Hi Ben, I want to thank you for the tour of your shop , especially the wood cabinet , a while back. That has given me some good ideas of how to store my scale material. I made a set of Junior Skinners with Ipe scales that I thought were bone dry, but alas they shrank ever so slightly and have exposed a very small relief of the tang. This is not a problem since it is an even relief all the way round and appears to be intentional and it gives a slight bit of "gription" to the handle. any way since seeing your wood cabinet I plan to construct a similar cabinet for my wood. Thanks again for wonderful videos.

Awesome insight into your days highlights, including the "knifemaker" hands we both know and appreciate...I had some Lignum Vitae gifted to me from Steve Nowacki, utterly gorgeous tones, the piece waited patiently until one day I made my own blade, and wow what a wood! All the best to you and Lois as we head into the summer!

I got a piece of lignum vitae as a replacement for some desert ironwood that cracked shortly after shipping, it was amazing stuff, funky smell too, would love some more.
That breathing rig looks impressive, care to review it?

i remember a woodwork lesson where i received a smack on the head from the woodwork teacher for trying to hand plane a piece of lignum vitae. is it not THE hardest wood known?

Hey Ben. How long is your waiting list on the Nomad? How long from ordering to getting the knife?
