This is pretty cool. Reminds me of the NXT functionality where, depending on the distance the ultrasonic sensor, the speaker of the NXT would play different notes. However, unlike NXT, spike prime cannot display the actual distance in centimeters or inches, and you'd need to connect it to the computer. Spike prime cannot display the actual value of a sensor.

Does it have to charge via a PC? Can you charge it with a USP plug you plug directly into an electrical outlet?
And how many hours do you need to get a full charge on hub battery?
If all else fails and the hub is not charged, can you plug into an electrical outlet while using it and be able to get it working for at least stationary coding activities?

Hi! We have charged using electric outlet without any issues, it takes around an hour. We found that if it is completely drained, then trying to operate while being charged doesn’t work well. Motors don’t get enough power to run. Garry

Great video! Thank you! I'm a physics teacher...and I'm trying to use spike prime sensors for physics experiments. But there is a small problem. The force sensor only gives discrete values of 1, 2, 3 Newtons, etc. up to 10. Could you help me with the settings of the sensor to get continuous values if possible?

Hi! You can use the reading “force percentage “ which gives a more granular reading between 0-100%. Good luck! Garry

@@CreatorAcademyAustralia Thanks! Unfortunately, we also only get discrete percentage values: 10%, 20%, 30%... I don't understand why... Do you "see" continuous values?
