As you may already know, Angelbird and Kondor Blue released together a recording module for iPhone 15 Pro and Max, which is compatible with USB-C and MagSafe and supports either CFexpress Type B or SD Cards. This is actually something I dreamt would happen, so I'm happy to see that it did. As much as it pains me to say this, we use our iPhone 15 Pro Max - specifically mine - on a lot of shoots. The footage and stabilization are extremely good under some circumstances such as walking around a trade show, going full speed on a boat with salt water mist, BTS footage, etc. When we use AppleLOG it eats up storage! Being able to use my existing CFExpress cards and easily transfer off footage will be very helpful. Ordered, begrudgingly.
Doing some math on the cost of the reader and the card. This is mainly for pros who want to quickly toss a card for post . Otherwise standard SSD with magnets rings and cable seem more mainstream
I'm surprised power passthrough wasn't included.
Could you ask them if you could use it on the Lumix S5ii X with a CF-Express card?
Great question but I thought S5II X only recorded externally to SSD.
We’ve had 2 Angel bird cf express card just stop working on us.
