My thing is....the stuff you find is always dry, not buried, etc. That tells me that it was recently placed at that spot. Those newspapers are very fragile and would be in a lot worse shape had they been there for a long time.

I think the lady that emailed you is spot on. I had that thought myself. It makes perfect sense to be very careful in these situations and use gloves if you pick this stuff up. Even the police do that so it makes sense for you to.

If there is an air force base, the planes are probably doing touch downs. That is where the pilot takes off, flies around and then lands just enough to touch the run way and take off again. That would explain circling airplanes. I lived in the path of an international airport near an air force base and saw some pretty large planes doing this exercise.

Me! I'm originally from Chicago you dont do that no way no how you will get killed, carjacked, both. I never have my windows down at night. I ALWAYS check the back seats and under the vehicles for feet or odd shadows. If I am alone I never come to a complete stop at any red light or stop sign. I know it sounds bad, but I wont stop for a police officer either if I'm alone at night. I will go to the police station, or I will pull into a well lit,well populated area. I'm never being a victim of trusting people too much again! Ladies be safe out there! Guys too you arent immune.

Me! I'm originally from Chicago you dont do that no way no how you will get killed, carjacked, both. I never have my windows down at night. I ALWAYS check the back seats and under the vehicles for feet or odd shadows. If I am alone I never come to a complete stop at any red light or stop sign. I know it sounds bad, but I wont stop for a police officer either if I'm alone at night. I will go to the police station, or I will pull into a well lit,well populated area. I'm never being a victim of trusting people too much again! Ladies be safe out there! Guys too you arent immune.
