Make sure when disposing of pain patches that you fold them in on themselves and put them in a closed container, not the regular garbage.

@@thatnursingprof2661 I havea question Maam. I use a transdermal patch (for pain Ill refrain from brand etc) it says to put it on upper arm torso or back.
why cant I put it on my leg or forearm?

@@seinfeld11123 your skin is thicker and thinner on various parts of the body which can effect absorption. Some companies recommend putting patches on the back some say the hip it really all depends. The instructions on the patch tell you what the manufacturer thinks is the most accurate way to use their product.

@@thatnursingprof2661 the issue is I'm basically Chewbacca , on chest torso and back. whereas my forearm and thigh area not so much.
I do put the patches on my upper arm. but I have to wear 2 at a time. so after a week my arms are used up so to speak . I have to cover them with tegaderm cause they don't stick for the 3 adays for me. so I need to rotate 1 0r 2 more spots. and the thigh and forearm is best. they also don't change shape with movement. my shoulders and arms change shape as I move t which make the patch move and stretch. which makes it loose its stickiness
