Best reaction. This guy really gets the absurdist humor
I’m actually pretty sure that the mongols that died in a tornado was the origin of the word kamikaze because the Japanese thought that the typhoons were caused by the gods wind (heavenly winds) and thus the word was born.
Yeah, you're right about that.
The Kamikaze attacks in WW2 were also famously kind of terrible but because so few pilots were returning after the tactic was used, Japanese officers didn't know how unsuccessful they were and kept doing it.
The tactic pretty much only served to frighten allied soldiers but even that wasn't worth it because they lost so many pilots and planes.
No...
During the 1st invasion, Mongolians died by “Strong wind” (not typhoon or tornado)
Their army lost to the samurai and took a rest in Tsushima on the way to escape from Japan, where there was a big wind. (Tsushima was occupied earlier and used as a relay point)
It’s same for the 2nd time except that the “Strong Wind” might have been typhoon.

It's also important to remember that there was a catastrophic firebombing campaign that was being conducted by the allied forces on several areas throughout Japan. Higher estimates for the casualties in said campaigns put the casualties of the atomic bombs to shame, with some estimates putting the deaths at 900,000 people. Upwards of 8 million Japanese people were rendered homeless. A further several hundred thousand were injured. I don't say this to claim that using the bombs was a moral decision, however I do think that the tactics of using the bomb as a means to send a message to Emperor Hirohito that he was fighting a losing battle ended up possibly saving a further untold millions people from death and destruction.

The area around Ieyasu Tokugawa's final resting place in Nikko, Japan is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. For people that visit Japan someday, it's about a 3 hour train ride away from Tokyo and it's totally worth the trip if you are into natural beauty as well as old architecture

I actually liked this reaction cause you didn't start going into tangents about other shit half way through the video. I was able to watch the video with you without stopping and also see your genuine reaction. Great video
His face when it showed the two bombs dropping lowkey made me want to cry idk why
He edited it, maybe he laughed during the first part... And he didn't want to go that far with the humor with something so deep and delicate... But still that reaction was even better, I felt the awkwardness of the moment.
but he also laughed

I love your reaction! As a Dutch woman I could tell you enjoyed the jokes yet also invested yourself within the true meaning. Great work handsome!
I remember when I saw this. I first thought this is stupid. Then I laughed hysterically.
