It's true, it is the same pitch. Mind you, I had to give these rods a serious tuning, they were originally all over the place and sounded truly hideous. I'd say they turned out quite nice in the end, though.
Very nice sound and from my understanding, as far as triple chime movements go, the most common tunes are "Westminster," "St. Michael" and Whittington." Also, for the benefit and information of you and others who view this, there are actually words for the Westminster chime and they are below if you want to look them over while listening or sing along when it is played in its entirety, which occurs at the 3:32 mark. Lord, through this hour, be Thou our guide. So, by Thy power, no foot shall slide.
@@josephfrye7342 Yep, that's right. Later versions of this clock case were fitted with movements from Hermle or Kieninger instead, as Urgos eventually went out of business, and its machinery and parts were bought out by Hermle. Neither Hermle nor Kieninger offer the Winchester chimes, however... Just the typical Westminster, Whittington, St. Michael triple chime setup.
Some vintage clocks are well worth keeping. This one sounds excellent !
I love the chimes, they remind me of how some of those British haller clocks sound, same tuning of the chime rods.
