Coming from a Filipino. Even Duterte's term a lot of Filipino don't like China when it comes to WPS conflict. Even when the past administration was distant when the US, majority of the population still don't like China. The current conflict between Duterte and Marcos is more of internal politics, it started with the budget hearing for the Vice President. At first the President was supportive of the big budget request from the Vice President. The House of Representative did not approve the request from VP office because the public was questioning it and the President kept silent after that. The requested budget was Billions and will fall under the "intelligence fund". The public outcry was it will be difficult to audit and why do OVP need such fund. From an outsider point of view, they will see it that the conflict between Marcos and Duterte is because of China and US because the President sides with West and VP is silent on WPS issue. But if they dig dipper, they will understand that is all about the internal political interest of our politicians.

Coming from a Filipino. Even Duterte's term a lot of Filipino don't like China when it comes to WPS conflict. Even when the past administration was distant when the US, majority of the population still don't like China. The current conflict between Duterte and Marcos is more of internal politics, it started with the budget hearing for the Vice President. At first the President was supportive of the big budget request from the Vice President. The House of Representative did not approve the request from VP office because the public was questioning it and the President kept silent after that. The requested budget was Billions and will fall under the "intelligence fund". The public outcry was it will be difficult to audit and why do OVP need such fund. From an outsider point of view, they will see it that the conflict between Marcos and Duterte is because of China and US because the President sides with West and VP is silent on WPS issue. But if they dig dipper, they will understand that is all about the internal political interest of our politicians.

I agree that the biggest threat is people thinking that there are only two choices. In the last presidential election I wanted to vote for another candidate who was performing very poorly in surveys, but felt my vote would only be wasted. I didn't want to Marcos to be in office because of a difference in values and a rejection of history, so I voted for Robredo instead of the politician I wanted in office. one of my regrets as a voter and tax payer is to vote for Marcos Jr. he is the worst politician in the world.. if he can throw away his VP who helped him get into office like trash then what about us simple citizens?

All of these started when Rodrigo Duterte's presidency was about to end. He wanted SARA to run for President but was so disappointed that she ran as VP instead. Then that was the start of him calling BBM names such as "BANGAG" "ADIK" "WEAK LEADER" and such. But during his war on drugs never heard of BBM's name mentioned even once. I even still remember when he was campaining in 2016 for the Presidential elections, he endorsed BBM for VP instead of his running mate Allan Cayetano..
He wanted SARA to run as President, gusto nilang gawing DAVAO ang Pilipinas. He can't accept na tapos na sya as President.. kaya sinisiraan si MARCOS dhil sa Galit nya na dapat ang anak nya sana ang Presidente. 😅😂
