I have seen so many guides on the perfect suit but this video tops them all. Such an interesting and comprehensive guide especially with the choice of materials
Terrific video. Simple, and to the point. He mentioned, toward the end of the video, the difference between off the rack and bespoke suits. What he neglected to mention is the best of both worlds. And that would be the made to measure suit. It's as close to bespoke as you can get without the 10K price. Besides, there aren't to many people who can tell the difference.
This is an awesome video. So much great information! I don't have a deep closet of dress clothes so this is amazing advice on how to build the perfect suit for every occasion.
Great video. I really like the idea of 1-button placed slightly lower than the traditional two-button top location. I agree with the comments questioning the omission of vent selection. Perhaps it's just assumed that double vent is the way to go. I would ditch the side adjusters on the trousers and just go with braces (i.e. suspenders).
The only thing not mentioned is canvas choice . Full canvas / half canvas or No canvas options ? It would be a nice touch to understand how each is made and influences the fitting styling of the suit
This is lowkey high key one of the most informative and helpful videos ive ever watched and im a woman. Lol. I just have an allergy to bad suits and now i know how NOT to get there
It's ironic that the people who can afford a high quality well made suit are the least likely to own only one suit. But an excellently informative video nonetheless.
My dream to finally afford a bespoke tailored suit. I now have an step by step guidance for a lifetime suit. I can now control what I want without feeling out of my League and over my head. I printed this and will follow each steps. Thanks! now to save for it
Meh. A suit should be functional. If I'm warm I'll leave it unbuttoned. If I am chilly, I'll button one button. If I'm cold? Both buttons. Functionality IS fashion.

I agree with one caveat, his personal opinion of what he likes or chooses is irrelevant!
I knew Christopher Nolan could make movies, but now he also makes perfect suits? Awesome.
😂🤣
Flawlessly explained! 10/10
Very thorough. And systematic. A worthwhile primer on the key points of suiting.
That's quite helpful, I was going to research all this to buy one soon anyway

I just found a new deep appreciation for suits, I hope to own a couple of nice suits one day

Great video. Can't wait to visit you guys to get measured up!
Great video, this guy is the real deal 💪
Wow, best educational video ever on materials, thank you! :-) (I am a woman :-))
Nothing about single vs double vs no vent? I prefer double vent because I tend to walk with my hands in my pockets, plus it looks better while sitting
I agree. The exception for me would be a tuxedo (no vent) or if I’m going for a specific country/prep style on a sport coat.
Very informative, thank you.
Excellent! So helpful!
Excellent breakdown
Very nice video,very comprehensive
Very interesting video! Thanks
Great advice 👍

So what was the weave type ? You said Medium weight is that 240GSM to 290GSM? Full canvas ?half canvas ? shoulder type ? double vent, etc. Thanks !
Wow, you really schooled this guy who owns The Cad and Dandy. You know much more than him
Excellent presentation! I’d like to know where his shop is because after watching this, he’s the tailor I’d want to make me two suits. 👍🏻
This is some really valuable content!
Ugh, I want one suit like that for the rest of my life.
The only thing not mentioned is canvas choice . Full canvas / half canvas or No canvas options ?

But is it single or double vent??
Double vent for me always...
This is like watching the business card scene in American Psycho

Price would be out of reach for most people but still a great investment

It's amazing what minutia rich people can obsess about
But I'm still watching! 😂
Great suit but a bit vanilla though
I’ve managed to get to my advanced age without a blue suit. I don’t expect that to change any time soon
Ehhh I would have chose grey more versatile
If double breasted suits were invented today, formal wear aficionados like this guy would be absolutely disgusted.
*Martini not included
2:16 it almost sounds like he said “‘unlike’ the people of Italy…”
