Winning the game, doubles your earnings. 4. Use cannon to get easy kill assists. Also, the Buzzard is one of the best jets for the price. It has 4 bombs, 2 missiles and 500 rounds for only 4000$. You can easily get 2 tanks and 1 jet in one run.
I can't help but to notice that you're flying on the same team as some of the top pilots like ShockTrooper. Every time im in the jet server, the best pilots all stack up on one team. Do you only make that kind of money when there isn't another high level pilot going against you? I only ask because I've always noticed that with the good jet pilots... Kinda annoying tbh, one team always having control of the air because the pilots don't want to fly against eachother.... Sure there's other pilots, but the top ranked always bunch up on the same team.
This game is actually a good example of one where many good pilots were on other teams. When I first bought the jet Blufor had no jets and Opfor and Indy had good pilots. Once you take control of the air everyone else starts buying jets, so it always ends up as a jet stack. That's why I always play blufor. The high level players used to always go opfor or Indy, so stacking blufor had less of an effect. Regardless of where the stack is you can almost always make money in jets, it's just a matter of flying more carefully when the other teams have loads of jets. In this game Zyilence was on the other team and he's one of the best pilots in the game.
Zylience might be one of the best pilots but, like you, he spams lockon missiles at spawns to make money, I really wish good pilots would stop using the same tactic as players who cant fly. Targeting should COST $100/second because it takes no skill, that would make pilot skill actually mean something. Right now if you challenge AlexHT or Zylience about abusing this oversight, they reply with a jets challenge, which they CAN/WILL win because they are good but they are really making money/rank with auto-aim and spawn locations, and not by skill. It is exactly this problem that drives people to play infantry only, get bored of that, and go play other games. If you would promote exactly the opposite POV as you have in this video and chime in on the forums to make lockon cost money, it would make skill mean something. What you are doing here is showing a method to rank up without getting good, and its destroying the game.
im a bad pilot cause i refuse to turn up my mouse sensitivity XD. ive played over 2000 hours of war thunder and at least 300 hours of that is flying jets so im no noob to flying fast . you know i might try playing KOTH again but do it right. I also have a pc now that can render the environment at a decent speed. this situation happened in koth the last time I was flying a jet and one of these jet fags that only plays jets decided to ram me cause he couldn't shoot me down but for him the money didn't matter cause he had it was a good laugh. for me 5k credits down the drain hahahah fuck.
I always have the dream of going into KOTH and going CAS, but sadly it is unforgiving for low levels since money and XP is hard to earn in some cases, especially when you don't have vehicles with weapons
go on the 4th us server (pr any koth by samatra server) its always at 0 players and u can just stand in priority zone semi afk and farming 300$ and 300 every 30 seconds one game brings you 30k dollars
Things always look smoother in video, but turning off most of the postprocessing settings and turning off shadows can help, even then I often get 20 fps or less when flying over the AO. My CPU is an i7 3770k.
Two questions. One how do you deal with only having 2 AA missles? Do you ever use your cannon? And Two are there any tips to using the neo since I am not a high level?
Basically you just have to land a lot with the Gryphon, also the six bombs can get you loads of kills. I use the cannon for sure, but using it can be risky because you often have to slow down to hit your shots. If you fly the neo just remember that you can out climb many of the other jets, so if you get one behind you go up.
Yes but in vanilla arma you have to manually select the target with the targeting pod. With the gbu plugin in koth it seems like its just hit r and boom free kill

There is no noise for this one, but that type of lock on got removed around when the tanks DLC came out. Now you can only lock on to actual laser markers.

Some of the jets do have a laser designator, but I'm pretty sure it's disabled on all KOTH servers. If it's there you should be able to access it in the targeting camera.
Would you please explain a little bit about the control configuration you use? I find extremely hard to control airplanes in Arma 3. For the rest, I recommend downloading plane missions from the workshop to practice (which is what I do, however I still find it too hard to control planes in this game)

if you want to learn how to land a jet on basically anything, practice in eden editor but the jet dlc made it very difficult to take off from roads in some jets because they increased the lift off speed for most jets. wipeout still takes off at good ol 110 km/h though.
Oh and 2 questions, I’ve noticed you tend to scroll wheel while flying at enemy jets, any reason? From what I’ve seen you normally don’t select anything. And second, any reason on why you only play on blufor? Or is that just preference?
using the scrollwheel gives you the menu, yes, but it also gives you a dot in the middle of your screen normally. My guess is that that dot is what he wants. The blufor question, no idea, there isn't much difference whether you play blufor, opfor or indepentant. The big difference is in their standard gear, like the outfits of opfor have a better flak etc (you can google that). But for flying a jet your gear is not that important. Maybe the camo of the jets?
I do it as well without any use, aint being a 'high level'. I had an account around 40 but it got randomly wiped with a big update, now i'm around 40 once again so technically i'm not a high level, but then again i should've been. I think i know what you mean, never really noticed I did it as well, thought he did it with a purpose.
I run Countermeasures and single flares, and often I just press C as fast as I can until the beeping stops. Also make sure you turn a bit so the missile doesn't hit you anyways.
you have to turn from the missile if you flare but are flying in a straight line the missile still hits best is if you flare while being at aroung a 90 degrees angle and then flaring

Aiming in jets just takes practice. Shooting targets in the editor can help. I don't think sensitivity matters that much as long as mouse acceleration is disabled, probably anywhere between 7 and 20 centimeters for a 180 degree turn as infantry is fine.

Man....... I used to love this game a year ago before they fucked it all up. I have around 1100 hours on Arma 3, I used to only play arma back in the day. It's gone to shit now. There's legit no skill. There is no such thing as dog fighting anymore. God I used to love dog fighting and using your cannon to take people out. Now, all it is, lock-on, shoot, and repeat. It's impossible to kill anyone with cannons cus all the new Meta jets shoot plastic BB's out of their cannon. I just wish every game developer would stop updating their games and trying to make them better because all they do is ruin everything. I hope one day they'll bring back the nostalgia of being able to actually dogfight someone with your cannon instead of locking on and firing 2 missiles and running away.
If you want skilled fighting and good ballancing you should avoid KoTH. Its an arcady gamemode thats just about having a giggle while knocking down some targets. Good to relax with a beer or two, but not proper Arma. And especially not a well designed, well ballanced mission. Bohemia create a sandbox. Essentially they give us a bunch of tools to work with and create our own content as we like it. But this means they genuinely do not care wether or not new weapons, vehicles and similar are "ballanced" because they expect the mission makers to do the ballancing for the specific requirements of their gamemode. And as long as the missions makers know what they are doing this works out. Sadly ballancing is something Koth doesnt do. They simply keep adding all the new toys no matter what they do to gameplay and no matter how OP they are compared to some older gear. (Some servers with custom settings where they attempt to ballance the mod somewhat excluded) Thats probably why you feel Arma has gone to shit. And from a koth perspective I tend to agree. But there is still plenty of great mods and gamemodes out there where this doesnt happen.
I couldn't agree more, the real reason Dwerto gets the points is because he lock onto Hummingbirds at spawn and waits for them to leave, its the same "strategy" (more like oversight or loophole) that anyone wishing to rank up using no skill can do, AlexHT, Zylience etc 250+ ranks using the same skill set as any idiot that can buy a jet. Go on the Hostile Takeover teamspeak or discord to get a restore. Your profile is stored in your documents folder on your computer, so if that gets deleted or you use a different profile you won't have the same level.

I moved and bought a new PC, I saved the entire Arma 3 folder in my google drive but for some reason when I replace the installed Arma 3 files, it does not work and creates a new username for me then my old one.
How do you lock the ground target for bombing? Does radar have to be turned on? If you don't turn on your radar, enemy jets won't see you on their radars and won't fire you with AA?
Most of the jets have IR sensors that work at shorter range than the radar but don't give away your position. The bombs don't guide themselves anymore though unless you lock on to a laser designator.

You should edit the dead space that occurs after you say something. After you said "runaway" then you had like 8 solid seconds of no sound. I thought my computer broke.
For v12 not that much has changed in terms of strategy. There's no map markers though so you have to find targets visually. The Neophron, Shikra, and Gryphon are all good, I had a 299 killstreak in the Neo before they removed the air to ground missiles. Pretty much just find targets at altitude and dive on them when they leave the safezone. Shooting down transports will probably make you the most money.
@@olafpreuss1455 AA tanks are pretty tough to destroy. You can either avoid them completely or wait until they run out of ammo and bomb them while they drive back to base.
any tips against jets? its fucking hard because they spam more and more jets and they can easily hit me but when i do what other people do ik videos it doesnt work
@@olafpreuss1455 I would recommend watching videos of other flying games and flight simulators. There are some great tutorials for those games and a lot of the same stuff applies to Arma. As for avoiding missiles I recommend using single flares and keeping your speed high at almost all times. Missiles are more likely to hit when you go slow.
The only consistent way to shoot down a Kajman with the cannon on the Gryphon is to reduce your speed significantly, which is one of the quickest ways to get shot down when the other team has 5 jets. I shoot down helicopters with cannon all the time, (watch my other videos) but in this situation it wasn't a safe thing to do.
my tip to you is dont waist a 2.5k$ missile on a kajman that can be taken out by the 250 rounds of 20mm that can be emptied in less than 10 seconds in one full speed run in a gryphon
my point about how many rounds you can throw down range is that all you have to do is hit the kajman 4 or 5 times in one go and it will crash. They are a very unstable vehicle when something get critically injured from the first min of this video i think you are very capable of hitting 5 or 6 shots or more on the kajman going top speed. Also the gryphon has great acceleration. With that said you are also flying over your spawn with a few friendlies in the sky so slowing down to 600kmh to let your cannons run is not terrible. if you put a steep attack like you did from your altitude just not as aggressive you could easily hit the kajman air braking and flaps down this will also allow you do aim very quickly. You will also have a higher likley hood of kitting the kajman's engine or mrot/atq which are in the exact same location on the top of the heli. raise flaps and continue run pick up speed and within 10 seconds you are faster than a buzzard neaphrons. (except black wasps your fucked if they are competent.) BUT THIS IS FROM A ANALYTICAL POINT OF VIEW AND IN THE MOMENT I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME BUT I AM JUST BEING EGOTISTICAL AND WANTING TO SAY WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE YOU ARE A BETTER PILOT THAN ME. problem is there is just 1 server where you can play like this :D you come to any of those other servers you wont have this easy shit. i do this but after they removed pre flare i cant lock on closer that 500m and farther than 1000m its giving me aids

It can be helpful to fly jets in the editor. You can place down some targets and shoot them or just practice taking off and landing.

Man....... I used to love this game a year ago before they fucked it all up. I have around 1100 hours on Arma 3, I used to only play arma back in the day. It's gone to shit now. There's legit no skill. There is no such thing as dog fighting anymore. God I used to love dog fighting and using your cannon to take people out. Now, all it is, lock-on, shoot, and repeat. It's impossible to kill anyone with cannons cus all the new Meta jets shoot plastic BB's out of their cannon. I just wish every game developer would stop updating their games and trying to make them better because all they do is ruin everything. I hope one day they'll bring back the nostalgia of being able to actually dogfight someone with your cannon instead of locking on and firing 2 missiles and running away.

If you want skilled fighting and good ballancing you should avoid KoTH. Its an arcady gamemode thats just about having a giggle while knocking down some targets. Good to relax with a beer or two, but not proper Arma. And especially not a well designed, well ballanced mission.
Bohemia create a sandbox. Essentially they give us a bunch of tools to work with and create our own content as we like it. But this means they genuinely do not care wether or not new weapons, vehicles and similar are "ballanced" because they expect the mission makers to do the ballancing for the specific requirements of their gamemode. And as long as the missions makers know what they are doing this works out.
Sadly ballancing is something Koth doesnt do. They simply keep adding all the new toys no matter what they do to gameplay and no matter how OP they are compared to some older gear. (Some servers with custom settings where they attempt to ballance the mod somewhat excluded)
Thats probably why you feel Arma has gone to shit. And from a koth perspective I tend to agree. But there is still plenty of great mods and gamemodes out there where this doesnt happen.
I couldn't agree more, the real reason Dwerto gets the points is because he lock onto Hummingbirds at spawn and waits for them to leave, its the same "strategy" (more like oversight or loophole) that anyone wishing to rank up using no skill can do, AlexHT, Zylience etc 250+ ranks using the same skill set as any idiot that can buy a jet.

No, but if you have it on you can appear on an enemy's radar even if they have theirs off.

Go on the Hostile Takeover teamspeak or discord to get a restore. Your profile is stored in your documents folder on your computer, so if that gets deleted or you use a different profile you won't have the same level.

They can see you if their radar is on, but if you have your radar on they will be able to see you even if their radar is off.

I moved and bought a new PC, I saved the entire Arma 3 folder in my google drive but for some reason when I replace the installed Arma 3 files, it does not work and creates a new username for me then my old one.

How do you lock the ground target for bombing? Does radar have to be turned on? If you don't turn on your radar, enemy jets won't see you on their radars and won't fire you with AA?
Most of the jets have IR sensors that work at shorter range than the radar but don't give away your position. The bombs don't guide themselves anymore though unless you lock on to a laser designator.

For v12 not that much has changed in terms of strategy. There's no map markers though so you have to find targets visually. The Neophron, Shikra, and Gryphon are all good, I had a 299 killstreak in the Neo before they removed the air to ground missiles. Pretty much just find targets at altitude and dive on them when they leave the safezone. Shooting down transports will probably make you the most money.

@@olafpreuss1455 AA tanks are pretty tough to destroy. You can either avoid them completely or wait until they run out of ammo and bomb them while they drive back to base.
any tips against jets? its fucking hard because they spam more and more jets and they can easily hit me but when i do what other people do ik videos it doesnt work
@@olafpreuss1455 I would recommend watching videos of other flying games and flight simulators. There are some great tutorials for those games and a lot of the same stuff applies
to Arma. As for avoiding missiles I recommend using single flares and keeping your speed high at almost all times. Missiles are more likely to hit when you go slow.

The thing that makes me doubt u know what ur doing is that you use a missle to kill a kajman
The only consistent way to shoot down a Kajman with the cannon on the Gryphon is to reduce your speed significantly, which is one of the quickest ways to get shot down when the other team has 5 jets. I shoot down helicopters with cannon all the time, (watch my other videos) but in this situation it wasn't a safe thing to do.
my tip to you is dont waist a 2.5k$ missile on a kajman that can be taken out by the 250 rounds of 20mm that can be emptied in less than 10 seconds in one full speed run in a gryphon
my point about how many rounds you can throw down range is that all you have to do is hit the kajman 4 or 5 times in one go and it will crash. They are a very unstable vehicle when something get critically injured from the first min of this video i think you are very capable of hitting 5 or 6 shots or more on the kajman going top speed. Also the gryphon has great acceleration. With that said you are also flying over your spawn with a few friendlies in the sky so slowing down to 600kmh to let your cannons run is not terrible. if you put a steep attack like you did from your altitude just not as aggressive you could easily hit the kajman air braking and flaps down this will also allow you do aim very quickly. You will also have a higher likley hood of kitting the kajman's engine or mrot/atq which are in the exact same location on the top of the heli. raise flaps and continue run pick up speed and within 10 seconds you are faster than a buzzard neaphrons. (except black wasps your fucked if they are competent.) BUT THIS IS FROM A ANALYTICAL POINT OF VIEW AND IN THE MOMENT I WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME BUT I AM JUST BEING EGOTISTICAL AND WANTING TO SAY WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE YOU ARE A BETTER PILOT THAN ME. This server doesn't really exist anymore. This video is from before the v10 update. This was Hostile Takeover US #1 Sa-Matra KOTH v9. Hostile takeover doesn't run Sa-Matra KOTH servers anymore as far as I know.

problem is there is just 1 server where you can play like this :D you come to any of those other servers you wont have this easy shit. Bombs will not autolock themselfes unless somebody lases on ground and do what shit flying stright i will kill you with buzzard :D dude once done this shit flying away for me it was very funny :D i flyed after him the second he turned i catched when i got on his tail instantly and killed with machine gun from behind whats the retarded flying. AA rockets are useless if enemy yet has any kind of skill or perk :D only way is machinegun and whats my friend never never fly stright its high g turns skill flying to run away will help you.
