    • @isaiahayers1550
      @isaiahayers1550 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's totally understandable. For one, as someone who's learning Spanish, it's so mentally exhausting when you're speaking a new language since you're constantly focusing hard on what others are saying, trying to remember words and conjugation, etc. When you get a break and get to go back to speaking your native language it's so much easier. Plus, as humans we love the unexpected and we love to connect with others. Hearing a white/black American speaking an Asian language fluently is super rare and gives an irresistible urge to want to find out about them and to find things in common and kind of push their limits to see what they can do. It's natural.

    Its so fascinating how your personality changes when you speak a different language.
    You kinda adapt the cultural behaviour when speaking another language atleast for expressions and gestures.
    Its crazy :)

    I also live in New York City and am learning Mandarin for about one year so far. These videos are inspiring. But really interesting how as I advance in Chinese I understand more and more of the conversations and details

    I'm neither USA citizen, neither native speaker, neither anyhow related to speaking Mandarin, but it's just so freaking satisfying to listen to Xiaoma speak, that i keep coming back for those videos daily :D Good thing youtube randomly suggested this content :D
