- Authorities say at least 17 people have died after a boat suspected of carrying Haitian migrants capsized seven miles off the coast of the Bahamas. NBC News’ Kerry Sanders has the details.

The thousands and thousands who have perished needlessly trying to take such journeys in order to avoid going through the legal process of entry (As just one cause out of many) must not be encouraged to continue doing so. Blame the Bahamian smugglers profiting off of immigrants struggles. It’s not Americas fault their boat capsized. The US coast guard is looking for them and they are not even our citizens. Drowning to death is horrific as it is already especially at night in the water I can only imagine what the screams were like. It's sad because they really could have started something new in America.
