I am 100% a viewer that never makes any of the cakes. I just really enjoy watching the process, creativity, and final results come together. I also watched most of all the Man About Cakes channel... So I've been watching JJR for a while now. It's really fun... And I've always been a fan of the cake /dessert decorating competitions on the food network. So these fit right in!
JJR, when MAC ended, I actually cried. You guys are my favorite baking channel. So when I saw you were doing this I was over the moon. I am an aspiring pastry chef so I love these videos, you guys also help my mental health with your shenanigans.
I regret to inform you guys that the ‘weenus/wenis’ isn’t actually a word... the real name of the excess elbow skin is actually known as olecranial skin. And the reason the skin is free to move, is because there is a bursa (fluid filled sac) underneath it, which protects the elbow joint! Nerd over 🤓 (I’m a paramedic for those wondering!)
Love that you make baking and decorating fun. I bake from home and You have inspired me to join Icing Smiles. I have been a Sugar angel four times now and it has been the most rewarding experience. Thank you. P.S. are you wearing a princess toast shirt? Love it!
Both of those have been done by Ann Reardon on How To Cook That. Twix: th-cam.com/video/mTGQ28Jgvbc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=HowToCookThat Kit Kat: th-cam.com/video/UBoRfprAu-8/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=HowToCookThat
During lockdown baking was my sanity saver. I had 2 teenagers and a diabetic sister. Perfect. Lockdown eased and I moved home to better care for my sister. I now neeeeed to bake more than ever but have no outlet (diabetic sister and limited access to teenagers - thanks Covid). This show is perfect. Thanks JJR and Brandon. I loved sherbet pips and cherry lips (UK sweets) as a kid and liquorice allsorts xx
Enjoyed the video. Y'all make me laugh every time. The look on JJR's face after Brandon's comment about the banana fitting perfectly. PRICELESS.😂😂😂 I almost heard sad sappy music with it. I would love a Chic-o-stic that big.😋
This was so fun!!!!! Loved the montage - good choice, Brandon. Y'all are so weird (that's a super compliment from me because I've been accused of being eccentric and weird since I could talk!!!). My favorite candy bar comes from Australia, Violet Crumble - lavender-flavored (really, it tastes like the color) honeycomb covered in milk chocolate. Super yummy, especially when you stick your tongue on the honeycomb and it melts and tickles (see third sentence above). Can't wait for the next episode!!
@@karengerber8390 Haven't found in the US in years. I used to be able to get them at an import store that I haven't lived near for about 10 years. The last time I was there I couldn't find any. I threw a pity party for myself in front of the candy section!
This episode is amazing! I absolutely have to try this when I can have people over again! I loved all sorts of candy as a kid, but so many of them have gluten in them and I’m allergic. Do you think you will do a gluten free episode at some point?
How fun! I've been making peanut butter cups for years I think I'll try to find a pan like yours and make a giant one!! I've never commented on a cooking site before. I'm loving your banter! Keep us smiling. Joni

Hey JJR! Love the comedy in the show! I've been watching you for years! I don't make cakes often, but when I do, I use your advice! Keep baking away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the new show! My fave candy bars were, and still are, Mounds bars and Mallow Cups. I'd love to see JJR do a gluten free cake variation of either. Actually, any gluten free cakes would be amazing!
I feel you, the only difference is that I'm not lactose intolerant but I eat Keto (no sugars/carbs of any kind), so this videos are like torture for me hahaha :P
Theres subs for Cream cheese and half and half (still haven't found heavy cream ) but jeez I hate the almond milk cream cheese. But there's gluten free cake recipes. And dark chocolate you just have to check the milk content
Mississippi based cake decorator here 🙋♀️ I'm not brave enough to do my own decorating channel, but I'm very proud of your achievements and very much enjoy the content you put out!
Peanut Butter cups are one of my favorite candies. The other 3 are Snickers, Kit Kat and Twix. It would be cool to see anyone of those 3 made gigantic, especially the Kit Kat. Yummy!
00:43 Saturday 3 October, 2020 I enjoy your Show, JJR. Nice camera work, Brandon. I love hearing you both laugh. I ate... Planter's jumbo block, Giant taffy, Lifesavers Pineapple... You can so tell I am 62 years old. Thank you for the memory prompt. I would love to see you do Giant Skittles & a Giant Starburst. Best regards! Karen
I would love to see a giant twix bar! Also you are all so amazing and some much fun to watch that I am rewatching your YBD videos. Keep up the awesome work. ❤️ p.s. I have been watching since MAC and have never made a cake from scratch.
I am so in love with this! I'm one of those that never make the cakes, lol, but literally I could make this for a family gathering and there would be something for everyone!
I want to see a GIANT Kit-Kat bar! They are my absolute favorite (only if eaten properly...layer by later after you've carefully removed the chocolate sides)
"Buy the farm" is a shortened form of "buy the 6-by-3 farm", which meant to die. Soldiers in WW 2 would say they wanted to save up their pay so they could go home and buy a farm, marry their childhood sweetheart, and start growing stuff for a living. But many of them realized that the only "farm property" they were going to get was a 6-foot by 3 foot plot of land, the exact size of a grave. So to "buy the farm' means to die, to lose a game, to fail at something.
Watching an entire year of You've Been Desserted because I didn't realize I'd missed the Man about Cake episodes where the new show was mentioned. I hunted them down today and found out about the new show so now my kiddo and I are binge-watching to catch up! Great show :D
OMG when that first chocolate layer fell out of that "mold pan" I was like OH MY GOSH! I can't believe it... I did hold my breath 4 the rest of them. Lol. I love watching to get inspired & ideas for when I do bake. (Sometimes I Wish I had more time) Thank G-d my kids keep me VERY busy !! THANKS FOR ALL YOUR FUN & FUNNY videos!
Amazing~! If you do another one of these, I could go for a giant Twix bar for sure... Also, I haven't heard the word "weenus" in like 15 years - thanks for bringing it back :'D
Nonpareils were my childhood candy and I still love them! Whenever my grandparents came up and stopped at the giftshop for our state and picked them up, I'd always be the one to eat most of them. I'd also buy the boxes from the drugstore and eat them all in one sitting. However, my second favorite candy are dark chocolate milky way bars, which I think would make an excellent candy to make giant.
I don't make the large elaborate stacked cakes you do, but I use your chocolate cake recipe all the time! They make fantastic cupcakes as well and I use Ermine vegan frosting.
My favorite candy growing up was anything sour because my sister wouldn't touch it and because i just enjoyed the sour hitting the back of my throat. Oh and can you do a wintery wedding cake because I need ideas for my own weeding cake and for my daughters.
Looks good. Wish I'd had that pan when I was trying to make a peanut butter cup cake for my daughter's birthday. I made a peanut butter cake with chocolate frosting but my cake was a bit crumbly so I chickened out on trying to trim it for the cup shape. Rolled out chocolate fondant to wrap around the cake using bamboo skewers to create the "rippled" look. That wasn't great looking but my topper made up for it. I took a bag of Reeses peanut butter pieces and with a skewer and some melted chocolate made it look like a bag of candy being poured on top of the cake.
SNICKERS! Love the nougat 😋 I too ate fun dip and remember those suckers, kinda like smarties texture, but tart and they were yellow, pink and blue (or green) radiant? Love!
How ingenious Joshua! I am going to do these for Halloween 🎃. Hi Brandon. Great job on video and reading comments. Would love to see a chocolate covered cherry that big. Lol loved the montage I laughed so hard. Thanks Brandon
It was the usually great content......then there was the epic montage that took it to outer space level! Not sure if it was all Brandon's idea but it was epic! Fun doing a desert besides cake, thanks. And yes I do make some of them but I'm more of a concept thief,,,,sorry.
