burst out into tears and I don’t get how people can cry that fast?
I love how passionate you are while watching these, you bring so much energy to the show. I also love the instrumental version of 'You'll Be Ok" that you have playing in the background.
I have never seen one of your videos but I am going to watch them all now. My husband and I have been watching this show together and we watch stuff really differently. He remembers tons of specific lines and song lyrics but he doesn’t emotionally react to anything. I forget tons of details but character connection details are sometimes the only thing I remember about a show. This makes talking about shows with my husband very difficult because he quotes them at me out of context and I only remember the emotional beats which don’t affect him in any way. I will treasure your videos weeping over characters being delicate little emotional flowers.
I find it funny that maybe, just maybe, once again Blitz socially divergent sense of humor might have saved fizz because his ability to see and process humor outside of the main stream actually let him percieve the situation for what it actually was, especially with the "he tried to convince me juggling was cool" line which means Mammon could see through Mammon's vapid tricks from the start.
10:46 Something I’d like to point out: while Valentino’s silhouette/general design does mimic Asmodeus’ compact design, his face and facial expressions look significantly closer to Mammon’s. Especially in the scene where he grabs Fizz’s face and narrows his eyes at him-I instantly got Valentino vibes from the way the frown and squint were animated. I’m sure it was probably an accident/coincidence, but it’s still pretty awesome from a character design perspective. You would think being head of the P*rn industry, Valentino’s main sun would be Lust, but given the way he exploits Angel Dust, it’s probably mostly greed, just expressed THROUGH Lust. Also the reason Alastor doesn’t irritate me with his ‘smile’ thing while most other people do is that he adheres to it himself. A lot of the time when people tell you to smile, it’s just for their benefit, convenience, or enjoyment, it’s not a real belief that they abide by. The kind of people that tell others to smile are often very insufferable themselves. Alastor however seems to actually believe that there are benefits to smiling as much as possible, and so he himself does it.
Alastor doesn’t say, “you’d be prettier if you smiled more.” He’s teaching her about smiling as a tool, and even as a weapon, and he’s letting her in on one of the secrets to his success.
Can we appreciate that the crowd joined Fizz in singing “Mammon you sack of s**t” The same crowd that was foaming at the mouth at his misogynistic ass is cheering on the man calling him out
Fizz did go through so much with the accident. Know what sucks the most about abusers? They prey on vulnerable people. Who's going to be more vulnerable than the superfan who just lost all his prospects and most of his body?
To me he is the sin incarnate of greed. I'm glad they didn't make him all nice and understanding. Like having a boss only obsessed with profits. It makes sense so I can't hate it, he's a bastard but an entertaining bastard I think. Also I like how there going about it cause think of Valentino (who can just go ahead and die) he is the mix of lust and greed. Showing how much the two sins hate each other and can create something very ugly inside and out. That's just my take on these characters lol
At 8:39 I think the most fittable phrase would be: Don't idealize your heroes. You can still be a fan of them, you can still like them, you can still keep supporting them, but that's all; don't go beyond that. As Morgan said, don't pester the sh*t out of them, cuz they're still people, let them be people and that's all.
Fun little gag in the beginning, when Mammon is saying women aren't funny, that's the exact moment "Written by Vivienne Medrano" appears on-screen -- and then it abruptly disappears when Mammon says "anyway" 😂
This whole episode was a ride, honestly, love how unapologetically Australian Mammon is and the fact he's the most corrupt Deadly Sin we've seen so far. They make him SO hated, when a character makes you feel the hate for him? Damn good despite me wanting to throttle the greedy Christmas tree. Also.. yeah Bee and Ozzie being both rather chill Sins in comparison to Mammon, sheesh. Alex Brightman did so damn well, with portraying Fizz's breakdown. I really felt for him so much. Every time the scene comes up in reviews, despite having seen the episode before, I still sob and when Ozzie comforts him. Oh come on you spoiled it
Fr that part made me awwww so hard
@@melanieaprube8388 this is the only account i use
The thing for me with the sign language scene is not just how wholesome it was but the fact that’s representation very RARELY shown in animated media, I can’t even remember seeing any before (maybe once) this show does amazing things, also the similarities between fizz and the kid alone just make it so much better
If you haven't seen it already I recommend Dragon Prince. It's got great representation in my opinion. But if you have already seen it, then my apologies.
The fact that fizz think that oz might leave him if he dosent win this contest broke my heart a bit
Fun fact: Glitz and Glam are voiced by the same person who voices Katie Killjoy
I completely missed that the little fan is missing their horns too! Fizz taking a moment to be kind to a fan all by itself is sweet. Adding the ASL and missing horns and… hell, how did I not tear up? That's unusual for me.
"I'm not weird...YOU'RE weird, you sick fuck!" (points at random guy in the audience)
Fizz doing sign language for the deaf imp kid was so goddamn heartwarming, I nearly cried.
Fizzarolli & Mammon's dynamic is awfully similar to the dynamic between Angel Dust & Valentino
This episode has the best songs and fizz being the main focus is great
What I find funny is how long the title is compared to the last episode which is simply called "Oops..." XD
You don't have to worry about Valentino in this because unless they visit Pride, more likely not gonna see him.
I have a theory what if fizz knows sign language because he was temporally deaf after the explosion
I had a similar thought. THE HEADCANON IS ADOPTED!
Blitzø is canonically a horse girl.
I wrote many papers in college Psych classes about abusive relationships. Episodes like this are... difficult to get through.
I bet money Morgan will ball on the ASL scene
Edit: called it!!!!
The twins give off serious envy demon local vibes to me because they are jelly of fizz and want to take his place
Even tho ozzie is my favorite character in the show, I am glad we finally got an evil prince. Beelzabub and Asmodeus aren't evil, and lucifer doesn't seem like a bad guy too.
Mammon is finally evil. I wonder which direction satan, leviathan and befalgor will go
Leviathan would be a villain too (Envy isn't some harmless thing like Gluttony), Satan is Chaotic good, Belphegor is Passive good, Lucifer is neutral
14:12 I am now imagining *Morgan* and Blitz just relaxing and swapping stories about being "That person"
Omg so many people cried when the kids did sign language🥹But I cried too!🥺
I'm guessing the reason Fizz's chest is still red is because he was lying face-down in the fire. It never actually burned him there since he was in the dirt.
I lost it when you pulled out the punching bag. So funny lol!!!
the hat in "Oops" that fizz wore and said "here's a hat" was actually valentinos hat
I think I speak for everyone when I say that we need a version where angel dust sings that f you song to valentino.
I think Valentino might have actually modeled himself after Ozzy for the lust brand recognition.
Yessss my thoughts exactly!!!
Dresses like Ozzy, acts like Mammon.
I want to learn sign language just to have moments like the one in this episode
Shego was the reason most people like green and black women. Because they can be cunning, ruthless and all the time dangerously attractive.
14:40 You're right about that. People telling others to "smile more" are just bored with their lives or they're living in the past, or both. Just like Karens, they need to learn to mind their own business
Is more about image for money than that
I was expecting the punching bag to come out sometime soon!! 😂love to see it!! Great anger outlet!! This was definitely one of the top episodes!!
Suggestion: playing "Fuck You" when it Mammon's turn on the punching bag might make it even more satisfying
Edit: song is actually called "2 Minutes Notice"😅
3:15 Actually, right after Mammon says that you can see "written by Vivienne Medrano" flash briefly in the bottom left corner
'2 Minutes Notice' has been stuck in my head for the last 24 hours, alongside 'Out For Love' from Hazbin Hotel. It's just such a fucking awesome song!
This was the episode that officially cemented Fizz as my fave character
The way Alastor is just vibing in the background😂 6:41
I love the way he said "so who tops"😂
Can I just say you make me so happy whenever I see you react to something I can't help but grin every single time
Now I know why Ozzie hates Mammon
Like you and Blitzo said: "the ending was TOP notch!"
I love how ‘written by Vivienne medrano’ appeared on screen before snapping away quickly when mammon said women aren’t funny
remember, if someone takes your eye, you're not even until you take two of theirs.
28:12 "incumming call" I shouldn't have laughed this much at this...
Can we appreciate that the crowd joined Fizz in singing “Mammon you sack of s**t”
The same crowd that was foaming at the mouth at his misogynistic ass is cheering on the man calling him out
Fizz did go through so much with the accident.
My heart. 😭
I gotta say, Brandon when voicing young Blitzo he really nailed sounding like he hade braces on I had them myself. 😂
This was amazing. (Love you Morgan 💜) Now I just have to wait for Mosco and Elijah’s reactions. You must collect all of the 3 musketeers. (*cry’s in dyslexia*)
Headcannon- fizz knows sign language bc he was temporally deaf due to the fireworks explosion so close to his face
Fun Fact: this episode dropped the day I quit my job, and when two minutes notice came on, I just started rolling on the floor laughing.
I can feel the ace discomfort 😭😭😭
