It is a bloody and deadly war on Ucraine, started without reason by Putin. Russian army are so bad prepared and the motivation very low. They have order to shot with artillery on civilian apartment buildings like that one you live in. They had also killed a lot of people in two hospitals, mostly children but also some wimen. Putin cal it a special operation, we cal it an russian invasion and a full scale war. Today Putin and his crew called Ukraine, Germany, Poland and Moldavia for Nazists. Mr Putin have totaly lost control. The west are united, strong and do everything to not escalate the war but if Putin dont stop the war it can soon be the start of world war 3. My favorite TH-camrs are Russian and Ukrainian. I grew up in the 60s and 70s in Iowa, New Jersey, and California USA, and we didn't have a good opinion of Soviet countries. Most of what we learned about the Soviet Union was oppression and aggression. In the last few years, TH-cam has taught us that most people around the world are the same. They just want to work, support their families and enjoy life! One of my favorite channels is 'Pavlo from Ukraine', 2 weeks ago he was showing us his beautiful Ukrainian vacation. Just like you! But PUTIN and your country put a stop to that. I don't want to go back to the old opinion of Russia. The people of Russia have to stand up and say "This is not how it's done, anymore" When we had someone try to give us a Putin Style government. We put a stop to it. The orange Putin will never RULE this country! Silence is where a Tyrant gets his power! The Russian TH-camrs have a large audience. They need to stand up for 'right'!
I grew up in the island of Mauritius in the 70's and most of my childhood I was very much afraid of the 3rd world war and the USSR.People like Brejnev or Andropov were very stern and scary leaders .The news was also often talking about defection ,People will risk their lives to leave the East for the West .There was Sting's song Russian who I loved but at the same time was fearsome.Then Gorbatchev came and it was the first time I saw a Russian leader smile ,he changed everything and opened the East to the West.I stopped being afraid of Russia and was more positive about the future ,then Putin came and gradually I started to get scared again.I also came to know through my job people who worked for the Russians oligarch ,it didnt help.When Putin invaded Crimea in 2014 I knew that we were back to the old scary USSR with the lies and propaganda.But something I understood is that Russian people are mostly also victims of Putin and they want also like in the song a peaceful world.Unfortunately some are brainwashed or in denial but those who aren't are too afraid to do something .So..... I hope that one day they will have the guts to do something ,it could be the peiople ,the army or some oligarch whoever does it will have the whole world's gratitude .Even If I hurt for Ukraine and my friends there I hope that the world won't hate the all Russians people.SLAVA UKRANI !
Altai region is very much like the sate of Montana. I know of a few people from here that moved to Altai because it is very much the same. Maybe because the food is better in Altai. ) )

I grew up in the island of Mauritius in the 70's and most of my childhood I was very much afraid of the 3rd world war and the USSR.People like Brejnev or Andropov were very stern and scary leaders .The news was also often talking about defection ,People will risk their lives to leave the East for the West .There was Sting's song Russian who I loved but at the same time was fearsome.Then Gorbatchev came and it was the first time I saw a Russian leader smile ,he changed everything and opened the East to the West.I stopped being afraid of Russia and was more positive about the future ,then Putin came and gradually I started to get scared again.I also came to know through my job people who worked for the Russians oligarch ,it didnt help.When Putin invaded Crimea in 2014 I knew that we were back to the old scary USSR with the lies and propaganda.But something I understood is that Russian people are mostly also victims of Putin and they want also like in the song a peaceful world.Unfortunately some are brainwashed or in denial but those who aren't are too afraid to do something .So..... I hope that one day they will have the guts to do something ,it could be the peiople ,the army or some oligarch whoever does it will have the whole world's gratitude .Even If I hurt for Ukraine and my friends there I hope that the world won't hate the all Russians people.SLAVA UKRANI !

Altai region is very much like the sate of Montana. I know of a few people from here that moved to Altai because it is very much the same. Maybe because the food is better in Altai. ) )
Wow! I love swans,, I live in Minnesota U.S. and the swan population is getting bigger ever year. I love to go down to the river to watch them. Beautiful countryside images thank you very much I wish I could travel their and explore. But unfortunately, our world leaders want to profit off another war.

So nice to see your charming self again! This is a wonderful post about a place I would never have thought to visit. Who knew Siberia had such picturesque places? Thanks for showing us; You do a great job, as always of showing the beauty of the place and providing information about the people who live there. I'd like to see more about the Altai people, their culture and foods. That "frozen waterfall" is spectacular. The carved wooden sculptures look a bit like old "Viking" carvings from Norway/Denmark. I'm looking forward to Part 2.
