Hard on my old heart that people don't know how popular Bora was. She was was a household name back when sistar was promoting. She's also close with SNSD.
I definitely know that all of the members were really popular and the group was too but unfortunately I only just heard SISTAR in passing before they disbanded 😭 Thanks for letting me know her name though!

I love Bora so much, still one of my ults! I always felt like she wasn’t used properly in Sistar...like even during dance breaks she was rarely front & center!
To this day she is probably the most athletic gg idol in kpop ever! One of my favorite things about Bora was when she guested on season 1 of Invincible Youth because Noh Joohyun brought her in as a ringer for that village field day! Like he knew exactly who he wanted!

Every guy back then had a crush on Bora. Even mr. jay park himself admitted to having a crush on her & that is her ideal type. 😅 She’s so gorgeous, she’s really aging backwards.
SISTAR itself definitely got some bangers too worth listening to like Alone, Give it to Me, I like That, Touch my body, Shake it, etc. (Also Bora is the main dancer/rapper of the group like you predicted)

@@LKTVLKTV no problem, they are known for pulling off the entire sexy concept and summer concept to the max (hence being known as the queens of summer), it's not for everyone but I think you'd probably like more or less all their title tracks honestly they are just really solid for whatever concept they attempt
Yeah Sistar19 is a subunit. The rapper is Bo-ra. She is also a vocalist. Then main vocalist and leader is Hyolyn. The other two members are lead vocalist Soyou and Dasom is vocalist maknae.

Yesssss finally! SISTAR！！ Summer hasn’t been the same since they disbanded.
Sistar, this group was one of the most famous groups in the second generation, there were 4 members Hyolyn, Soyou, Bora and Dasom. The group disbanded in 2017 even though the fans were still cheering for them. Also there wa a sub-group for the main group ( Sistar ) called Sistar19 includes Hyolyn (main vocal) and Bora (main rapper). Now Hyolyn is a solo artist and she has her own company bridʒ, she is considered one of the best singers in Korea and her nickname is Korean Beyonce. Soyou also became a solo artist under Starship Entertainment (Sistar's company). And Bora and Dasom became actresses.

Bora just has that magical something. Hyolyn was the main singer and the best dancer of both Sistar and Sistar19, though Bora was their rapper. It's a pity Sistar19 didn't put out more music and videos, they were the perfect distilled pop & dance duo who had absolutely everything.
Oh yeah, It's been already a long time. I love these songs too. They're just amazing.
For the most exquisite choreo check out Sistar's "Loving U", the studio practice version. Hyolyn's dancing in that is sheer perfection. It also happens to be a perfectly constructed pop tune.

I think the choreographer was the same for both songs, but i could be wrong. I don't remember his name anymore, but he was a big name in the industry too.

I can't remember if this actually a thing or if I'm just imagining it but I want to say they were called SISTAR19 because they had a moremature image, hence the 19?? it's been so long but I feel like that was said at some point lol could be wrong tho
but these were my GIRLS back then, I miss them (SISTAR as a whole) so much. bora was and still is my all time top girl group bias and I'm glad she's still around doing things here and there
