My 221K "Fiona" was born in 1964 and she's practically perfect in every way. Love this video and your enthusiasm for these lovely machines!

I love that these little machines are so much better than the newer machines. I love the vintage for their sturdiness and ease of use. Most are such work horses it's like night and day....no comparison to which is better. Thank you for this video. Keep up the great work.

I got mine at our local online estate sale auction. I won the bid. $325! One owner. Half hour away. I love it. I have 3 black 221s also…all work great!!

I just found your channel! I got my white featherweight this week. She was totally dry so I oiled her up and she ran fantastic! I named her Minnie Pearl!

I am so enamored with the Featherweight. I hope to one day own a 222K! Still looking. I just bought two of your books on Amazon - The Complete Guide to Sewing Machine Tension Adjustment (great for reference!) and A Perfect Stitch The Extraordinary 201. After a long 15 month wait I received my one owner 1940 201-2 beautifully restored by Scott Geller of Cow Country Vintage Sewing Machines and Restoration. I love watching your videos and your books. Keep them coming!

Does it matter how the thread sits on the post?? Should it unwind from the rest or the front of the spool?

If you have time for a question? I recently purchased a White Singer Featherweight and as I was inspecting the machine, I noticed a folded piece of corrugated cardboard under the motor. Is this as it should be? Should I remove it? Have you seen this before? Thank you. I do love your videos!

There was often a piece like that when it was first delivered. Yes remove it you don't need paper near the electrics.
