Agency Theory

Agency theory states that in corporate, the management should act in best interest of company’s shareholders who are having ownership in business. It tends to resolve the disputes between the shareholders and management.The term agency refers to the relationship between principals and their agents. Here, management people are considered as agents and shareholders as principals.
