@@jb-xm1yi I 'think' they decided that kicking it out would have left time for the lineout and they didn't want to give Auckland a chance to attack before half time. The idea was the clock would be run out by the scrum, kick for touch=half time. Unfortunately that all presupposes your scrum isn't going backwards at a million miles and hour and conceding penalties!
There's been a number of passes which have lead to tries/big territory gains this season that should have been but haven't been scrutinized, NZRU needs to implement a solid base line on this. Cricket, tennis and so on have been using such technology for a while. If we want a genuine champ team, it has to be 100 fairly gauged and judged imo
I'm not sure if he has the all-around talent right now to make it in Europe but that's something he could develop. And his raw skill is so impressive that I think plenty of clubs would be willing to take a punt on him and develop him into an elite winger, at least at club level.

And lam's days at wing for auckland gone?,scoring still at 13,but in blues next year, rieko the 13,so plays wing or maybe midfield backup for rieko and scheck.And rayasi scoring more regularly again,will he come to the blues ever?,or blues want him even,with Clarke be good side,lots of trys?.
