It is meant to represent the spring. The track at the end is Hwasa's solo 'be calm' The second album with title track as egotistic, is red moon and represents moonbyul and the summer. oh... and on hair... all the girls actually have pretty short hair... i think for the past few years they've generally had it around shoulder length (solar has been trying to grow hers back out since she chopped it off at the end of the 4 season project since it got so heavily damaged from constant dying... and yet she's dyed it back to blonde). they all use extensions pretty frequently and are quite good friends with the hairstylist duo that work on them (who are known to work on a lot of idols). they invite the guys to their concerts, solar's had them on several episodes of her yt channel, hwasa brought one on 'i live alone' (even though he got cut from the part that aired, sadly) and even talked about going to the movies with them before they debuted, hwasa pretty much chopped all her hair off precisely because the ceo asked them not to do anything with their hair. she'd been growing it out since, but rarely let people see the natural length much of the time but wheein... sheesh, wheein... she is the one bound to surprise you with her hair. you never know what it'll be like for their next comeback. just within the 4 seasons project, she started with short blonde hair, then had long reddish for egotistic, then short dirty blonde for wind flower and ended with long brown hair for gogobebe. she'll give herself bangs when she gets bored, then 3 days later ask if anyone knows how to make bangs grow out fast because she's already tired of them...
For the solo stuff, I think Wheein’s song Easy is most up your alley. Her other song Goodbye is a ballad (it’s really good tho). As for Solar, her solo debut song is Spit it out, it might not be your type of song but it’s really catchy and her outfits are amazing in the MV. She released an ep a few years back but they are mostly cover songs and ballads. Can’t wait for more of your content! ♥️
wind flower is my favorite too! the mv was heavily inspired by wong kar wai's work and hong kong's cinema. that's why it's so vibe-y and melodramatic i think since you already reacted to byul and hwasa's solos it'd be a good idea to complete it with solar's (spit it out) and wheein's (easy, goodbye, 25) solos before doing mmm album first listens 😊 i love your reactions sm!!!

Video Fun Fact for Wind Flower: The opening scene with Hwasa is the same one they used in their MV Um Ah Oh Yeh. Also, in Wind Flower, each of them is supposed to represent different stage of breaking up: Solar is the first stage - the time during the initial breakup. Wheein represents the second stage. A time where you're wallowing a bit, keeping to yourself. Moonbyul is the third stage, where you're coming to terms and slowly getting back out. Hwasa is the final stage. I love Windflower as well. The song and the way Moonbyul rap in her deep voice. On the MV, I love it mainly because it's a homage to Wong Kar Wai films. There are so many easter eggs of his films that incorporated with the MV. From the make up to the clothes to McDonald's. I squee a little on that Moonsun taxi scene, where Solar leaned her head on Byul's shoulder. It is based on his gay movie called Happy Together. Hwasa is a huge fan of the late Leslie Cheung. Starry Night is very artistic in choosing the scenery. The Star Wind Flower Sun MV (Solar composed this for her members) is also on the same location. Sorry for the long ramble but I'm loving your videos and genuine reactions to Mamamoo! What I love about Windflower so much is that there's a nostalgic feeling to it. The MVs/songs you watched in order are part of their 4 colours 4 seasons project, where each member gets a season and a colour (the member also has a solo in their respective album). Hwasa is yellow and spring, which is where Starry Night is from the album titled Yellow Flower. Moonbyul is red and summer, which is where Egotistic is from the album titled Red Moon. Solar is blue and fall, which is where Windflower is from the album titled Blue;S. Finally, you reacted to this already but Wheein is white and winter, which is where Gogobebe is from the album titled White Wind. So hopefully that helps you understand the vibes of the songs more! It's also interesting lyrically if you listen to the songs in order of Starry Night, Egotistic, Windflower and Gogobebe the development when talking about a loved one/break up. When looking at the big picture, it's a really empowering project they took a hold of and really put a lot of their blood, sweat and tears in. Something you spoke about in each song is that it's so catchy, and it reminded me of something that you should watch (when you have a chance) in understanding Mamamoo as artists rather than idols. Back in 2019 Mamamoo came to the US and were part of K-Con and did an interview with a TH-camr who asked a lot of in-depth questions, which is a refreshing contrast from variety shows in Korea. Funnily enough it is one of those things you mentioned of wanting to dance and in general, an indescribable feeling that just makes a song genuinely good. I would recommend to have the CAPTIONS ON as Moo Moos who are fluent in English and Korean translated what the girls said word for word. They're so eloquent and grounded in their craft, a lot of it got lost in translation (literally lol) and so much of their passion was removed from responses. I know every fan/stan says this about their group, but on my life, Mamamoo is a different breed. They are revered in Korea amongst other artists and famous people (old and new). I've tried getting into k-pop for years and have been listening to so many songs and groups but it just never stuck? But then I discovered Mamamoo and I was like ... what have I been sleeping on? Their willingness to dabble in different styles and their dynamic as a group of artists then as family is so, so unique that I really haven't seen elsewhere, and this is what personally speaks to me that I can connect with. But also.. their fucking voices and ability to harmonize with each other and harmonize with RAP is mindblowing. I'm so glad you're getting to appreciate them like us Moos. If you ever want to know some good shows they've been on that will make you fall harder for them we got your back with the recs :) Anyways, ending this rant: the genuine smile you have when you see Moonbyul on screen is such a mood, 10/10 would recommend falling for her.
The reason why Mamamoo is my favorite girlgroup is because their songs , vocals , MVs , concepts are literally different from other girlgroups. They are UNIQUE 💖 and they deserve more recognition

Starry Night is such a beautifully shot MV. Egotistic is my favorite Mamamoo song and it’s when Solar made herself my bias wrecker.. i could not handle blonde Solar with all of those shots.

the song windflower is about a bad break up hence the "get better day by day" each are playing a stage in that. solar the pain and fresh wound, moonbuyl the loneliness but it hurts less. wheein acceptance and moving on. Honestly windflower just delivers THE best looks, they all look so stunning in that video. Moonbyul's dark brown hair is my favorite, it suits her so well.

Taking into account that they shot the MV of Wind Flower in Hong Kong where I’m from and that Solar wrote the words for Wind and Flower on the mirror in Chinese it gives me the feeling that they are referring to a four-word saying “Wind Flower Snow Moon” which kinda means having fun and living the moment. It also means mundane and is used to described people who only say unimportant things and are avoiding the point.

I think Wind Flower is their most message heavy MV and that comes across even to most of us who don't know what they're saying. I researched it quite a bit and they referenced a lot of old Hong Kong cinema in the video (including LGBTQ rep movies, that shot of Solar and Moonbyul in the car is a direct reference and we know it was on purpose bc they had the movie poster up on one of the walls, I can't remember where exactly) and that level of dedication and artistry is why imo moomoos love Wind Flower :3 Also personally I just really like it when mamamoo sing to me that it'll get better, day by day XD
That song at the end of the Starry Night MV is ‘Be Calm’ and is Hwasa’s solo from the Yellow Flower album. It’s a song she wrote in dedication to her uncle, who passed away around the time was created. He had saw on the news that Mamamoo had gotten into an accident and her parents contacted her a bit later after hearing from her uncle. Her parents told her to call her uncle to let him know she was okay, but she was too busy to call so she couldn’t. And he passed away a few days later so she never got to speak to him again. It’s a really sad story :(

I love Windflower as well. The song and the way Moonbyul rap in her deep voice. On the MV, I love it mainly because it's a homage to Wong Kar Wai films. There are so many easter eggs of his films that incorporated with the MV. From the make up to the clothes to McDonald's.
I squee a little on that Moonsun taxi scene, where Solar leaned her head on Byul's shoulder. It is based on his gay movie called Happy Together. Hwasa is a huge fan of the late Leslie Cheung.

Sorry for the long ramble but I'm loving your videos and genuine reactions to Mamamoo! What I love about Windflower so much is that there's a nostalgic feeling to it. The MVs/songs you watched in order are part of their 4 colours 4 seasons project, where each member gets a season and a colour (the member also has a solo in their respective album).
Hwasa is yellow and spring, which is where Starry Night is from the album titled Yellow Flower. Moonbyul is red and summer, which is where Egotistic is from the album titled Red Moon. Solar is blue and fall, which is where Windflower is from the album titled Blue;S. Finally, you reacted to this already but Wheein is white and winter, which is where Gogobebe is from the album titled White Wind. So hopefully that helps you understand the vibes of the songs more! It's also interesting lyrically if you listen to the songs in order of Starry Night, Egotistic, Windflower and Gogobebe the development when talking about a loved one/break up. When looking at the big picture, it's a really empowering project they took a hold of and really put a lot of their blood, sweat and tears in.
Something you spoke about in each song is that it's so catchy, and it reminded me of something that you should watch (when you have a chance) in understanding Mamamoo as artists rather than idols. Back in 2019 Mamamoo came to the US and were part of K-Con and did an interview with a TH-camr who asked a lot of in-depth questions, which is a refreshing contrast from variety shows in Korea.

Funnily enough it is one of those things you mentioned of wanting to dance and in general, an indescribable feeling that just makes a song genuinely good. I would recommend to have the CAPTIONS ON as Moo Moos who are fluent in English and Korean translated what the girls said word for word. They're so eloquent and grounded in their craft, a lot of it got lost in translation (literally lol) and so much of their passion was removed from responses.
I know every fan/stan says this about their group, but on my life, Mamamoo is a different breed. They are revered in Korea amongst other artists and famous people (old and new). I've tried getting into k-pop for years and have been listening to so many songs and groups but it just never stuck? But then I discovered Mamamoo and I was like ... what have I been sleeping on? Their willingness to dabble in different styles and their dynamic as a group of artists then as family is so, so unique that I really haven't seen elsewhere, and this is what personally speaks to me that I can connect with. But also.. their fucking voices and ability to harmonize with each other and harmonize with RAP is mindblowing. I'm so glad you're getting to appreciate them like us Moos. If you ever want to know some good shows they've been on that will make you fall harder for them we got your back with the recs :)
Anyways, ending this rant: the genuine smile you have when you see Moonbyul on screen is such a mood, 10/10 would recommend falling for her.

Taking into account that they shot the MV of Wind Flower in Hong Kong where I’m from and that Solar wrote the words for Wind and Flower on the mirror in Chinese it gives me the feeling that they are referring to a four-word saying “Wind Flower Snow Moon” which kinda means having fun and living the moment. It also means mundane and is used to described people who only say unimportant things and are avoiding the point.

I think Wind Flower is their most message heavy MV and that comes across even to most of us who don't know what they're saying. I researched it quite a bit and they referenced a lot of old Hong Kong cinema in the video (including LGBTQ rep movies, that shot of Solar and Moonbyul in the car is a direct reference and we know it was on purpose bc they had the movie poster up on one of the walls, I can't remember where exactly) and that level of dedication and artistry is why imo moomoos love Wind Flower :3

That song at the end of the Starry Night MV is ‘Be Calm’ and is Hwasa’s solo from the Yellow Flower album. It’s a song she wrote in dedication to her uncle, who passed away around the time was created. He had saw on the news that Mamamoo had gotten into an accident and her parents contacted her a bit later after hearing from her uncle. Her parents told her to call her uncle to let him know she was okay, but she was too busy to call so she couldn’t. And he passed away a few days later so she never got to speak to him again. It’s a really sad story :(

One solo of wheein that I would absolutely recommend is moderato. It’s a very very good song and a genre I think you would prefer over ballads like goodbye (her ballads are amazing but I think moderato would be a good choice for u👌👌) plus she both wrote and composed it
