    That building you were saying may of been the town hall was actually the fire department. I’m 30 I’ve lived here all my life but My family’s lived here in cerro gordo for many many years.

    This used to be a booming town, many decades ago. I've lived here all my life. We love the wide open spaces and how quiet everything is. It may not look like much to many, but it's home for us. 🩷

    Cerro Gordo means "Fat Hill" in Spanish.

    Good Saturday morning Mr. Timothy. I've never been to this town. What was your honest impression of Cerro Gordo? Was it clean? Friendly?

    • @TimothyFrench
      @TimothyFrench  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, very friendly. After I had circled the block a couple of times checking out the place, a man stopped painting his house and walked over to where I had parked to see if I need help finding someone’s house.

      @@TimothyFrench That sounds like southern hospitality at it's best, lol. The town looked nice and quiet in your video. It's in Columbus County NC. I wonder if there are any places there for sale or rent?

      I’m not sure. But it would be a town worth checking out.

    A lot of these were once upon a time towns, but I bet the residents that remain prefer it quietly...

    Looks like the town is ready to fold up. Sad to see

      No, the area seemed to be doing well. Rural towns like this don’t need much.
