    Matts Blazer was Such a Beauty back in the day, tell he got that itch to take it Rock Crawling Texas Style!! I have watched this Blazer become what it is today and i gotta say it is one of my all time favorites rigs crawling around the trails of Texas. Equipped with the perfect combo of a nv4500 and Doubler along with Propane and crazy spring swap 56 and 52 up front. This bad boy can crawl anywhere you want to take it and some.. Still have love for K5 but I now have a K30 crew cab dually, and I'm loving it. 60, 70, SM465, 205, 4:56 with 19.5 wheels. Javier people will talk crap when they have no idea what they are talking about. There are Jeep people, then there are people like use that use real full size 4X4's to wheel.

    Sweet! Mine suspension is the same way! The 52 front Kit, DIY4X Rear shackle flip, BUT i also have a block under it for more height! for now she is mainly in mud down here in Florida, but one day have dreams of Double case or even magnum box. Also, i would like to know if the dana 70 was originally a DRW or SRW? thanks bro, Keep up the footage of the k5's!!

    • @FLSTF87
      @FLSTF87 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would guess likely from a DRW. My 81 K30 dual is the same set up, kingpin 60 steer axle/ 70 HD rear. I guess the Corporate-14's didn't come with 10,000 GVW rating like the 70 HD with 4" axle tubes and larger carrier bearings.

    The thing about these Chevy trucks is that they're wide she going down Jeep trails.
    New truck on a trail and maybe a first time drive down those trails, no one thinks the would be reckless enough to chew their body up; however, they always do it and it always happens!
    Matt could have spent a little money getting some custom rock slider body panels fabricated to protect that old K5. It's always cheaper to put it on than to ever pull out.
    I have an 85 K5 with a built LS and luckily, she's only seen mud on 39.5's before I got her with my engine coming out of a 10's strip Camaro with no off-road runs. Really sad to see just how far he'd gone with it because that truck prior to the sliding was worth more than some new trucks nowadays. Easily was a 30k K5 in today's market! That body work wasn't that bad, but now it is...

    @javier padron Have you used a shackle flip lift and lift springs in series ??? Curious to see how people like it. I have a completely original 86 k20 id like to lift 8”. And I wondering about using a 4” shackle flip and 4” lift springs for the rear. Looking for thoughts on that

    • @JavierPadron
      @JavierPadron  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      YZWELDER555 hey buddy it will work but not goid on stiff springs. Shackle flips are for longer spring that got alot of length when laying flat, the longer shackle follows it and allows more flexing.

  • @rolandchristoph4742
    @rolandchristoph4742 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is the shackle flip kit mounted backwards to accomodate the 56" springs? What is the shackle length?

    You are lucky you actually made it through this video. The guy spotting you and running the camra cause a lot of damage. He high centered you and cause damage to you rig that was completely avoidable! The bent steering cross link cause by not turning to the driver side on that bolder and telling to to turn the wrong way and dropping your front pinion and drive shaft on that same bolder when he had you back up and turn the wrong way yet again. I will bet it did some damage to the front pinion and shaft. No offence to the camra man but please stick to filming or spotting, not both!
