The experience that you are allowing your kids to have at this stage of life is priceless and one that they will cherish with age, after all it is memories that hol real value to us nothing else. Bravo to you all and thank you so much for sharing.
Chacala is the place to really see the Mexican life. Many west coasters are discovering it. Great job on the video it shows why we go there every winter for the last four years. The toasted macaroons on the beach are to die for.
After binge watching your videos, my family and I have decided to take a year off and rv. I am terrified yet so motivated by you. Love watching you guys. Wish us luck.
Wow. Congrats on the decision. We were terrified too. The stories on the podcast really helped me center myself as the date started approaching. Check it out here. On our website there are links to listen on iTunes or Android (Stitcher Radio). Over 100 stories of people who have done something similar. If you click episodes and then sort by RV, you can isolate the RV stories. www.keepyourdaydream.com/
I absolutely LOVE Chacala!!! I have been there so many times. It is remote enough to away from tourist area and yet they have everything you need for a a wonderful experience. The penthouse at the hotel on the beach has been my place to go. What a great experience!!!
You guys produce such great videos! The drone shots are amazing! Great family! I'm a grown ass man, and I teared up when you shared the video after your beautiful golden retriever passed.
The fruit is called a Jack Fruit in English. You get a sticky stuff all over your fingers when you try to pry it off its thick skin. This stuff is impossible to get rid of. But you can beat it by smearing oil on your palm and fingers before you get started on the fruit. Now the sticky stuff doesnt stick to your fingers and you can wash off the oil when you are done. It is best eaten with a little dip in honey.
You're next Mexico trip? We heard you can swim with the Whale Sharks in La Paz. And there is an area off the baja where the Whales have calfs. We heard there were 2,800 whales there last year!
Keep Your Daydream I would like to go to Mexico but I just dream of going there thru your vlogs and other vloggers! Someday! So hope you can travel there and vlog Baja for us who cannot go. Still enjoying your Puerto Vallarta vlogs! Keep up the good work!!
I'm Mexican and I live in Southern California was originally born in Guadalajara so it's interesting and really really fun to see my city and the different places around seen by Americans trying to have a fun time, I personally like the way you all feel curious about the people and customs, it's a different way to understand were I'm from but definitely my very best favorite part in your videos is well you aren't afraid to try things new to you new food and walking the streets out of what typically you would see with tour buses I think it's just great 👍🏻
Such as great comment. We had pizza in Guadalajara because the boys really wanted it... and were criticized hard for not eating Mexican food. If only people watched the entire episode or several before jumping to conclusions :) We only ate American food twice in 10 weeks. We just had Mexican food in Wyoming and it was actually Mexican food... not the American Mexican food that is commonly served in the States. Soon I'll be able to reply in Spanish. Todavía estamos aprendiendo español
Just about cried when I saw this. So many memories of La Peñita, Chacala, Las Varas, San Blas and my favorite beach in the world Las Tortugas which is just North of Chacala. When I tried yaca for the first time I thought it was like eating a whole fruit basket at once. Thanks for the video, too many great memories from Nayarit and Jalisco.
Yet gain, you've blown my mind with the quality of content you produce. Love it! P.s Love how the boys just sit in back of the truck/car without a care in the world that the camera is on. All three of your kids are awesome. So are you!
Thanks! Yes, the trip has taught our kids to actually sit next to each other without fighting. The camera was never a problem. They are getting ideas on how they can contribute to vlog too. Have some good ideas for Season 3
Another great video. Wonderful job. Thanks for letting us tag along. Mexico looks super interesting. Our second RV trip(this year) is coming up starting tomorrow(Stone Mountain Ga), so very looking forward to it. Enjoy and stay safe.
Love that you share your travels and your family with us, love the excitement you have about all that you do and see. I have never been to Mexico, Now I feel as tho I have seen several areas along the coast, and I love the coast. watching one of your videos is always a great stress reliever. You have great children, and you are giving them so many opportunities for education and growth, it is sooo wonderful. Take care.
Thanks Susan. Glad you're enjoying the videos. Yes, I think the kids will appreciate this more later in life. Not that they don't now, but I don't think they understand completely.
Yeah, when I found that track, Trish looked up and said oh that's nice. And then I kept saying "Stay good, stay good". Sometimes they start out great and turn crazy! Thx.
I'm loving your videos of Mexico. At first, I was a little scared for you guys after hearing not so safe things about Mexico, but WOW! So beautiful! We got our Salem out this weekend and we are ready to roll! Where will season 3 be?
Yeah, we did a lot of research on Mex. We wouldn't have gone if we didn't think it was safe. More to come in our Q&A vid. Glad you're enjoying the videos! Spring is here. Enjoy the season. We'll be heading up the West Coast. So much good stuff planned.
I’m currently in the process of watching your videos from start to current.. you guys are awesome! We love camping, and want to travel.. just upgraded from our first travel trailer to a brand new travel trailer. when the kids get a little bit older, we will travel like you guys!
Brilliant video, caleb is such a funny lad his facial expressions are knock out. Mexico's tourist board should be sponsoring your chanel you've got me sold on the country. by the fun you've had there is guess you'll be going back ?? stay safe happy travels.
Thanks Stephen. Yes, we'll be back, but not before doing AK and so many other places. No double dipping until we've hit all the hot spots! Yeah, Caleb is funny.
I’m from San Diego but I have fam in Santiago Ixcuintla and when we visit our fam we always go to San Blas or Chacala it’s so beautiful and private compared to other beaches and the water is perfect. Love that you guys are in my beautiful Nayarit!❤️
My wife and I love your videos, it's great to watch you live life. We have become addicted and can't stop watching.i have a question on your KYD insider program. Can you upgrade to another level at anytime or opt out if need be. Your videos have inspired us to start working towards being able to follow in your foot steps. Thanks Dale.
Hey Dale. Yes, endless options on Patreon. Your choice of the number of videos at any level - easy to change anytime. It's been fun. The best option is the $5 level and then adjust the number of video to your liking. That way you get the deleted scenes, etc.
Wow oh wow! 😳 Gorgeous place. Fish to die for, pineapple fruit drink to do flips for, great drone view of beach, yaca fruit....so good. Trish...you ate or drank the whole time! I'm envious. Still watching....
Great video! Hope Tori had fun at her dance. My son really wants to meet Caleb someday :) I grew up in Tucson and I used to dive in San Carlos. You are so right about the Mexican people. They are really wonderful. Looking forward to the next video!
San Carlos has changed since I used to go down there in the 80's. It's pretty much Arizona now. After being in PV for over 2 months, Trish walked into a restaurant and asked to see a menu in Spanish and the guy said, excuse me? Lol. $50 US for burgers
You guys are awesome. This is what raving is all about, we are heading back to Tucson in about 4 weeks, we are in upstate NY right now. Permanently moving to Tucson. Cant wait
Sweet! Thx. Always looking to cut and make the videos longer, which means we're including more footage and covering more ground. We had this vid done and then shaved almost 2 minute off.
We love your videos and this one was great! Again, keeping us inspired to keep working towards our own rv adventures. Glad you added the drone to your gear, so worth it!
You guys are awesome! Thank you for sharing your love of Mexico. I have had so many fears of Mexico but now I would love to go with a group and explore!
Thank you again for another amazing video! Your family is having quite the adventure. Thanks for taking us along. Your destinations are absolutely spectacular. I agree with a previous poster, they should be paying you to advertise for Mexico, I want to go!
I love your channel! I frequent the Baja peninsula (on motorcycle) and now you got me wanting to take the RV to the mainland. I don't even own an RV yet. With any luck will have one next month. What would be helpful is adding the time if year in the comments for those of us wanting to follow in your footsteps. Thank and keep up the good work.
Love watching your channel You are doing an excellent Job with filming Great video Love your family Caleb is very funny I pray God continues to bless you guys with safety and abundant life in Jesus name looking forward to the rest of Mexico
Great video! We've RV-ed down in Baja before, and agree that it's a wonderful place to travel. San Filipe Was the furthest we ever went tho. So glad you're enjoying this time with your family! Side note...Green jackfruit makes a great vegan 'pulled pork' substitute - perfect texture and with BBQ sauce, it is perfect on a bun! Jackfruit is the best, green or ripe! Love it!
just found your videos about Mexico. I love them. I'm proud of people like you guys showing the beauty of my Mexico. i had been lucky enough to have travel pretty much all over the Mexican states. my wife's family is from Nayarit and I love the beaches there. Sayulita used to be like chacala and now it's a different place due to many turists. My in-laws prepare one of the best Pescado sarandeado just like the one you guys we're eating. I now live in the pacific norwest and as much as I love Oregon i feel nostalgic about Mexico little towns. by the way i love you guys showing the real Mexico vs the big resorts. good luck guys you just gained a follower
Wonderful drone shots. How dare you eat that beautiful grilled fish in front of me!! 😋 I am so happy you guys had such a great time in Mexico 🇲🇽. Feliz familia. 😃 Caleb you are first class always in my book. So funny.
Nice!! You guys make me smile... I am really enjoying following your families adventure... Thank you again. At 8:35 I envisioned myself anchored just offshore with my catamaran, then I remembered that I don't actually own one...
Hey guys that was awsome..you all are so blessed and lucky to be living that kind of life ...I am so darn jealous that you al l have gotten to be as many places as you have ...lol most people don't get to do 1/3 of what you all have done...but you have definitely inspired my wife and I to venture out and take more chances to experience more thank you both for so much that you do...see ya all soon on the next video lol
Very cool Jerry. We sure meet a lot of great people at rv parks. So many retired couples enjoying life. Trish and I are inspired by them that they are using their rig to see family and stay busy with positive things. This is definitely something we're going to do again as empty nesters and when we're retired. Keep in touch.
thanks to for the window into ur life and feels like we all along on the trip with you watching ur posts. so as us English say ta ( means thanks lol ) xx

Banana and bubble gum. Absolutely right ! ahahahaha I feel the same about it !! I'm from Brazil and we have lots of jacas everywhere, just like Mexico. :-) Happy travels, I love ALL your videos, Excellent ! Cheers from Rio.
its a jackfruit and it tastes like Juicy fruit gum! normally use gloves to clean out and its an amazing way to help end hunger. green jack fruit can be used as a protein sub
Love your videos and tagging along each week. We are buying my in laws pickup and travel trailer this week. We have several trips planned already. I hope one of your future seasons will bring you to beautiful Idaho to explore.
One of our favorite beaches on mainland Mexico! You did an amazing job on this one - fantastic footage & perfect music! Just too bad our boat wasn't anchored in the bay... ha ha :)
The funny part is we probably know at least one of those boats that was anchored there - so many of our friends stop there between PV and Maz. They put photos on Facebook and make me jealous as well...
Keep Your Daydream, another great video! I loved the drone shots and the beginning and the end of the video. Oh my gosh, Caleb had me cracking up the whole video. He is so funny! I loved his reaction when you said you get air ride suspension on the plane. It's great to see how much Carson and Caleb love Tori. When are you planning on being in my neck of the woods (WA/OR)? The guy that was dancing at the beginning was being a little inappropriate.
Hello guys i am Alberto From Guadalajara and a would like to tell you Chacala it´s one of my favorites places to go in vacations. So i saw you video and its awesome most of your videos. Chacala its only 3 hr in freeway from Guadalajara but this beach belongs to Nayarit State i inviete everybary to know this beutifull beach. And i would like to tell about the fish that you have eaten is called Pescado Zarandeado this delicius dish is it prepared whit a sause "salsa" made whit regional ingredientes the principal is chile de arbol and have a little touch of garlic and lemon juce "jugo" and its very regional mode in this pacific region of Mexico Lindo. Saludos y les deseo suerte en su español cuando gusten yo puedo ayudarlos estan invitados a Guadalajara. Gracias.
Yes, we loved it there. And loved Guadalajara too! And Tequila. And Sayulita... pretty much all of it, but Chacala was great for us. Little to no English spoken, which we liked and the fish was amazing.
Ok guys our Mexico its awesome and this only the started you must visit Souther States too, like Cascadas de agua azul, Cañon del sumidero, Palenque , Lagunas de Montebello, in Chiapas State and of course all the Yucatan Peninsul are Beutifull, Each part or States of Mexico have something to give us. Good look. Sigan disfrutando y me encantan sus producciones estan muy bien hechas. Saludos.
What is yucca there is Jack Fruit in America and you can actually find it in some grocery stores in many forms it can actually be used as a meat substitute.
Yay finally caught up on your videos after having left you guys in Boston, about the same time we were moving from Boston to California (you walked in front of where I used to work in the North End). I was in Orlando during Hurricane Matthew with my family as well, then drove from Florida to the Bay Area on an amazing road trip visiting 4 National Parks along the way and many beautiful sites. Loved this video, more great tips and a really great insight into traveling Mexico. Can't wait to see the rest of season two. Do you know how long season 3 will be?
I was looking for video's on traveling to Alaska, came across you guys and can't stop watching, you guys are great. We moved to Arizona from Michigan in Dec. Liked seeing the Michigan video. We are new full timers. Decided to do it while our youngest goes to college in Tempe. (UAT). We live in Black Canyon City. Thanks for the adventure, ever think about Alaska would love to see it. We are leaving around the middle of May to go there for the summer. T
Hey there Bob. AK on our list. We're in Carefree right now and gearing up for Season 3 on the West Coast to BC starting in 2 weeks. We even discussed doing AK this summer, but not sure we can do it. Who knows. If not, next summer potentially. We loved Michigan. Keep in touch!
True about language! I speak Japanese and life in Japan for us is absolutely wonderful with our Japanese friends and even people we just meet. Wish I knew Spanish too! Oh me Caleb, you made me laugh! Were on our third trailer, but this one is a bit small, so looking now for something bigger. My truck is like yours, '15 F150 3.5 Ecoboost, 4x4 towing beast. We've just got to get to Mehico now!
Hey Mark, Trish and the clan! how ya'll been?! i am sorry i haven't post a comment lately but we been really busy here in S.K. I've been trying watch your videos but i was really tired. i finally catch up with all!!! whoop! whoop! and let me tell you! they are better and better! I notice that this one was longer but it kept me watching the whole time. i am learning little by little on how to do it right, but is like you say it takes practice and consistency. Well guys I am glad ya'll made it back... well i know maddy is with ya'll in your thoughts though. So... Whats NEXT??!! oh and nice spanish Familia! take care and God bless!!!
Season 3 is the West coast to BC. Can't wait. I think it will be the best yet. Yeah, I'm trying to make the vids longer if I can keep the content snappy. I'll check out your channel and see what's up in SK.
Last year I was in San Juan de los Lagos, not too far from Guadalajara. My son and his wife have a small plot of ranch land there - 4-5 acres on top of one of the hills. San Juan is a tiny town, but has a very famous cathedral. We were there during Holy Week and the town was full. In the old central part of town the streets are very narrow and walkable. I have a Google Plus account with a few photos but haven't used it in a couple of years now. That's why you see my pic - it's from my G+ acct. Well, anyway, since Google owns TH-cam, I wish there were a way to let us upload at least a small pic in the comments. I can do that in my Flickr account, but don't think it's possible here. Safe travels to you guys.
That's great. Wow, Holy Week in MX is nuts! We'd love to be there for that. I'm sure the cathedral is beautiful. Feel free to PM the Flicker account to our fbook page.
It's so funny - all these years I didn't want or have any need for a FB page. Then THIS year I started a business on eBay in my old age of retirement and decided it would be good to have a FB page, but they won't let me in. Go figure. It says my account (which I've never had) is blocked. I tried and tried to get around it, but couldn't. Finally someone suggested I use a different email account. That's a bummer. I just haven't gotten around to setting up another email just for FB. I have another one that's just for business, but I don't want FB on that. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I'd still like to get that FB page, but am staying really busy with this new business. Anyway, here's the link to my Flickr acct: www.flickr.com/photos/88245539@N05/ I have thousands more images that I just haven't had time to process. I mostly use Lightroom and some Photoshop. When I saw Chacala Beach in your description I thought you were referring to Lake Chapala. I had just watched some videos last night about US & Canadian retirees in the towns around Lake Chapala. It's a HUGE lake. I had looked at it on the map when I was in San Juan. It's not far from there. Eventually I'll get back there with my son again. Thanks for the note. I enjoy you guys. You have a really great family.
The experience that you are allowing your kids to have at this stage of life is priceless and one that they will cherish with age, after all it is memories that hol real value to us nothing else. Bravo to you all and thank you so much for sharing.

Great tip! Next time. It doesn't take much to get your filling. Very rich.
Murali Muralidharan I was going to write the same thing, that it's a jackfruit. Never tasted one though.
I work at Kroger and we get A Jack Fruit about once a year. I don't know if anyone buys one but I'm glad you guys did and told us about it!!
Yay!! Season 3!!! Can't wait!!
Oh boy. Still a lot more of Mexico to come! But we're excited about Season 3. Great new destinations to come.

For those of us who are whole food plant-based, jackfruit tastes really good with barbecue sauce. It’s like pulled pork. Trish, you should try it!
Brilliant video! Your editing skills have indeed improved sooooooooooooooooo much! Keep it up!

Your chances are good! :)
Loving loving your videos!!
You guys are awesome! Thank you for sharing your love of Mexico. I have had so many fears of Mexico but now I would love to go with a group and explore!

Love watching your channel You are doing an excellent Job with filming Great video Love your family Caleb is very funny I pray God continues to bless you guys with safety and abundant life in Jesus name looking forward to the rest of Mexico
Thanks for the blessings. Having a great time. Love sharing!
Love your videos!. I am watching you from Tepic during these confined days.
The drone shots really emphasize the natural beauty of the locations :-)
Yeah, particularly this place Unreal with the massive green cliffs. A real neat area.
Love it!
Wow, this jackfruit with BBQ has been brought several times. Must be good! Next time.
just found your videos about Mexico.
I agree, the non-tourist towns are the best! Sayalita was nice but San Fransisco was better! I look forward to exploring more of the “real” Mexico.
Wonderful drone shots. How dare you eat that beautiful grilled fish in front of me!! 😋 I am so happy you guys had such a great time in Mexico 🇲🇽. Feliz familia. 😃 Caleb you are first class always in my book. So funny.
Thanks Patty. Yes, fish was amazing. The boys got another one! We spend 1k pesos on fish that day. Caleb and his first class obsession :)
Nice!! You guys make me smile... I am really enjoying following your families adventure... Thank you again.
At 8:35 I envisioned myself anchored just offshore with my catamaran, then I remembered that I don't actually own one...
You and me both envisioned that! Lol. Great comment.
You have so nailed this area!!! Miss you all ... I am sharing the videos with everyone!!! Caleb you are missed too!! (Just for the record)
Hey there Shirley! Thanks! Caleb misses you and bro.
Classic Carson
Amazing Guys! Stay Safe guys!
very much enjoy watching your videos, good camera work, good sound and lots of interesting content
Sweet! Thanks!
Keep in touch.
thanks to for the window into ur life and feels like we all along on the trip with you watching ur posts. so as us English say ta ( means thanks lol ) xx

its a jackfruit and it tastes like Juicy fruit gum! normally use gloves to clean out and its an amazing way to help end hunger. green jack fruit can be used as a protein sub
Love your videos and tagging along each week. We are buying my in laws pickup and travel trailer this week. We have several trips planned already. I hope one of your future seasons will bring you to beautiful Idaho to explore.
There is a small chance we'll hit Idaho on our way back from Season 3. Not sure yet. Season 3 will be 4 months and not near enough time for the West.
“Thumbnail” Caleb is awesome.
Caleb is HILARIOUSLY precocious. He's a natural for the entertainment industry (or a very successful grifter, lol)
Great photos!!! Love your drone footage!
Yeah, that place was sick to fly the drone.
One of our favorite beaches on mainland Mexico! You did an amazing job on this one - fantastic footage & perfect music! Just too bad our boat wasn't anchored in the bay... ha ha :)
Yeah, those boats were making me jealous!
The funny part is we probably know at least one of those boats that was anchored there - so many of our friends stop there between PV and Maz. They put photos on Facebook and make me jealous as well...
That Looks AMAZING! New addition to the "List"! Oh,and Donuts,,,yeah,,I'm there! ;-) Thank you for sharing, love you guys! C-Ya!,,,,Peace!
Yeah, donuts on the beach. Unreal. That beach was so much to chill.
great content guys, you are having way too much fun,iam jealous
:) Thanks!
Thanks Colton. We should be in WA/OR around June. Still unsure of the timing.
That's cool. It really is a small county. Season 3 will be about 4 months.
your team is the best
Thanks!

Thank you .Enjoyed
Sweet.
Cool editing
Thx AJ!
you guys rock!
Hey Julie! I knew your name looked familiar when you became an KYD Insider.
Yes, add Mx to your list. It's been so much fun. Thx for the note.
Is Tori's mobile phone like life support machine ? Never without it 📱
That's probably true. She's 17 and decided to travel full-time in an RV with her family. We're okay with it.
Love the videos
Thanks Jean!
