Simply put YES, Victory was the best American made motorcycle, and Polaris was wrong for dropping it. I have an 07 Kingpin at 6'6" it is the only "cruiser" motorcycle that fits me
I had an 09 Kingpin, loved it. I just bought a 2014 Jackpot, love it. I think they went with Indian because it has the name with heritage. I looked at a few indians and it's crazy how many parts are the same.
I have a 2001 v92 I bought two months ago as my first bike. It’s not the prettiest, fastest, or easiest to handle out there, but dammit, I love this freaking bike. It’s reliable, fun, and I bought it for $2k. Nobody else has to like it. I’m having a blast using it as my daily ride.
I'm 70 and started with a 1948 Harley Panhead when I was 16 and rode Harleys for 49 years and got tired of Taiwan and Chinese parts failing and the poor Harley design so 5 years ago switched to a 2007 Victory Kingpin. My Victory is ALOT better than any Harley I ever rode. I've heard the same from several Victory riders who also switched to Victory from Harley.
My favorite thing about Victory is that they weren’t trying to clone a Harley. And they made great bikes. It is a crying shame that they couldn’t sell more motorcycles. I heard somewhere that in 2012 they sold between 10k and 12k bikes, total. Harley sold 250k that same year. The thing that made them awesome is, unfortunately, probably the same thing that killed them, their uniqueness and originality.
Years ago i ran into a guy who’s brother is a victory engineer. Polaris has zero plans dropping the victory name because they lose the engineers. They are still on Polaris’ payroll. We see that now today with the Indian challenger and scout rogue
I had a 2002 TC Deluxe with the V92 Engine and absolutely loved it. A german shepherd decided to run between the front tire and frame of the bike while riding through some "open range" in the Rockies and it was totaled. I absolutely loved the sound of that bike in the mountains! My 06 Kingpin is sounding good too though.
I just rented a 2022 Road glide put 500 miles on it in Colorado. Rode my 2013 Cross Country when I got back it week. I can say the Harley wasn't bad but my Victory is right there on power and ride. The Harley had all the bells but other then that I'll take the Victory. Also only paid 9k for my Cross country compared to the Harley was 30k.
@Bantham Nobilis educate yourself, corp greed killed victory. They wanted a name that could compete with Harley, So "victory's" are still being made, just under the Indian name.
I ride a 13 Highball every single day, and something about them just feels more well put together. Lower vibration than a lot of the Harleys, amazing torque, and just looks amazing stock. Such a great company. I’d bring them back if I could.
Loving this video. I own a 2013 XCountry Tour performance loaded and a 2016 Vegas factory performance. 42 years of riding, I love my bike's. I'll never go back. I'll die owning and riding my Victory's. "No Rice, No Pork, Just all Beef!" Victory Motorcycles. Love that King Pin, it'll just love you back all day, every day!
I had a Victory. Made a big mistake and sold it :( Was a 2012 Z Ness edition vegas 8 ball. Sexiest, smoothest riding beast I've ridden. It was so fun to ride and made me FEEL LIKE A MAN.
I have a 2011 Jackpot Extreme and the only thing I've had to do to it was air filter, oil filter, oil, tires and lube the clutch assemble. Oh and after 9 years the battery finally bit the dust. Closest thing to a chopper that I've had even thou at slow in town speeds that fat 250 back tire is a pain in the butt. Was thinking about trading for a Triumph Bonneville until I just recently found out that they are now made in Thailand. Oh well I'm still happy with the Vic and the is never a day that when I pull into some place on this bike people come up to look at it and comment of it. Even had a Harley mechanic ride it and he said it was one hell of a nice ride. Mines not blacked out it has from the factory a wild paint job and tons of chrome. I have been waiting to see you do a review on Victorys - Thanks.
Thanks so much for all the info and help you’ve given me Sean and Caleb! I’m buying my first motorcycle tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited! 2015 Victory Gunner!
Right after this video was made, I bought the bike from SRK Cycles, and had it shipped to Texas. The bike is great, and I get compliments on it all the time. It is a blast to ride. Sean didn't do a 0 to 60 on it, but I can tell you from experience that this bike halls ass.
yes neutral is hard to get. A True Machine. my +40 yrs of riding says it is a super great bike. I purchased a 2008 victory vision tour 2 yrs ago. 18000 miles adjustable windshield, fog lights, heated seats and grips, mono air shock, biggest trunk ever, all the stuff the new indian has at 1/4 price. if your tall 6'2"this is the bike to get. VICTORY FOREVER.
Victory is still years ahead of what is now on the market, Indian included . The Cross Series remains the real new American bagger. The Indian Challenger is nothing else than a Vic rebranded, 'cause most people want " the Brand".
Have a 2011 Cross roads.... it's an amazing Machine. The Challenger is essentially the Cross Country. The Octane was the test pilot for the Scout. Either way I understand why Polaris did it.... I just wished they would have
Have a 2012 HighBall and I will never sell it. It always get complements and rides amazing. Has never let me down and has been waaaaaaay more reliable than several Harleys I’ve owned.
I don’t need to watch your video... I own and have owned most the major brands for the better part of 35 years. The answer to the title of the video is YES! Victory is the best bike in my opinion based on extensive riding, repairing, and traveling experiences.
The size of the engine wasn't what made the Victory more powerful than the HD. Over head cams are more efficient than push rods. There's just less power lost because of rotational direction change. Also the Vics always had 4 valve heads which gave 50% more valve area. a Vic 106 will run with or out run a Harley 110.
I inherited a 2005 Kingpin, Arlen Ness, 92 ci, with only 596 miles on it. So I just had fuel pump rebuilt, new pressure regulator, new in tank filters, new engine oil and filter, new battery. Bike had sat in climate control shop under cover. Completely back up now. I’m probably going to sell it. It does ride well. Completely different feel then a 2007 HD soft tail, my other bike. Very nimble and snappy feeling.
True, best quality, best reliability, best riding experience, and you look and feel awesome on it. Been riding for 40 years, nothing is even close. Bonus, straight pipes on them sound incredible, they make Harleys look/sound/feel like a Barbie tricycle.
I have an '08 Kingpin with 90,000km on it.. Best handling and most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Great on long trips, very powerful and the transmission clunks loud and strong as you shift giving a feeling of being over-engineered. A pity they fell out of favour, but I guess the bike buying market prefers the Harley/Indian look to the swooping custom look that Victory put out.
I just got (Oct 2020) a 2000 Victory V92SC Sport Cruiser with 485 actual miles on it. I took it to my local Polaris - Indian dealer and had 6 recalls repaired. I can’t wait for the snow to melt, so I can start riding. I was only able to put about 15 miles in it when I purchased it.
Hi Jason. Could you share more info about that? I got my 2000 V92C with 8 miles on it. I just wondering how that's possible to do recalls on such old bike? Thanks in advance.
@@R92-s7e they were able to do the recalls at a Polaris - Indian dealership for me. You might be able to look the recalls up with your vin # on the Polaris website. However, I got rid of the bike and got an Indian scout. I got scared away from the 3rd gear problems failing and wanted to sell it before that happened. I really liked the V92SC though.
Just sold my 2007 Victory Kingpin....44,000 KM and no issues at all....change oil and tires....that's it. Great bikes!! I'm going to miss my bike for sure!
I had a 2012 8 ball Hammer, and currently ride a 2013 Antifreeze green Cross Country. I bought both of them brand new and love the quality. I only got rid of the Hammer because the XC is so much more comfortable.
I think youre wrong about the v92c. Its a Great looking bike. Problems. Yeah they have tps issues and the throttle body boot can dry rot. But thoes are your only Problems you'll face.
I have a 201 Cross Roads 106 and I absolutely love the bike. It's comfortable, TONS of power and outpulls my HD 110 any day. I also love that it has factory electric cruise and heated grips and was over 10k less new than my Dyna was. I love the bike and wish Polaris would bring them back.... But my next will be an Indian
The 99 to 01 had trans issue. The 02 was intermediate and 03 was the start of the perfect Victory. The V92 stayed with the TC to 06, the CC ended in 03. Having owned three, I liked them all. Still have 2 03’s: Vegas and CC. Little side note, that KP is stock engine, better if you do the upgrade to Stage 1. That passenger backrest was for the Vegas.
Absolutely love my '16 Magnum but I'm seeing problems in finding customizing parts. For example forged highway bars, which I can't find anywhere and many chrome bits. Too bad, best bike I've ever owned but I'm afraid it may slide into obscurity.
Had a Judge in my crosshairs but couldn't afford one when new. Now that i could they are no longer and trying to find one used here in Australia, i'd have more chance of finding a pork chop in a mosque. One i'll have to miss out on.
Got 2000 Victory sport cruiser odometer stopped working years ago everything else works fine my bike would never be mistaken for a Harley i ride almost every day Never any leaks just love it
Hi guys! I am from Singapore and just got a 2015 Victory Highball. Amazing bike! Loving it! Only question i have is who do i go to for ordering parts? Many thanks and looking forward 😃🙏
I love my V92C Victory except it is not as customizable as a HD. Now, finding parts has gotten difficult. Took me the better part of a year to get all the parts needed to rebuild my forks. Maybe new model Victory bikes are better.
The new Indian Challenger has a whole lot of Victory built into it (IMHO). From the aluminum frame to the inverted forks to the next Gen cross country motor, etc... They can talk about how it's not a Victory, but that is VERY similar to the motor that was leaked as the next Gen Vic Motor.. IF it was truly an Indian motor, it would have had push rods.. Bit if it is a performance Bagger, then it has the soul of a Victory.
I used to have an AIH Ranger w/ a 107cu.in. S&S that I used to really like until it sat more than being ridden because of the issue after issue it had. I now own a 2013 Victory Boardwalk. It's a reliable great running cruiser.
Yes, Victory is the best made American motorcycle. I'm the original owner of a 2005 Hammer. Only had to replace tires and brake pads. I've also recently purchase a 2016 CCT. I'll keep riding Victory's until something better is made.
I have mixed feelings on Polaris killing the brand, on the one hand I loved the bikes they were making and would have loved to seen what they’d do in the future, on the other hand I love the price I paid for my Vegas😃
I bought a 2016 Victory High Ball with 2,000 miles on it last summer. I paid $7,000. You can not tell me it'll rocket in value in twenty years. I love it though, so good luck naming a price!!
Nice video. It was like riding the bike myself. Good feedback on the bike. And just enough sound from the exhaust to keep me from missing riding in the winter. I love my 07 KP. Oh, and the power. Nothing like twisting the throttle and feeling the torque push you into the seat.
Any honest dealer will tell you brand only make major profits from service and parts.... Victory Doesn’t require much service and certainly doesn’t require much in parts. So.... there you have it.
I love my 2015 Magnum. Easy to ride, plenty of power, and crazy reliability. I hope to God the aftermarket jumps on making standard parts for these bikes, as they last forever! Wish Indian would've put the technology from the Victory in the new Indians, but they went with the more maintenance requiring pushrod motors so they can sell more as replacement more often will be necessary.
I do hope Victory comes back, so interesting cruisers. I also would like for Yamaha to start making the Raider again and build it worldwide, not only USA.
I owned a victory Jackpot and they are the best American made bike imo it is to bad polaris discontinued them i really think they were kind of overlooked or something they are great bikes.
Let's face it Indian is Victory. Polaris didn't throw out all that R&D and future plans because of a name change. I have 3, classic (yes V92, 57k and no problems!), hammer and cross country. Along the way they all evolved for the better. A little salty over the change but Polaris still produces bad ass quality products.
I own a cross country 8 ball and a road glide custom...my victory is a little more plain Jane looks wise than the Harley but that victory has a lot more power and it runs much much cooler and smoother than my glide
My dad has the 05 kingpin 50th anniversary edition, and he’s trying to get a new Vulcan 900 Classic LT. he doesn’t hate the bike but he feels like it isn’t his and he really can’t customize it
Parts are only available 10 years from the model year of the bike. Many owners are having trouble with their speed sensors and the sensors have been discontinued. They offer. No other option to correct this problem. Will never purchase a polaris product again.Especially a Indian! Motorcycle!
I've got a stage 4 modified sport cruiser all machine work 102.7 cubic inches 1661 cc 21 years old not one drop of oil or leak to this day 112 hp 118 ft torque 11.2:1 compression reeves to 6250 rpms almost 10 pounds of rotating mass removed from crank over size intake valves power commander 49 mm throttle body will never sell 3 first place trophys and one 3 rd place but that show had no bike category so they put me in the custom car class
I had Harley got my self 2000 victory v92sc great but parts hard to fine. I want newer victory with 6 speed. Love how victory has the air filter front of the engine unlike everyone else on the side.
So do I; the Victory line was so uniquely different than H.D. I feel, personally, that Indian is way too much Harley-esque in appearance. Victory was the uniquely different American!
Me too, but the problem is they couldn't keep up with Indian production orders and they were struggling to sell all the Vic's. I hated to see them go, but it simply made financial sense for Polaris to do it. Also, Semper Fidelis.
I looked at a few indians and it's crazy how many parts are the same.
..hate the Indian...small bikes..ugh✌
I have an 06 8ball and I miss my bigger m109r.
I'm 6'8 and customized a hammer with the kingpin seat and +4" forward controls. Fits me like a glove.
Kawasaki vulcan 2000 would fit you well as well
I have a 2001 v92 I bought two months ago as my first bike. It’s not the prettiest, fastest, or easiest to handle out there, but dammit, I love this freaking bike. It’s reliable, fun, and I bought it for $2k.
Nobody else has to like it. I’m having a blast using it as my daily ride.
I got the 92 onmy vegas. Does yours tick? Its got me really scared but ive read alot for forums that they all tick
Just bought a 2002 v92 today sight unseen. I hope you're right, but I'm sure you're right!
35000 miles, just changed the oil, tires, and one set of fork seals. Love the bike great power. 2013 Vegas 8 Ball.
I have a 2000 v92c and absolutely love it. Not cool to talk trash about other people's bikes .
I absolutely loved the sound of that bike in the mountains! My 06 Kingpin is sounding good too though.
I'm buying my first vic next month 05 kingpin ness 75/100 looking forward to it

The Harley had all the bells but other then that I'll take the Victory. Also only paid 9k for my Cross country compared to the Harley was 30k.
Why yes Sean it is (was) the best America made motorcycle and gone wayyyy to soon. A damm shame.
@Bantham Nobilis educate yourself, corp greed killed victory. They wanted a name that could compete with Harley, So "victory's" are still being made, just under the Indian name.
My dads first Victory went 140k before the Speedo quit. The bike is still rolling the streets of Murrells Inlet SC.
Is suck bang blow and the beaver bar still there?
My dads vision has 210k and it’s still a runner, he passed last month so now I’ll be riding it.
I ride a 13 Highball every single day, and something about them just feels more well put together. Lower vibration than a lot of the Harleys, amazing torque, and just looks amazing stock. Such a great company. I’d bring them back if I could.

I had a Victory. Made a big mistake and sold it :(
Was a 2012 Z Ness edition vegas 8 ball. Sexiest, smoothest riding beast I've ridden. It was so fun to ride and made me FEEL LIKE A MAN.
I was at a Victory/Indian test ride day a few years ago and if I had the money, I'd have ridden one home. They were a perfect bike
I still have a 08 Victory. Still one of my favorite bikes. Haven't had any issues with it and love to ride it.
I have been waiting to see you do a review on Victorys - Thanks.
Picking up a 15 Gunner today, so this video has to be sign that I'm making the right choice.
Brendan Jewels I loved my Victory Gunner. All around best performing bikes I’ve owned. I put a street glide fairing on it, bad ass.
Haha fanboying victory videos before the purchase? I did the same thing when I bought my high ball last summer. Excellent bike.
I’m getting a Vegas in 2 weeks
Hows it going brendan?
Thanks so much for all the info and help you’ve given me Sean and Caleb! I’m buying my first motorcycle tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited! 2015 Victory Gunner!
Right after this video was made, I bought the bike from SRK Cycles, and had it shipped to Texas. The bike is great, and I get compliments on it all the time.
It is a blast to ride. Sean didn't do a 0 to 60 on it, but I can tell you from experience that this bike halls ass.
I had to paint a damaged gas tank for one of those. What a blast recreating that body line!!
Ride an 09 Victory Vegas 8 Ball for the last 7 years. Love it and never had a problem with it ever and its my daily driver. Best motorcycles ever.
yes neutral is hard to get. Victory is the best bike in my opinion based on extensive riding, repairing, and traveling experiences.
Victory Vegas Jackpot colors! That green one with white wings! Love it!
I own a Victory V92C 2003. Been an absolutely excellent bike!
I just got a 2013 cross county and I absolutely love it! Polaris messed up by getting rid of victory.

My 80" Moto Guzzi Audace will easily outrun the 110 Harley. I also owned a 110 Slim.

Is a kingpin a good bike for me I’m 6’4” 205lbs
True, best quality, best reliability, best riding experience, and you look and feel awesome on it. Been riding for 40 years, nothing is even close. Bonus, straight pipes on them sound incredible, they make Harleys look/sound/feel like a Barbie tricycle.

I had a 2002 Victory TC Deluxe that I still miss today when riding my 2003 Harley RK.
Used to have a 75 shovelhead. Was on my way to buy a Road King Classic. Test rode the Kingpin Deluxe. 2006. Bought it. Love it.
I just got (Oct 2020) a 2000 Victory V92SC Sport Cruiser with 485 actual miles on it. I took it to my local Polaris - Indian dealer and had 6 recalls repaired.

The Victory Kingpin is one of my favorite motorcycles and also the Yamaha Road Star
2004 Victory Vegas 65,000+ miles... Love the bike even if it doesn't have any guts. Thanks for the video and God Bless!
Just sold my 2007 Victory Kingpin....44,000 KM and no issues at all....change oil and tires....that's it. Great bikes!! I'm going to miss my bike for sure!
Most Victory guys will swear the Kingpin is the best bike they built!👍🏼
Nope cross country
No, the jackpot is
I had a 2012 8 ball Hammer, and currently ride a 2013 Antifreeze green Cross Country. I bought both of them brand new and love the quality. I only got rid of the Hammer because the XC is so much more comfortable.
I love my kingpin
Leaking oil?? I'm sorry but I am not familiar with that term ...I own a Victory.
I think youre wrong about the v92c. Its a Great looking bike. Problems. Yeah they have tps issues and the throttle body boot can dry rot. But thoes are your only Problems you'll face.
I love Victory and will own one someday, they do have a heat problem but i don't care, they look so awesome, thanks for video, your the man !

My Hammer 100 inch is the most beautiful and reliable motorcycle I’ve ever ridden in its class.
There are no competitors for my bike
I was going to buy a harley until I heard the noise and look of a victory vegas. Mine had the thor 2 to 1 exhaust and it makes the ground rumble.
Sorry for blowing up your comments but I respect you Sean for riding in this weather. I almost went out riding but I don’t think I’m going to.
I love my V92C Victory except it is not as customizable as a HD. Now, finding parts has gotten difficult. Took me the better part of a year to get all the parts needed to rebuild my forks. Maybe new model Victory bikes are better.
To bad you don't have a shop here in South Africa I would've definitely come to you for my first bike
Where did you get that driver backrest I can find one for my vegas 8 ball do they even make one?
2011 Vegas, my first bike I got this year. 45 years old 6'4", forward controls, Highball mini apes - perfect fit! I love my Victory!
06 victory vegas. My only complaint is the noisy engine. Other then that bike always runs like a dream and has never giving me any problems.
The new Indian Challenger has a whole lot of Victory built into it (IMHO).

Boardwalks are really sweet bikes.
My first street bike was a Victory Hammer, after I got hit on it I traded it for an XC!!! I love Victory!!! I had the cam party special done by KevinX
Yes, Victory is the best made American motorcycle. I'm the original owner of a 2005 Hammer. Only had to replace tires and brake pads. I've also recently purchase a 2016 CCT. I'll keep riding Victory's until something better is made.
owner of a 2005 Hammer.
Just got a 2010 jackpot with 8800 miles. It’s a work of art.
Came this close to buying a Kingpin, but went with an '07 Heritage Classic instead. Very impressed with the Victory.
Please do 0 to 60 on the Victory.
I have mixed feelings on Polaris killing the brand, on the one hand I loved the bikes they were making and would have loved to seen what they’d do in the future, on the other hand I love the price I paid for my Vegas😃
Looking at a 2004 kingpin .Does it have the 92c motors in it?? Bike has 15000 miles on it asking price is 3500
I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove my Victory!
I bought a 2016 Victory High Ball with 2,000 miles on it last summer. I paid $7,000. You can not tell me it'll rocket in value in twenty years. I love it though, so good luck naming a price!!
Seriously considering buying one of these! Thanks for the video!
Going to look at an octane tomorrow, a lil worried I won’t be able to get parts for it. But I think I’m gonna make an offer regardless
They only made 4000 and they share some parts with the Indian Scout. So that shouldn't be a big issue. Did you buy it?
Nice video. It was like riding the bike myself. Good feedback on the bike. And just enough sound from the exhaust to keep me from missing riding in the winter. I love my 07 KP. Oh, and the power. Nothing like twisting the throttle and feeling the torque push you into the seat.
Have you done a review on the Vegas 8ball? I have an 07
Any honest dealer will tell you brand only make major profits from service and parts....
Wear any Levi’s jeans in particular, leather chaps or a leather biker greaser jacket??
You would’ve made an awesome Victory dealer, look at how many you’ve sold!
Id like to ride one, i seen the 8-ball at a dealership once but it was over my price range at the time.
We are a Polaris indian dealer alot of the parts is discontinued
Let's face it Indian is Victory. Polaris didn't throw out all that R&D and future plans because of a name change. I have 3, classic (yes V92, 57k and no problems!), hammer and cross country. Along the way they all evolved for the better. A little salty over the change but Polaris still produces bad ass quality products.
owned a Yamaha also a Harley-Davidson now an 05 kingpin and by far yes best bike i ever owned ( and it don't leak oil at all no pun intended)
I have 2006 Kingpin and love it .
I have an 03 Vegas. I need options! I’m a brand new rider! SRK ROCKS! Js
I own a cross country 8 ball and a road glide custom...my victory is a little more plain Jane looks wise than the Harley but that victory has a lot more power and it runs much much cooler and smoother than my glide
Did the make a bike like the v-rod? I'd like one, but I'd like a fast one! Any suggestions?
I'm in the UK
Octane. Roughly the same power-to-weight ratio, and nearly the same 0-60 time.
Motorcycle!
You can buy a universal speed sensor for $27...
My USA made Fury, love it and hi from DownUnder🇦🇺
I've got a stage 4 modified sport cruiser all machine work 102.7 cubic inches 1661 cc 21 years old not one drop of oil or leak to this day 112 hp 118 ft torque 11.2:1 compression reeves to 6250 rpms almost 10 pounds of rotating mass removed from crank over size intake valves power commander 49 mm throttle body will never sell 3 first place trophys and one 3 rd place but that show had no bike category so they put me in the custom car class
Harley doesn't have them problems anymore? Why do they still have an almost 30 percent catastrophic failure rate vs victory/indians 17?
what's the use of buying a victory...my former victory current yamaha dealer told me to not buy one
I had Harley got my self 2000 victory v92sc great but parts hard to fine. I want newer victory with 6 speed. Love how victory has the air filter front of the engine unlike everyone else on the side.
this guy has a lot of good videos. this one may be of interest to you

@@manuelrivera6873 vic shop has good videos
What year did Arlen Ness get involved in the designs?
Yes love my 8-ball. They’re just so perfect.
I see the Victory fairing designs on the latest/new Indians. Sad; I wish they were still two separate companies. :-(
So do I; the Victory line was so uniquely different than H.D.
