👍👌👏 2) Yes, you definitely need a steam pressure washer. Or you could feed heated up water into your cheap pressure washer (usually about 60⁰ Celsius is enough to bring good results). That's at least how I do it since decades. Simply because I don't want to deal with a heating oil and electric driven steam pressure washer any more. 2) A really good degreaser (industrial quality) will help too. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to both of you.
Those double hinged hood/bonnets will pinch the crap out of your fingers if you don't pay attention. You two are having way too much fun working on that truck. Great to see you back on it.

It will be good to see the REO get going. They were a great old truck renowned for reliability. It would be nice if you just happened to have a 12 valve Cummins with a 5 speed synchro gearbox lying around to swap into it. Thanks Div, a fun time.

It's always a bad job, anything to do with cold water on a winters day Div. When I was an apprentice, 60 years back, one of the departments I spent time in was a steel rolling mill. At the start of every shutdown for maintenance, the apprentices got to do pressure washing to clean up for the fixes we'd be doing. During the winter shuts I always went for the "steam cleaner" it was warmer, while you were using it, except after you'd finished you were soaked and freezing again. And I was too young to grow a beard😂.Cheers mate. 🦘🦘🦘
I don't know... why is it that every time I watch you and the Barefoot Mechanic work on rigs, I keep finding myself smiling from ear to ear! Love that you let us in on your fun!
Do you know what I like about your posts? No matter how much talent, ability and creativity that you have available, it only comes together with the humour, help and genuine willingness of one's friends, to get involved. What makes it more relative to me, is at 75 yrs old, I restore old speedway cars. I don't have much in tooling, even less in money, but through the friends I have made in our Club, I can achieve my dreams and objectives. Yep, when your friends share the passion, anything is possible! Take care and again, greetings from Perth, Western Australia.
Hey Diff, don't know if they have it where you are but I use ZEP brand industrial degreaser. The stuff is great, if you mix 20oz in a gallon of water and soak the parts in it for a day it will even remove old paint. For normal degreasing mix it 50/50 with water, spray it on and wait 15 minutes and wash off. works wonderful! If you can't find it tell me and I will send u a gallon.
Need some Diesel and a paint brush. Put plastic on floor in and pool shape. Look up the recipe for gunk cleaner. It’s posted. Apply with brush ,sprayer. Cool old truck. Maybe old fire engine one time. Or from the mines. What mileage on the running gear. Lekka Boet Lekka. 👍👍
It's amazing how much work we can actually get done with all the piece of 💩 equipment we have😂. While you guys are freezing it's 35C here in Arizona. Thanks for another great video Diff!

Sometimes people will spray the greasy areas down with oven cleaner . Follow directions on soak time then use the pressure washer to rinse it off . Nice seeing you all having fun and getting something done . 👍👍👍
i got an electric model also. mine is cheap. but it is all i got. so its used to much. yea not long for this life. living as close as i do to the ocean. you have to clean and spray things with oil every year.
