The original dance of pangalay is not like this. This is modern. The foot and the graceful of shoulder and hand gesture must be emphasized and the movement should be done smoothly with energy and attitude. You can see them in Tausug people who lives in Jolo. They are great for this kind of dance.

The title is misleading… should only be paunjay… A true pangalay will make you fall in love with the dancer…😊😊😊 sexiest folk dance I’ve seen as performed by a Tausug and a Badjao classmates back to back in Zamboanga a long time ago… They were like the olden princesses of the of the south…

Nasisira nyo po kultuta ng mga Tausug and kulintangan iis one of theiir traditional dance that represents their culture, history and custom ... Yes! Po mam alam ko di ako bulag description na nag sasaad dyan na sayaw ng yakan e bakit a title tausug ang nakalagay. Isa po akong YAKAN at alam ko ang sayaw ng tribo nmin wala po ganyang sayaw sa mga yakan tribes of basilan only TUMAHIK (war dance) lamang po ang saya ng yakan.
