The final music is so amazing.... I still remember as being one of the best musics and with so much feeling...back in the days listening to a guitar in a computer was something really outstanding... the amiga was an incredible machine
I was given this as a birthday present when I was 8! I loved it so much but it was such a hard game, never completed the last level. Good to see a walkthrough!
I gotta find this game to my Amiga 500, again. I played this a lot as a kid back in the early 1990's. I still have Monty Mole, Monty on the Run, and Auf Wiedersehen Monty for my Commodore 64. 😺👍🕹️
Great game. How many hours I've spent with this storie. I passed 4 levels, but Bermuda triangle that was impossible mission for me.... When I look at this longplay now, I can tell You I was very close to the end but I never could "kill" 5-th monster - the Hurricane. It is nice to see a finish, even now... 20 years after...
I recognise the sound effects from the Sega game The Revenge of Shinobi. When a bomb is thrown by Monty it sounds like the grenade sfx on RoS and when a bonus is collected on this game, the 1UP noise from RoS plays. All these games must have had access to similar sfx complilations??
As late as the Mega CD you had this problem with games (Wolfchild for example) - pretty bad really.. Just as well Impossamole is amazing! As a little kid the globally themed levels were an infinite source of amusment!
Wow - I loved this game as a kid!! ^_^ Does anyone know - is it easy to put Amiga "ROMS" onto a floppy if you have the drive? It seems very simple but I wonder if a disc used in a PC will be compatible with an Amiga? That said you can burn games onto CD for other systems so why not floppies? If anyone knows, please give me a shout!
I used to love this, I had the cracked version with the trainer cheat mode so thats proberly why. I tried it with out it and OH MY GOD is it hard. Loved the last level smart bomb where Monty says boo to all the enemy sprites. I noticed u don't use the smart bomb on the last level, it was the spacebar that's proberly why u found it so hard.
You talk the talk, but do you walk the walk. The only Amiga game I want to see completed is Superman Man of Steel from 1988. That game drives me up the wall even now on the Amiga emulator if u compete that your the MAN.
Brilliant platformer and yet another game which was completely destroyed when ported to the consoles. The PC Engine version has nothing to do with this and is absolutely horrible. It always struck me as odd the lack of work that went into ports, especially from Amiga to consoles. Oh well...

Can't believe how I still remember the layout of the levels after all these years...
The nostalgia I feel from hearing the title music on all these games is really like nothing else.
So according to the music I guess its meant to be a sequel / succesor to monty on the run.
when i was young i had this game on atari !!!!! i loved !!!!
Since this game , i don't say "impossible" but "impossamole" :D
Boss 1:Evil Centipede
Boss 2 Chinse Dragon
Boss 3 Possesed Tree
Boss 4 The living icecream
Final Boss Tornado of death
This reminds me a lot of Axel's Magic Hammer. No wonder, since that had the same developer and publisher.
Good game. The final monster is too hard too beat, though.

One of the best tunes composed on the Amiga series! Gameplay was good too but fail to catch my attention (too many of the kind at that time)
the high score theme was my favorite ( at he very end of this video ) .
Whoa, Core Design _and_ Gremlin? Dang, I never knew they worked together on anything. Throw some US Gold in there and its a party!
Bring on the nostalgia.
Reminds me alot of Rick Dangerous! Another awesome Amiga game! ^_^
Those whales on the Ice Land level reminds of something. :)

I remember that being the case too. I'm wondering if it's something specific to cracked versions. Will have to dig out my disks and have a look.
It would do, it was developed by the same company.

the game was next to impossible though
and people says dark souls is a difficult game..
Was this game build using sounds and tilesets from rick dangerous?

WinUAE :-)
I played the Spectrum version, it was virtually monochrome, no music and next to no sound. I couldn't complete it without pokes.
